Golf Lessons
I have had three lessons with Greg, I am a high handicapper who plays about twice a month. He had a look at my swing and within one lesson had me confidently striking the ball. No nonsense approach and easy to follow teaching points has helped me improve my iron shots as the months have progressed.
Great service
I experienced great customer service when ordering golf equipment from Greg. I will use him again for future purchases and I highly recommend him.

First class experience purchasing ProQuip jacket and trousers. Greg could not have been more helpful, both in discussing product benefits and features and then providing a very competitive price. Fully recommend.
Extreme bad experience
Extreme bad experience, on the website it describes the clubs as ex-demo with pictures of new clubs, but the seller sent me very poor qualities clubs, no way they were ex-demo clubs. When I called them back, the guy kept repeating it was imported from the US, it's a special order, 30% fee with return, no exchange unless paying a lot more to buy new ones. Not sure what I can do in this case, any idea? Please do not trust the pictures on the website, I recommend everyone stay away from this store, horrible people trying to sell you overpriced clubs and they were prepared for not giving you any return nor refund, you can't win.

Please avoid the company. I wish I saw reviews first. Please trust the bad ones. Ordered a club for £375 on the site, 2 were showing as in stock. After a few days of not getting any form indication it was being sent I emailed to ask for an update. I was then phoned by what others have advised is a very manipulative sales man using various techniques to get you to believe his patter. I was told that because these are like “hens teeth” he has to order them from America (not made clear on website which shows as in stock… even still), i was also given further payment options unless I wanted a grade C club (again none of this was on the website, they only list a single price). So if i wanted a grade B it would be another £100, if i wanted a grade A even more again, if i wanted the head cover it would be another £10 and then to top it off I would have to wait 4-6 weeks for it. Initially I considered a grabe B, but didn’t pay the extra for it at that time as had to move round some funds with bank. After I had time to think about it I contacted them to say I had decided not to choose the grade b and would like a refund. At this point I was then told they had already ordered it and I would have to pay for it when it arrives. I advised I would not be paying for it and wanted the refund for which they advised they would give me one. After another week waiting for the refund I contacted them asking how much longer it would take I was told they would process it by the end of the week, this would make it 10 days after they said they would + the time for that to then get to the bank. Eventually by the Thursday of the following week I got my refund

Recently purchased a new top of the range electric golf trolley from Greg. Very pleased with the purchase and backup support from order to delivery . Greg also added some accessories due to the order value which was a very kind gesture. Will definitely be using his services again .

Wanted to buy a Taylormade mini-driver. Turns out these are a limited addition and very hard to get now but Greg is one of the UK few suppliers that can source them.

Very positive experience
I am new to golf and although enthusiastic I have limited knowledge and understanding. I recently visited Greg Nicholson Golf where I spent sometime talking through my abilities (or lack of) with Greg. I found Greg to be helpful and clearly knowledgeable. I went on to purchase clubs and a lesson. The experience has been a positive one from start to finish.
I bought a M4 driver
I bought a M4 driver, 3wood, and a hybrid from Greg, who took all of my specifications, height, hand size, righty/lefty etc. All delivered in crisp condition, and fast as well. Extremely happy with my products. Would recommend highly to all.
Expensive pack of tees ! ....
Went into the shop to buy a pack of tees, £4.99 he said, he took my card to the machine ( which was over by the till) and handed me my card and pack of tees. No receipt. Looked at my bank account today and £5.50 had been taken out. That's the first and last time I go into the shop and I won't be recommending them to anyone at the 3 large clubs I'm a member of.

First thing he noticed was my swing , the only thing near correct was my grip
To which Greg explained and adjusted my posture, feet positionclub distance from my body ,and technique to ensure I never loose this
All I can say is after my first lesson I felt and looked a lot more confident in my golf swing , thanks to Greg’s straightforward way of explaining

I was looking for a specific used 3 wood and was struggling to find one of the right quality on line. I was also concerned about buying one that I was unhappy with and having to go through the hassle of returning it.
I dropped in at Greg's retail unit and he was able to source the club I wanted.
I paid the top end of the price range for the club but it is in very good condition and I couldn't be more pleased with it.

