The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. Tom in particular was very knowledgeable, patient and helpful with our daughter when she was choosing and trying hiking boots. He didn't rush us at all, despite us being there right up until (and shortly after) closing time (Google still says it closes at 8 so I had no idea!). He also made sure we got our member discount and told us of various other discounts available. The rest of the staff: Polly, Jack and James, were very patient with us even though the shop had technically closed when we were paying for our things. A first-class service with very reasonable prices!

I came in with my husband to buy a pair of walking boots each. We were served by Linzi and Emilia and they were fantastic! They were really friendly and helpful, gave us great recommendations and helped us to get the perfect boots each. Thank you so much!

I purchased a Camping Gas 907 cylinder at £89 as it was a first purchase. As it transpired this was the wrong type for my KitchenBox stove. 2 days after purchasing and not having been used (seal intact) I rang the store to check they had the right cylinders and said I was returning the 907, I was told this was not possible due to Health and Safety (however they will supply a refill) !. I challenged this and was told that it was the managers discretion and to call Customer Services which I did. After waiting for 15 mins whilst the agent spoke to the manager it was stated that this would have been explained at point of sale which it was not. The online returns information on retrospectively checking is contradictory. I was told nothing could be done and I would have to raise a complaint which I did this was 6/10/26 I was told I would be contacted in 48hrs with a resolution, that was 9 days ago and I am still waiting to be contacted despite chasing several times. I have been a loyal member for many years and the Launceston store staff are great (normally). Unfortunately this has soured my opinion of the company.

We went in to each buy walking boots. Mandy was very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and patient, whilst we both tried on various sizes and styles until we found the right pair each. She made our visit a real pleasure as we normally just order everything online for convenience. The lady on the till (didn’t catch her name) was also very friendly and helpful and double checked we had the correct sizes. We will definitely return to this store.

Trying to buy walking shoes for my son who both has very wide feet and sensory issues. Not an easy task, but the shop assistant who helped was so patient and understanding. She went out of her way to try to problem solve for us and was sensitive to my son's needs, which she picked up on herself, without me even needing to explain. I'm so sorry that I don't know her name! Thank you.

Staff were very friendly and cooperative. Knowledge of products and advice was extremely helpful. I would definately buy from store again.

She gave me time to try several on, listening to her advice, trialling around store
Freya also advised on relevant after care product, again with no pressure

Jack and Emilia couldn’t have been more helpful when we visited today. My husband and I were both trying on walking boots, it took me quite a while to find a pair that fit me perfectly - Jack might have emptied the store room! And Emilia was fantastic keeping our toddler occupied. Great selection of stock and a welcoming atmosphere - I wish we lived nearer to make this our regular outdoor shop!
