One Lady called Lina spent a significant time with me to choose the right sort of shoes for a long trek. I was very impressed with her patience and also advice. Prices much the same as other places but her time was very valuable.

Very good helpful service from Kelly, who explained and sorted out members discount card for me, also advising on further savings I could make with a multi- buy. Also very useful in explaining how I could get to try out premium jacket that was not in the store, by ordering online, and returning to that store if it proved not suitable. Friendly quality support all round. I’ll be back.

We had a nightmare with the online ordering and delivery of items, which was stressful.
However, certain staff members helped us enormously!
We were in the store on Saturday 15.3 for over 2.5 hours sorting it all out- in store, Lina; Jess; Kelly and Sue were superb! They were so helpful in sorting out a dreadful mess!
Sue, on the phone, earlier in the week was also incredibly helpful.

Was very happy with the service, we brought fishing rods that were on clearance at the lakeside store and Martin W was very helpful and knowledgeable as well as other members of staff, will be going back especially since the customer service was excellent and the prices as members were a really good deal.

Bought a bike today great price and charlton, who served me was very friendly and knowledgeable about bike highly recommend visiting the thurrock store for all bikes and servicing on bikes

Firstly I shop in store all the time and have nothing but positive things to say about my in store experience. My 1 star is purely based on my online experience. I purchased and fishing rod and paid for next day delivery and had to wait 2 days for delivery. When it arrived the box was damaged and sure enough the rod was broken. I rang go outdoors and they told me I have to return it in store which I did and I was refunded minus the postage which I wasn't happy about. I then ordered another rod for next day delivery and that actually turned up the next day but again the box was damaged and again the rod was broken. I randomly go outdoors and told them I was not going back to the store for a refund and wasting my petrol. They agreed to refund and then told me they were out of stock of the rod I wanted. I think alot of this was down to the courier company they use (evri) but also the packaging was terrible. Twice I've had to wait 3 to 5 days for a refund to go back into my account

I went to the Thurrock store to buy a pair of decent walking boots. I have really "fussy" feet that are narrow with some mild arthritis in areas, so getting comfortable footwear can be challenging. The store assistant was amazing. I must have tried 10 pairs of boots before settling on the ones I bought. She was on her own and looked after me plus several other customers at the same time, without getting flustered. I wish I'd got her name as she is an asset to the store.

I visited the Thurrock Lakeside store with the intention of purchasing 2 fleeces and 2 pairs of walking trousers, however due to the lack of available sizes, I ended up shopping at Sports Direct who had the sizes I required.
This seems to be an ongoing issue every time I visit Go Outdoors at Thurrock lakeside.

Good selection of footwear available in the majority of sizes.

Had a good spend up today which was accompanied by lots of questions about items being purchased and membership cards etc.

Our point of contact today was a woman called Jazmine who was manning the tills.
All questions were answered politely without issues.

I came in with my dad to purchase gear for our Vanguard Way hike. My dad isn't a regular camper/hiker so our basket was pretty full. Kelly and her colleagues were extremely helpful throughout the shopping experience, providing expert support and advice on our purchases from the aisle to the till. All members of staff we interacted with were personable and very helpful. Using the members discount we ended up saving more than we spent - thank you Go Outdoors Thurrock!

Nice clean tidy store plenty of items and cross range. Kelly at till spent time sorting out my membership, did not realise not a “one” account tife to name but to card so thanks

We received excellent service the staff were super helpful and extremely kind

I came in as an beginner hiker who was preparing for a climb to Everest base camp (i have done mountains in uk before snowdon etc so not entirely a novice)
The staff were so helpful particularly Tina who gave some great advice on hiking boots. I had a corn on my toe which causes great discomfort when walking in normal shoes so I wanted to make sure I get hiking shoes which would help provide the right support. There was another shop staff (unfortunately I didn't get her name but she was from Bulgaria) who assisted me in trying out various shoes. They were so patient and helpful.

I even got a price match from Tina and Jasmine (at the till).
I left a very happy customer and will be back for more products as I prepare for my trip.

Kelly from GO at Lakeside was a great help at check out and offered the discount to available to new joiners. Thank you Kelly
