I would have given 5 stars - the service and vehicle were good - but I was asked to pick from any car in a given zone, and there were only 2; neither of them in the car class I selected when I booked. Either give me more choices or (easier) give me only 1 vehicle and make sure it is the vehicle in the class I booked (or better).

Checked in at counter and all information was good, picked up car and proceeded to the gate and was turned back, attendant said there was no information on his screen. Went back to counter and rep said all required information was in the system. He gave me a paper copy and I was clear to leave the facility. When I got 2 miles down the road low tire light and engine oil change lights came on. I had to return to hertz and get another car.

Gold rental ready on arrival; out in 3 minutes! Easy return, out in less than 2 minutes. Very friendly rep on both arrival and return -what I expect from Hertz as a Gold member.

Great car, excellent service. The only issue was the car didn’t smell as though it was recently cleaned but it certainly appeared so. I assume there’s a corporate decision to not add any scents to cars but a clean neutral scent would have been great. But I’ll just remember to bring wipes going forward. Thanks!

I keep getting charged for a toll pass $250 for 1 toll?? Highway robbery (pun intended)

Easy check in and check out.
I got a nice little Kia Soul. One issue was that the back tire started loosing pressure in the second day of rental. I had to fill it up a few times. I mentioned it when I returned the car and she said the mechanic would look at it. So that was easy.

Customer service agent was calm and great despite being the only clerk and a long line.

I never have my gold reservation work at BDL. Always my name and a “See desk” but gold desk is closed and waited about 20 minutes

The car was ready, on time, with no complications picking it up. I was not, however, completely happy that the price -- from the time I made the reservation to the time I picked up the car -- kept changing without any clear explanation.

Service, however, was great.

Vehicle I rented not available. What I ended up with didn’t have navigation, very basic and uncomfortable. Glad we were only using it for the day. Counter person was very unhelpful as well.

No hassle , walk out to lot and picked me a car and headed to Middletown,Conneticut. Just as planned .

Nice car but it really stunk from an overdose of air freshener that never abated.

The car was somewhat dirty. The windshield on the drivers side was smudged and made it difficult to see with the sun shinning directly towards the driver. Stain on ceiling and passenger seat, with a glue on nail in the passenger seat. Seats weren't comfortable.

I filled up the car on the way to the airport drop off and they still charged me over $40for gas. Greed!!!

Hertz always provides quality cars and makes the whole experience from pickup to drop off seamless. This is how every company should function. It starts with their people and their attitude and their customer service, the rest falls into place quite nicely!

The entire car smelled like a dead skunk "aka: Really abd weed" and we had to buy 4 different air freshners to try and tolerate the smell. Additionally being a NEW VW SUV the rear camera when reversing kept stopping abruptly making the car stop and made it impossible and dangerous to reverse out of certain spots. Random at times then worse at times where car would not move almost hitting another car. Basically had to hold the revese button and try and look over my shoulder to not engage the auto braking. Not very safe. We let the service guy know. I googled what to do and none of it worked. The smell never left.Usally have decent rentals but lately the weed takes over most Hertz cars.