Three months ago I was fitted and purchased a new set if irons for a well known golf stockists. The cost me £945, a considerable investment, but with the hopes to improve my game.
From day one I struggle with them, and for weeks I put it down to just needing more time to get use to them. This deterioration I my iron play just got worse, and loosing distance, I'll he honest, it was starting to get me down,
So as you do, I asked some of my low handicap friends for help. And when they saw my irons. They were gobsmacked, I'd been fitted and sold a set of Cobra blades, I'm a 24 handicapper,
I just haven't got the skill and talent to use blades.
Because of the amount of money I'd spent I persevered in trying to use the blades, but things just got worse,
I know I should have gone back to the people who sold them to me. But I just would have no confidence in them. I felt used and ripped off,
So I had hurd about Greg Nicholson golf and leisure,
I took my irons to Greg and explained my story, he just couldn't believe a reputable company would sell anyone with a 24 handicap a set of blades.
Within minutes of talking to Greg he went through in detail what I should be looking for, and what I should expect, Greg was very approachable, and he could see how I'd been on a emotional rollercoster ride of having to deal with my iron play, I know its only a game, but it's like anything, you want to do the best you can. And it you've had bad advice and fitted with the wrong tools. You'll never do well!!
Anyway Greg took my irons in partex and kitted me out with a set of Ping cavity back clubs. And I left feeling much better about myself and what to expect from my new irons. This was on Tuesday the 10th of October, and unfortunately because of work and weather, I couldn't get chance to use my new clubs until Sunday the 15th of October, where I was entered in to a club comp.
My iron play was amazing, absolutely totally different, it was exactly as Greg said it would be.
Infact I won the competition!!
So Greg thank you very much for all your help and support, you truly are a master at your craft, and from now on I wouldn't be going anywhere else for my golf clubs and equipment, and I'll recommend you to all of my friends,
Once again, thank you so much for your help, and giving me back my self esteem and confidence in golf.

Clubs and lessons - both deliver!
After purchasing fitted clubs, which were set up by Greg and delivered on time, I have been following up with lessons throughout this year to make the most of the new investment. Greg is clearly knowledgeable on the intricacies of why a swing isn't right. The small adjustments along the way have really improved my game.
To be (in stock), or not to be...that is the question!
The best way I can sum up my review is to copy and paste the e-mail I sent after speaking to Greg, as my e-mail was returned undeliverable for some reason. This was after ordering (and paying) online for a Stewart Golf bag. When I ordered it on 24/9/23, out of normal business hours, it clearly stated that it was IN STOCK and was due 3-4 business days. Having not received it or heard anything, I telephoned today, and then e-mailed Greg......

I felt compelled to e-mail you following the extremely frustrating conversation that I have just had with you on the telephone.
Whilst I fully appreciated the explanation you gave regarding the bag being out of stock, the fact remains that when I ordered the bag, it clearly stated that it was ‘in stock’ in green letters and would be delivered in 3-4 business days. Those are the irrefutable facts, are they not?
I am a very level headed reasonable guy however, I became increasingly frustrated at your insistence on talking over me which, despite your perfectly polite manner, was extremely rude!
Just because I paid a lot of money for the Stewart trolley, does not mean that I want to pay £280 for an alternative golf bag - waterproof or not. It is my prerogative, and none of your business incidentally, whether or not I want that kind of bag. To make a comment like, why would you want an expensive Stewart trolley with a sh1tty golf bag on it, is not really helpful and is quite offensive…in it’s language if nothing else!
It has taken me to call you to find out where the bag is, so regardless of what you say about being in touch with Stewart this week, you ought to have known last week (ie when the bag was due to come to me) that you cold not fulfil the order….but still nobody contacted me!
Telling me that I should’ve called you and you would’ve told me it was out of stock is ridiculous and a bit of a moot point. That is partly what online sales are for - ie not normal business hours for convenience - and anyway, why would I call you when, as far as I was concerned, the item was in stock. I’m not entirely sure how long I would’ve had to have waited before finding out when the bag was available whilst, in the meantime, you have the money for something I have no idea when I may receive it.
Anyway, now I have got that off my chest, I would appreciate a speedy refund and put this interaction down to a bad experience. You may not be surprised (or even bothered) to hear that I won’t be ordering anything from you in the future.
