I’ve been struggling on making a decision on what sleeping bag would suit me best for my needs. After weeks of online searching and a visit to an independent shop in Newcastle with no success, I called into Alnwick G O.
I wish I had just gone there first! Russell and Sally were absolutely fantastic, their knowledge and expertise on wild camping was just brilliant, Russell even got a sleep mat down and allowed me to try on some sleeping bags on the shop floor! I felt comfortable to ask advice on other products that I wasn’t intending to buying at that time and they gave it willingly. There was no pressure on selling either.
It’s so lovely to visit a store and find staff that are so passionate about helping customers find what they are looking for.

God choice to choose from at reasonable prices.

Phil gave exceptional advice on new boots. I have had many pairs and walk a lot, so I am not a novice. Phil spend extra time, looked at my feet and discussed my needs. He came up with 2 or 3 pairs to try. He was very knowledgably.

Friendly, helpful staff who are also knowledgeable. Sally was especially customer focused and really great to deal with.

I purchased a walking pole, which I had to return after “user error”- both Sally and her colleague were helpful and didn’t make me feel stupid.

Would be very happy to shop here again.

I needed a pair of boots for a specific long distance walk and Katie went to a lot of effort to help. Later it turned out they were faulty and Sally was efficient and professional in refunding me. Lastly Paul was able to change the tips on my poles which I’d been unable to do. I can’t thank these three enough for their help.

Sally checked a price for us and was very helpful.

Friendly and excellent service from three staff but in particular Marie who very efficiently sorted out my return as well as humanely disposing of a rather large spider found in one of my boots! Thank you so much

unfortunately, I didn't take the sales adviser's name, but it is a brilliant company.

Served by Sally, went to get outdoor footwear for my son. She was helpful when I said that they were for playing on the field at school and suggested boots which she then checked the sides as he thought they were tight and also checked where his big toe sat in the boot. She was friendly with both of us especially my son and suggested he have a little walk around to see how they felt. Very thorough customer service

The staff are very helpful. I have found, in most shops, when you ask where something is. They tell you isle whatever, or walk towards there, turn right, it's on your right somewhere. In go outdoors, every time I have struggled to find something and asked, the the staff took me straight to it. And that makes a big difference.

Excellent service and quality

Product was fine 2 items purchased BUT just a little upset that the very next day you introduced and offer with 15% off. It would have saved me £14.
Will now shop with extra care and ask when the next offers are due.

The Manager there was really informative and helpful.

I visited the Alnwick Go Outdoors store ,in Alnwick, with my grandson who is Autistic. We went to buy some trainers for him. We were helped by Will who was extremely patient and sensitive to our needs. Will was able to give me advice on which would be the best ones, such as which would be acceptable for school. Will was not at all phased by my grandson’s behaviour and reassured me that it was fine when he removed the tickets immediately, Will said don’t worry we can reattach them. We felt very well looked after. Also, the same treatment was given by Donna at the till. Thank you so much.

After a HUGE failure with our tent, having only arrived at our destination, following 3 hours on the road, Go Outdoors in Alnwick saved the day!!
We ended up purchasing a replacement tent, having an excellent discussion with a member of staff about features and the best way to manage an airbeam tent (this is our first) and being in a much calmer and more settled frame of mind once back on site.
Our holiday could have gone terribly - Go Outdoors helped to make it one of the best we've ever had in a tent!!
Well done Alnwick Go Outdoors staff (especially the young man who helped the very beleaguered family on the 4th of August)!

Go outdoors Alnwick Northumberland were brilliant. We were camping when our tent leaked in. They didnt have the tent we wanted but they rang Berwick for us and the Berwick store saved us the what we wanted til we could get there. Both stores went above and beyond to help us. Couldn't have got better service
