Extremely Disappointed – PCB Failed After Just 1 Year, Horrible Service Delay & Attitude
purchased a Hitachi air conditioner [ 1.5 Ton Inverter Split AC] about one year ago, and it worked fine initially. But exactly 1 year and 2 days after purchase, the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) got damaged, and the AC stopped working completely – no cooling at all during peak summer heat in Odisha.
I immediately contacted Hitachi customer service and raised a complaint. The technician came, diagnosed it as a faulty PCB (likely the outdoor unit one), and said it needs replacement. Since it's still under the standard 1-year warranty (and possibly extended on PCB/controller as per some models), they confirmed it should be covered.
But now comes the worst part: They are saying it will take a minimum of 7 days or more just to get the part and replace it! In this unbearable heat (Odisha summers are brutal, 40+°C easily), how am I supposed to survive without AC for over a week? When I explained the urgency – family with kids/elderly, health issues in extreme heat – the service person literally said, "I am not the owner" and showed zero empathy or urgency. The behaviour was rude and completely unprofessional
