My book finally arrived today. It should have arrived on or before June 29th. This doesn't bother me too much as it was not urgent. The book arrived very well packaged in Greenerbooks own plastic wrapping and was very professional looking. The book is indeed as described in very good condition.

Now, if things had just been that then there would be no issue, and I would probably order from you again.

However, there was ZERO communication from Greenerbooks despite me sending a delivery update request via Abebooks, another request from their own website, and even applying for a refund.

If you don't talk to your customers and send the books out on time then you are going to get a mass of very bad reviews...and guess what? that is what you are getting. I even thought you were a scam company, but at least you have disproved this.

It is such a shame. You offered the best price, and offered a very good condition book. But you did not give me a Royal Mail tracking number or reply to any queries. You could be a good/very good business, but I had to agree with most of the other reviews on here, at least until today. I hope that many of these reviewers did, like me, receive their books in the end, or you refunded them. I have now removed my 1 star review I had left previously.

Scam artists. Terrible conduct. Liars. Book foul quality and advertised as excellent. Tried to duck the Amazon return and refund process, had to force it through a claim.

The sooner you go out of business, the better.

Simply put.Buyer beware. This is the number one on my list of companies to NOT do business with. This company sadly is a spin off (marketplace seller) from the Scaming master in partnership with ADEBOOKS.co.uk , Amazon (also see my review for that explanation for Adebooks). Even the fact you obtain assurances and email's promising refunds with lines of how this is such a good company. This is a delay tactic to keep your well earn money, because you will never see the return hit your bank account. They are never going to be bothered to change what is clearly just a scam setup to steel. How companies like this can exist in this once great Country is beyond me.

Ordered book 4th March 2024 still not arrived and it's 24th April 2024.
Ordered through Abebooks (wish i'd read their reviews before purchasing) both businesses/companies are a complete sham.
If you actually want to receive a book you pay for go elsewhere.
DO NOT USE ABEBOOKS AND DO NOT USE GREENER BOOKS EITHER.
I will be reporting both of them to trading standards.

No confirmation email after order on 4th of April submitted via the Greener Books website.

None of the 3 books ordered were received.

On messaging they claimed an order confirmation email had been sent (none received even in my junk mail).

They also stated that the parcel could not be located on their end and that it should have been received by now.

The actual replies when contacting customer services were prompt and the refund was too so 2 stars rather than 1.

I have concerns though that the company is linked to BritBooks (the refund came via them) which concerns me as I had similar issues with BritBooks. A search online seems to suggest the owners are similar between these two companies as well.

Overall I wouldn't buy from their website if you want to receive a book.

If I could give zero stars I would.. the book the shining was sent to me it was such a bad state it went straight in the bin

First time of using Greener Books and it will be the last, Ordered my book on 21 December 2023 and I am still waiting for it to arrive and its now 13th January 2024. I am very angry. Suggest anyone ordering books should avoid this Company.

Very disappointed, was stated that book is used however I was not happy with the condition and have not received refund even after returning book and showing confirmation that they have received my return

I almost cancelled my order via Biblio given all the negative reviews for both Biblio and Greener Books, but I've had an excellent experience with both.

After reading on the Greener Books page on AbeBooks that sometimes heavier books require extra payment for postage, I got worried and emailed both Biblio and Greener Books querying this. They advised me that my book had been shipped with no extra payment needed.

Communication was great throughout and I felt confident in my purchase. When I received my book, I was delighted to find it in very good condition. It was described as "good" which concerned me, but again both sites put my worry to rest.

I would highly recommend them based from my experience.

BEWARE
Avoid this company! The book I received was in very poor condition, not at all as described. When I wrote to them asking to exchange for a better copy they wrote back saying they had refunded my order. However I never received a refund. When I contacted them, always the same reply « order refunded » but not a penny had been refunded in my bank account. I wonder if they say that hoping people don’t actually check their accounts. That way they have sent a book in bad condition and then pretended to refund when they actually haven’t. Really unhappy with the experience!

I inadvertently missed half my address off when placing my order 🙄 I emailed Greener books and they immediately confirmed they had had added the missing address details. My book arrived, in perfect condition, and very quickly with the correct address hand written with the amendments on the envelope.

Book was described as “used”, some wear and tear was expected. This book was scribbled in, sentences underlined and in general shocking condition. It was all done with a pen, so not even the option to erase someone else’s thoughts about the book. UNREADABLE, how dare they even ask for money. Had they mentioned its condition I would have had a choice. If only there was a minus star option; avoid these people at all cost!

I ordered a book which has got lost in the post with no tracking information. There’s nothing I can do to chase the order. Greener books are refusing to replace or refund (it’s now been 10 days)

I ordered a series of books but received only one of the series. I ended up buying the series from another seller. Feeling pretty ripped off.
Contacted customer support and they just told me to go to ebay.

This company has excellent customer service. I ordered a book which had stains inside it even though it was described as being in good condition. I let them know and sent photos, and they immediately refunded me in full. There was no hassle. They normally send books in the condition they describe, but this on somehow was missed, but they immediatly rectified it. Thank you Greener Books!

I live in California, USA. I ordered an artbook on 9/14 and I had it in hand in 6 days. It came from England, 5200+ miles away. I'm so impressed! Thank you, Greener Books, your speed and quality of merchandise is phenomenal!

I ordered two books - one arrived within a couple of days the other didn't arrive at all. There was some difficulty establishing contact with the company, but once I was in communication with Tina, the problem was quickly resolved (and another copy sent). Both books were in very good condition and exactly what I wanted.

Hello. Unfortunately I have to let you know how disappointed with the condition of the book as I was so looking forward to reading it. Waited patiently as also so late from the original delivery date from you😞The book’s in a poor grubby condition & I can’t enjoy reading it. I understand it’s 2nd hand & never had such a poor service.

AWFUL customer service. they WILL completely ignore your emails, and if they do get back to you they don’t say much

sent a £14 book with a 50p sticker from the charity shop on the back

i ordered through AbeBooks and wish there was an option to review them there too

Excellent customer service. My book was delayed being delivered - but this was due to Post Office strikes, not the fault of this company. Immediate, professional responses. Book in excellent condition. I'm really surprised at some of the reviews, as I consider this some of the best customer service I've had in a long time - it's getting rarer than hens' teeth! Would happily use & recommend Greener Books.
