GO Outdoors - Inverness Recensioni 

I have been given a £50 gift voucher for gooutdoors. However, you cannot use gift vouchers online - inconvenient. So, I visited the Inverness store to purchase a particular product - a certain fishing reel - and was told they had no stock and were unlikely to get any. They do not allow you to order in store and collect at a later date. But they said there was one in Clydebank and then they shrugged their shoulders and wiped their hands of any further help. So, I contacted customer services online and they confirmed all of the above and said I should call the Clydebank store before travelling to collect the item. THEY DON'T SEEM TO TAKE ON BOARD THAT FOR ME TO TRAVEL TO CLYDEBANK IS A 500 MILE ROUND TRIP AND SOME 12 HOURS TRAVEL - FOR A £59 FISHING REEL. Absolutely pathetic and uncaring. Your systems and procedures are awful.

Service was splendid. Acquired a partial refund seamlessly when signing up for a Go Outdoors card after purchase. Kasia and Catrina were very good.

No care for the items at all, I was given a fleece without bag or protective packaging, it’s like a borrowing from a friend

Took my Daughter in to the shop this evening to get some new walking boots for her hill walk at the weekend. Found a nice fitting pair that were wide enough for complete comfort. Also managed for the first time ever to get a pair of trousers to fit her that were designed for hillwalking and climbing. The person that served us at the till, Edward was amazing, very welcoming and polite. He gave brilliant customer service and even managed to find my discount card on the system using my name and postcode. Gave great advice if we needed to return any of the items too. All in all the most successful trip to Go outdoors yet.

Went in to try on some shoes, staff were helpful but not pushy and Connor went above and beyond taking the time to listen and help recommend the right shoes for us! He was very friendly and knowledgeable aswell!

Very helpful, polite & pleasant staff, both till staff & shop floor staff. Overall a good experience & easy to purchase what we were looking for.

From the moment I asked for help, Ed, the manager, came to my assistance and was very helpful in helping me to find the right walking shoes. I tried on quite a few different brands, and Ed was patient and knowledgeable throughout, helping me decide which pair suited me best.
He then helped me choose a waterproof jacket, and I eventually decided on a Berghaus GORE-TEX jacket.
GO Outdoors is a great store, with a good selection of well-known and trusted outdoor brands, and the staff are always happy to help, polite and patient. Ed, in particular, was exceptional today. He was very busy and was called several times by colleagues who needed his help and knowledge about products, but not once did he pass me on to another member of staff. He stayed with me throughout and made sure I was completely happy with my purchases before I left.

Kasia was friendly and extremely helpful by taking me to the product I intended to buy.

We got a trolley full of basic camping gear. The staff were helpful in guiding our choices from an extensive range of products.

Very disappointed with my recent visit to Go Outdoors, Inverness.
I was returning a jacket I had bought the previous week and hoping to choose an alternative.
I requested a price match on the alternative jacket which was £35 cheaper on Amazon. The assistant called the supervisor who said I would have to wait for the manager who was "On his way back". 10 minutes passed and no sign of the manager, so I asked the assistant to refund the jacket and I would buy a new one elsewhere as I wasn't prepared to wait indefinitely for the manager.
Shortly after, the manager arrived, no apology for keeping me waiting or even any form of greeting, just uttered the words "What's wrong with it?",he then processed the refund. He was pretty abrupt with the assistant and over the radio to his other staff.
Having spent thousands over the years at Go Outdoors, if this is the best they can do I will take my business elsewhere.
It's a shame because I've previously always found the staff to be helpful and pleasant.

Our tent had broken and the member of staff was really helpful and he had lots of knowledge about which was the best tent to buy.

What an amazing place. Fantastic staff. Never been in before until this Saturday and WOW i was blown away.

I like this branch as staff do not bother you but when you need assistance they are always happy to help.
