Very friendly staff and plenty of staff available to talk to. Shop was very organised and tidy and I managed to get everything I went for.

Richard helped me select some new walking boots and he was patient, helpful and absolutely no pressure - allowed me to try them on and gave advice and tips re the fit and there was no drive to make me purchase something more expensive he was more interested in me selecting the right boot for my needs. Really appreciated his time and came away with fabulous pair of new walking boots for our next adventures! Thanks Richard.

Was able to answer all my questions regarding my purchase which was Berghaus walking shoes. Very happy overall.

I visited the store and was served by athena who i can honestly say was amazing. She joined in with banter while I was been served and it is so nice to see a human who does talk rather than almost a robot. 2 many shops have grumpy people serving but this is different, she is a total credit to you and the Chesterfield store.

Bought some Meindl walking boots at Go Outdoors whilst away in Keswick the other week. Discovered they were really too narrow when I got back home and tried them on at home for an evening. Whilst browsing in the Go Outdoors near Bramall Lane in Sheffield on Saturday I discovered there is a wide-fit Meindl boot called 'Meran'. Tried some on at the Chesterfield store today and they were ideal for my wide feet. Susie was most helpful in sorting out the exchange.

I purchased a Berghaus waterproof jacket a few days ago from the Chesterfield Go Outdoors. Jodey was extremely helpful in explaining the term Gortex and the overall quality of such jackets. She pointed out a variety of choices and provided outstanding service. David also offered outstanding service at the check out. He explained the Go Outdoors Members discount to us and renewed our membership. Thank you to both Jodey and David.

The staff were extremely helpful in helping me with the purchase of 10 rucksacks, 10 sleeping bags plus many other items to help homeless people after an appeal made by Pathways, the homeless charity. As a member, I was able to get a reduction of 20% across the board which helped a lot and the staff tried to get a further reduction for the charity but it seems I would have to contact the company prior to purchasing.

The Chesterfield store is just a really friendly store. Molly who served us at the till was professional and polite.

The young man who helped us find sealskin socks was very polite and helpful. Explained how they worm and how to wear them. We went away knowing we had the correct thing .the young man on the checkout was also very helpful, and answered my questions re the members card
