Visited today with my Husband, I was after a new pair of walking boots, served by Steve, very knowledgeable and professional, asset to Go Outdoors my Husband even bough another pair of walking shoes.

Really helpful member of staff, with plenty of knowledge to help me decide on a pair of walking boots.

Bought everything my daughter needed for her Duke of Edinburgh expedition. Staff were all very friendly. Steve and Freddy were very helpful on walking boots.

Went to buy some walking boots. Steve was really helpful, helping me with different brands and styles while it was busy and helping other customers too.

Steve was very good with helping me with running shoes, despite being quite busy on a Sunday it didn’t feel like anything was too much trouble for him. He’s friendly and knowledgeable of footwear available in store.

Very helpful assistant, Phil. Friendly and polite. Helped to find the best fit of walking boots for my grandson, not the most expensive. A contrast to the assistant we dealt with in a similar shop nearby. (Begins with R)

We went to Go Outdoors as we needed some walking boots for our teenage son. We were served by Steve who gave us some helpful and knowledgeable advice, which was much appreciated.

Quick delivery. Quality items. Changed my mind on one of them and the return process in store was easy with no fuss.

We visited the Fox Valley store and as usual it was an enjoyable experience.
My only concern was that there appeared to be a lot more staff downstairs than upstairs and Tom was on his own upstairs with quite a few customers.He was doing a great job but it was a big ask

I was looking for a pair of lightweight, waterproof walking boots and was served by Tom who was very helpful and with great patience found me a pair that I really like. I am very pleased with my purchase. The young lady at the till was also very friendly and helpful. A good experience.

I went to this store with my wife today to buy her some new walking boots and some trail running shoes. There wasn't one single member of staff on the whole of the 1st floor. We had to go back down stairs to ask someone to come up. They said they were short staffed. There were 2 people on the tills, 2 members of staff having a chat (one leaning on a clothing rail) one member of staff on the shop floor and then two more appeared and one came upstairs. There were more members of staff than customers in the store. Once we'd been served with shoe fittings we browsed a little longer. The two female members of staff were still. Chatting downstairs and the two male members of staff upstairs were standing together in the sleeping bag aisle having a chat up there. This is always a quiet store. Never busy with customers. I'm not sure how they can say they were short staffed when there were 7 of them in there with 4 doing nothing.

We came in to get walking boots for my teenage daughter. Her feet have stopped growing and we were prepared to spend a bit more than just “entry level” . Steve was really helpful and knowledgeable and brought out several different pairs of boots for her to try, with an understanding of how each style fitted. Steve went above and beyond what we’d expect to make sure my daughter got the right boots for her. He was polite and friendly and he is a credit to the Stockbridge store.

Popped in to purchase hiking boots for both myself and my wife. There was a great choice and Phil on sales was brilliant, leaving us to choose then helping make the the decision, advising on the different aspects of various brands etc All in all a very pleasant shopping experience.

Been in fox valley store today in Sheffield and spent £90 on waterproofs for us as we got caught in the rain on our bikes my 10 year old tried his on outside and they didn’t fit and they didn’t have the next size so asked if I could return, the woman who was arguing with another customer about a return then served me, she looked at the trousers and saw a bit of mud off his trousers, she then spoke to me very unprofessional in front of other customers and said she wasn’t returning them, didn’t even offer to return the jacket, the way she spoke to me in front of my 10 year old was horrible and I even had 2 customers come out and say she shouldn’t be working in a customer faced job.
She didn’t give me the option to even wash them at home and return so I just left them on the cash desk and left the store . I then got him some from regatta in fox valley who couldn’t believe what they had done and also gave me a further discount because of the money I had lost in go outdoors. I won’t be renewing my membership and also the 2 other customers that came outside there said they won’t be and I am always spending money in that store every week.
