Good service from friendly staff when I went in to buy a new pair of boots.

Chris T shop assistant really knowledgeable about the products and very friendly and helpful not pushy so felt confident in his advice. Helped suit me out in Berghuas gore-tex hiking jacket and trousers and fleece … thanks Chris 🙌

Chris T was really helpful and knowledgeable. He was able to answer lots of DofE questions we had about rucksacks and tents etc. It’s a small store, but really well organised and very tidy. Staff are always helpful. Thank you

The sales assistant was extremely helpful. He asked me if I had a store card membership and I said No. But when he worked out the cost of the card with the saving with a card, I saved £21 so a no brainer! I got a store card at £5 and bought my coat for £14. So impressed, that we went back later that afternoon and I bought a 2nd coat! Thank you to the very helpful male staff member at Altrincham branch. 😀

I had to visit the store a number of times as the product I wanted was difficult to track down.Jade was extremely helpful and pleasant on each occasion and helped me to finally get the gift I wanted. She clearly knows the stock well and I would definitely shop there again above any other similar shops. Thank you!

I visited the Altrincham store to purchase a down jacket. The service I received from Chris T and Claire was second to none! They were both extremely helpful and knowledgeable on the specification and features of the various jackets. They went out of their way to help me decide which jacket to buy. They made sure I chose the correct size and showed me all the adjustments possible. Fantastic service which confirmed that visiting one of the smaller Go Outdoors stores can provide a more personal and satisfying customer experience.

I visited the store with a view to buying hiking boots and received exceptional service from Chris T. He spent sufficient time advising on the different brands before I made a purchase and I was very impressed with both his customer service and knowledge.
I will definitely return here and can highly recommend.

Great shop Chris T was amazing and thorough he spent time with me as I was unsure which hiking boots to get with sizing etc he helped me every step with his knowledge of hiking boots and ways to get the perfect fit.

An assistant went to hunt for what I wanted amongst the summer stock which had recently been put away and came back with it.

Staff are on hand if required, but leave you peacefully to peruse the shop floor. When I asked for a t shirt to be opened to check the size, there was no problem. The staff are friendly and welcoming, no matter how much, or little is spent.

I asked if they still had sandals as no longer on display and I was greeted with enthusiasim from Claire who immediately went to the store room and came back with a selection to try on. She was helpful throughout and even helped check for discounts through affiliated groups, like Girlguiding. If you are looking for something not on display, always ask, as they retain stock in the storeroom which they don't have place on the floor to display.

I came in looking for a pair of hiking boots today and Claire helped me out. I must have tried on like 6-7 pairs and she was so pleasant and talked through my decision with me since I wanted a pair that would last me a while in versatile hiking conditions! Ended up going with one of the first ones I tried on initially which we had a good laugh about. 10/10 customer service and would recommend Claire, she knows her stuff!
