Very helpful, knowledgeable and patient assistant, Paul F. He took time to explain things and I ended up buying a pair of Brasher walking boots.

I was looking for a pair of shoes to supplement my trusty Merrells and Paul F was extremely helpful. With his assistance and his knowledge of the different options he patiently worked through the options to find the best shoes for me.

David has great knowledge on tents and all things camping he even got us a trolly when we got to much stuff

Paul F was very knowlegeable about items in store and helpfull talking me through each product i was interested in. I use the store regularly and welcome the store refurbishment last year, as it looks nicer and cleaner

Excellent service in store and online. After buying a pair of walking shoes in store, I decided they were too small and returned them and got a refund. I then ordered the next size up online and they were delivered very quickly and fit perfectly. Customer service also dealt with a problem with my membership quickly and efficiently.

Funlly enough at Go Outdoors I can find everything I need and with the member card at the great prices.

I bought a pair of Teva walking sandals from Go Outdoors, Southampton today.
This was after trying on four or five other makes first.
I was really impressed by PAULINE who made numerous trips to and from the storeroom. She was friendly and helpful throughout even though she is currently waiting for a knee operation.
The best service I have had anywhere, in a very long time!

Well I don’t know if it’s there or not cause I haven’t had the ‘come and pick it up’ email. If it’s not there it took too long and now I have moved to the other side of the country and can’t pick it up. I have already payed so don’t know what to do from here, I’m busy and this sort of stuff drags me

Wanted to look at tents which a single female with two kids could put up. Tent area was closed due to the weather but Paul F was very helpful in explaining about which tent would be best to go for, and guess what it wasn’t the expensive one, how to put it up and which way to face it, and a must for a ground sheet. Couldn’t have explained thing better. Thank you.

We have just enjoyed an incredibly succinct and knowledgable insight about backpacks from the fabulously enthusiastic Paul F, definitely search him out if going to Go Outdoors Southampton. A lovely man with old school charm and proper knowledge.

David at Southampton Go Outdoors has been fantastic. He helped us to get everything for our son's camping trip. He gave clear useful suggestions and explained well. It made our shopping experience delightful and quicker.

Popped in today with absolutely no idea how to camp as a single mum. Met Paul F by bombarding him with many questions which he happily answered. He was so informative and added extra ideas, made me feel very at ease that I could achieve this and now I'm super excited to start my camping journey. Thanks Paul.

I wanted to leave a review for Paul F. following a recent visit to Go Outdoors.

I had spotted a Gerber folding knife on display that I was interested in purchasing. Although the knife was on display, there was no box nearby to indicate whether it was in stock. I approached a member of staff and asked if it would be possible to purchase the display model. Unfortunately, the response was very dismissive. I was simply told "no" and the staff member walked away without offering any help or alternatives.

Not wanting to give up, I decided to ask someone else. While looking around the store, I noticed Paul F. helping a group of customers choose a sleeping bag. He was clearly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely interested in helping them find the right product. Based on that interaction alone, I felt he was the right person to ask.

After waiting for him to finish assisting the customers, I approached Paul with exactly the same question. Initially, the answer was still no, but unlike the previous staff member, Paul didn't stop there. He immediately offered to check out the back for any available stock. A few minutes later, he returned having found three of the knives I was looking for!

I ended up purchasing two of them, and what could have been a disappointing visit turned into a great customer experience. We also had a really enjoyable conversation about multitools and outdoor gear, and it was clear that Paul genuinely knew his products and enjoyed helping customers.

Paul's willingness to go the extra mile, take ownership of the situation, and provide excellent service made all the difference. He transformed what had started as a frustrating experience into a very positive one. Staff like Paul are a real asset to Go Outdoors and deserve recognition for the effort they put into helping customers.

Thank you, Paul, for your outstanding customer service. It was greatly appreciated, and I'll certainly remember the experience on future visits.

Paul F was really personable and knowledgable. We were looking for travel rucksacks and he was engaging when we discussed our needs. He was funny and made us feel really comfortable and confident for our travels. He addressed all concerns and good at comparing the products available to our needs. As well as this he also checked in on us after he had helped us to see if we needed anything further! 10/10 would recommend being served by Paul F!

Today had a great experience in the Southampton Millbrook store.
Plenty of different stocked items and sizes to choose from.
Made even better by staff member Shannon who was helpful,polite and patient throughout with my purchase.

No confirmation that my click and collect was ready to pick up so went to the store on the chance it was there and luckily it was there

Paul helped us on Saturday, he was very knowledgeable friendly and informative and help us decide which sleeping bag to purchase as we unsure which one we needed. Very happy with the customer service and with the sleeping bag we purchased.

We love go outdoors, we've saved so much money using special offers and always walk away feeling like we have done well for our money, been going there a few years now, never a bad experience! would recommend anybody getting there camping stuff from there, just wait for the deals, and you cant go wrong!

Website is good and easy to use. The only gripes are that Go Outdoors doesn't have an App and therefore a way of adding you membership card to your Apple Wallet. Also it would be good to have an easy way to see when your membership runs out on an app for iOS. Staff were great and friendly when I picked up my item at the Millbrook store.
