Stuart was very helpful and gave excellent service

I've never had to repair a snapped shockcord before and he explained about the alternate ways of doing this, and I ended up buying a new one to feed through the poles

I will be happy to use the battlefield store again as it's really easy to find your way around, well laid out and plenty of people to help (particularly Stuart 👍)

My experience today with a friend was with was so good staff were friendly and helpful the person help me was John who normally on foot wear he couldn’t do enough to help very friendly and very helpful

I was served by Jude. Firstly he took the time to explain to me how to use my new walking poles and how to check that the height is correct on them, then he gave me detailed information on how to choose the correct rucksack for my next hike. He was also not pushing the most expensive one at me but just gave me the various pricing options. I found his advice excellent and non-pushy.

Saved this review until I’d had chance to test my boots out properly.

John, absolute star. Listened to the routes I did, and was able to spend time recommend several pairs of boot that would be suitable, including the ups and downs of each set he brought me. I ended up buying a pair of Scarpa Rush Trk GTX, and they are ideal. Upgraded from Lowa Renegades, which in their own right are a premium boot, but what John recommended are absolutely perfect for what I do. Whilst doing a grade one exposed scramble in Eryri today I missplaced my foot and transferred my weight to it on wet slate at a downward angle with a 400ft drop downwards. Did I slip? Nope. Anchored and rock solid. Perfect boots, perfect recommendation. Cheers John!

Maya and the team always give excellent customer service. Knowledgeable team who are super friendly, never the hard sell. This Go Outdoors remains my go to as I can always count on friendly service. I pretty much do all my outdoor gear shopping here now.

Disappointed to be told membership had expired but on presentation of card from car was told still valid. Weak excuse given for error. Happens every time I shop there!

We went to the store looking for walking boots. We were assisted by John. John was very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. John recommended walking boots based on our intended environment travels, talking us through the different options. Even managed to find a match for my wife feet.

Went to the store to buy a bike; was told that the bike specialist was not in that day (Thursday) and that I would have to come back on Saturday. They couldn't even tell me if the bike I was looking at came in a medium size. There was a label on the bike saying small.

The staff were amazing helping me to locate the tent footpints appropriate for my tents and the friendly enthusiastic staff at the till made the experience most enjoyable.

It is no underestimation to say that Simon gave the best customer service experience in over 40 years of shopping. He assisted, educated and entertained both myself and my young aspiring fisherman friend, Lukas. I cannot speak more highly of this man's professionalism and customer care. Truly an inspiring man.
