Mark in the paint dept was extremely helpful. Gave great advice- showed/explained to me the full range of paint brushes/ rollers and helped in my choice of paint finish. He was very patient, well informed and without him I wouldn’t have found the paint etc I needed.

Bought a Mitre saw in the Antrim branch which turned out to be unsuitable for my needs so was in Bangor (000185) and couldn’t find my receipt Karen (228579) in Bangor couldn’t have been more helpful with my issues and was friendly throughout she was a real asset to the company

I have shopped in Homebase for a long time and have just moved to Bangor so have been in and out getting things for my new house. Unfortunately, the service I received this afternoon was appalling. I needed to return a can of paint that I had bought as a back up. Put it down and the cashier, Karen, took one look at it and said the seal was broken. I assured her it was not and had not been opened (there was a small dent on the edge which I am fairly certain had been there when we purchased it). She slammed down what she was holding, said “I can’t be bothered arguing with you” and proceeded to thump around on the till. The only way I knew she was actually processing the refund was when she barked at me to put my card on the machine. I told her i did not appreciate the attitude or calling me a liar, (not the words used but the general accusation that was being made) to which she responded with “I am not calling you a liar). She then handed me my receipt and stared at me. I had to ask is that it, to make sure that the transaction has been completed. I have to say that this is the first time in 20 years of shopping at Homebase that I have been spoke to and treated this way and I will have to think carefully about whether I can go back if this is the service I get from someone there.

Order promptly prepared. Collection couldn't have been easier.
