Hays Travel - St Albans Recensioni 

Cheerful, helpful staff on my several visits. A long time since I've used the services of an agency to make a holiday booking as I usually make my own arrangements All my requirements fulfilled so easily. Highly recommend their service.

Friendly, helpful and efficient service provided by both members of staff I dealt with. Always responded to emails I sent.

Kasia was so helpful - nothing was too much trouble despite all the challenges

St Albans branch - Sinead was great, very friendly and professional. She went out of her way in holding my flight details prior to confirming them and was happy to answer any queries I had. Whenever I phoned up with the odd question the person on the other end of the line was always very friendly and helpful. Thank you! :)

Brilliant attention to detail by Maria. She really listened to what we wanted and, although it took a few days to bring it together, got us exactly what we were looking for. The atmosphere in the travel agents was one of a happy team working together.

Very helpful and polite. Listened to what we wanted and made bookings for a family group from 2 different airports at same accommodation. Would definitely recommend.

When I entered the store one of the members of staff chose to share with her colleague we had spent some time with another colleague so she thought we were not booking and just time wasters. Her colleague who served us started off rather unhelpful and sent us off to find the exact cruise we wanted then return. We had to spend extra money on tea, coffee and snacks then came back to be rushed as it was their lunch break.

The service was friendly,efficient and unrushed inspiring confidence which I feel sure is well placed. Nice to have personal service on hand.

We booked a holiday to Rhodes which was cancelled last minute, both Maria and Helen at Hays St Albans went above and beyond to find us a replacement holiday they were so helpful and supportive at a stressful time. Thank you

It was a special holiday for our 50th wedding anniversary - we didn’t know where we wanted to go - we needed help!
Kasia at St Albans branch took time to listen to us - to acknowledge what we hoped for for this special holiday - and guided us in (hopefully) choosing a holiday of a lifetime late this September in Mauritius!
Certainly from the initial contact from Hays - and all the subsequent updates since then - we feel very confident in having chose Hays - thank you

SADLY
The holiday was not what we had asked or hoped for..
As we said - we went into the travel agent - did not have a destination in mind - didn’t mind where - but asked specifically for a holiday/hotel which had and was part of life - which was within walking distance to a lively town - and access to local transport - with a certain amount of independence to explore the area’s culture and heritage!
Mauritius and this specific hotel was recommended - and we were told it met with all our wishes!!
This was a really special (and expensive for us) holiday which sadly failed on so many levels….so so sad for us and so disappointing!
YES - we know the saying ‘buyer beware’ ……but having gone into a trusted travel agent - and having given them a clear idea of what we wanted and more importantly what we did NOT want - obviously this was not taken into consideration!
The hotel was 3 miles away from what we would (respectfully) describe as a ‘shanty town’ - no energy, no life, nothing - and the only mode of transport for us to this town - was a taxi service which you had to order from the hotel - at a return cost of £10 each time.
So - apart from paying for two (expensive) day excursions - we felt we were prisoners at the hotel - with nowhere to go - something we had SPECIFICALLY said we did not want!!
We could have been in any hotel in any country - definitely definitely something we stressed that WE DID NOT WANT!
This has left us feeling very let down - and we now know that we WILL NOT use a travel agency in the future ……
This was such a bad and disappointing experience!

As I explained to you yesterday - our recent holiday and area was great if you wanted a relaxing tranquil hotel/beautiful beach holiday!
Our disappointment and comments were directed specifically to the fact that when asking for advice/suggestions where to go - we said we definitely wanted ‘a lively holiday’ within walking distance to local life and lots of activity.
When speaking to Brenda our local Kuoni rep in Mauritius- she said she would be happy to move us to another hotel (if that was possible) but she didn’t think it would solve the problem as most hotels were in areas like ours.
