DON'T TRUST THIS WOMAN. WE'VE BEEN TREATED VERY UNPROFESSIONALLY AND HAVING TO 'CHASE' AFTER MONEY OWED.
My husband paid for me to have some cake decorating classes as a birthday gift back in August of 2021. Emma cancelled all lessons and then rescheduled lessons, only to cancel again! Often at the last minute, a few hours before the arranged time. Poor health was the reason given to us and we were very understanding at first but have had no contact or had any updates on future dates or times for lessons since beginning of October.

We've tried contacting Emma through the website, Facebook and the business number, but have been ignored and rebuffed every time. I appreciate that poor health, particularly during these times, is stressful and cannot be helped. But nevertheless, we want our money refunded in full.

This has caused stress and concern on our part having to 'chase' after what is owed to us, as well as the disappointment of not receiving the cake decorating lessons promised.

Hi, I would like to bring to your attention the problem I have experienced with Heatons Cakes - Emma Caine. I ordered a birthday cake for my 2 year old son and paid in full 2 months prior to his birthday (£45). 2.5 hours before I was due to collect the cake Emma text me (on his birthday which was a Sunday) to advise she couldn’t complete the cake due to sickness, appreciate we all get sick but the short notice was unprofessional and unacceptable and on a Sunday when trading hours are shorter I was pushed to get a replacement cake in time for his party. Emma has said she will give me a full refund but despite chasing her on a number of occasions she has ignored me and given no reason why she is withholding the money. I have since seen she has done this before and had the case referred to trading standards, a route I do not want to go down but given I am a single Mum, cannot afford to loose this money and I used Emma as we should support independent local businesses. This lady has no integrity or morals, not only did she ruin a child’s birthday she is gaining money by deception and needs to be stopped!
