Outstanding Service – Mike at HiQ Stockton Saved My Avensis

I recently took my 2013 Toyota Avensis to HiQ Stockton after months of a frustrating and intermittent fault — the car wouldn’t start properly, the dash would blackout, and every time I put it in reverse the whole system would clunk and fail. Several garages couldn’t figure out what was wrong.

Mike at HiQ Stockton diagnosed the issue quickly, explained everything clearly, and fixed the problem professionally without trying to upsell or guess. The fault turned out to be the gear selector mechanism, which he replaced — and since then the car has been running perfectly with no starting issues, no electrical failures, and reversing is finally smooth again.

From the moment I walked in, Donna on reception was welcoming, organised, and kept me fully updated. She made the whole experience stress-free.
I dropped the car around 5 pm, I expected that it will stay the whole day, Mike stayed late at night checking and testing and he called me first thing in the morning to inform that issue was solved, I was really impressed.

Came down with my truck after having a few issues. Donna was superb in getting organised and fitting me in at short noticed. mike was a legend getting truck sorted for me. Explained what was wrong and helped out getting all fixed. Highly reccomend

The most accommodating garage I have ever been to. Always fit me in and very welcoming.
To top it off they have a kids play room with a TV so when I have had to take kids, it has not been an ordeal. Kids actually enjoy being there

Had my car booked in for an MOT and I have to say what a fantastic garage this is, the facilities were comfortable, and was offered free tea with a biscuit whilst I waited, the team were very friendly and were very attentive. Would highly recommend this garage, I will be using again.

These people are absolute diamonds. I rang them when I was stuck with a puncture and, despite the fact that they were about to close, they very kindly came out in the cold and dark, recovered the vehicle, took my wife and dog home and then re-opened their workshop and made me a coffee while they did the repair work! I was back on the road 20mins later. Very grateful.
