This is a fake website, you will never be able to use the cards. 100% scam. Fraud.
Yeah what details would that be? This is a massive pattern and you've completely scammed me and when I went online about it, it was clear that is your whole business, selling irredeemable giftcards.

I have a &50 Ultimate Choice Card that just won't redeem no matter what merchant I choose. Contacted the company and they have created a report, sent to Level 2. I get a response with a pdf file on how to redeem! Same thing I have been trying for over a week now. Last communication they asked me for my IP address which should have nothing to do with redeeming a gift card. Total SCAM!
How can this company continue to get away with taking people's money and not providing the service being paid for?

Got an ultimate one 4 all gift- which needs to be exchanged for egifts. After Trying to redeem the card multiple times for a month the website keeps saying verifying device - contacted customer care and the Black hawk team created a case- its more than a week now - no resolution and reply to emails. Just have a useless card with me

I Would Trust the Devil Himself before this company..
If there were a hell pit deep enough for the kind of service this company provides, GiftCards.ca would already be buried in it. What they call “customer support” feels more like a test of endurance — a slow bleed of time, patience, and sanity.
Every interaction felt like shouting into the void, where your money vanishes and your voice goes unheard. They promise convenience, but deliver chaos. They take your trust, and hand you silence.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone not even to the devil himself. Because even he, I imagine, has higher standards.

First, I want to say that this is not a scam and it is a real business, and all the humans I interacted with were great, but disempowered. I was worried when I had trouble, but I successfully sent a couple of gift cards that people definitely received and used. No, the problem is that they use an algorithm to make their decisions, and after successfully sending two gift cards, I tried to buy another (For ONE person for all of $25….), there was a hold put on my credit card and the order was canceled due to “potential fraud.” I don’t know how they determined I was somehow trying to scam them after they already successfully took my money?!? Is this you? Here’s what worked and what didn’t to get it solved (for all of twelve hours, so don’t get too excited.) First, don’t call. It’s just endless answering machine messages and the usual tricks, hitting pound or zero to get a human, go nowhere. Submit your problem on the website so you get an email with a case number. Then immediately go to the chat on the website. (Don’t try to wait for an email. It was hours before I did this.) Immediately tell the chatbot your case number, and it will finally get you to a human. The first person I chatted with said they would do something to allow me to buy the gift card. It didn’t work, so I replied to the email they sent that the case was resolved, and it was reopened and a very nice lady called me and said if I submitted the same exact amount/gift card/credit card, I had 12 hours to order it. But only for that gift card and only for twelve hours, and it worked! I still can’t buy any other gift cards on giftcard.ca. If I hadn’t already told my friend I would give them a specific gift card, I wouldn’t have even tried that hard. You could go to amazon or walmart (I KNOW, but they have the same cards and they will actually take your money… Which I didn’t know to appreciate in a business.) I don’t know how many people are attempting to buy their product and failing because the AI is erroneously signaling fraud. It’s probably a whole lot. Welcome to the new age of customer service from the old days when the customer is always right (or at least, you know, assumed to be an actual human being), to the new days of fraud accusations, cancelled orders, and endless account holds. (Oh yeah, did I mention? They can immediately cancel the order, but they can’t cancel they successful hold on my credit for weeks.) Dear giftcards.ca, I would’ve liked to have been a customer, but you’re never getting my business again, whether I like it or not. Also DO NOT come for your human employees. They were the ONLY good part about this entire situation. You need more of them and you need to give them more power. Just saying.

Downgraded from 2 to 1 stars.
The issue has not been resolved and they are shifting the blame to paypal.
I sent them an email and basically said “i purchased the card from you, you are responsible for my refund not mastercard or visa or payal! for my refordered a prepaid credit card joker in the amount of $100 from YOU through your website in January of this year.
The total amount charged to my was $107.95.
The order was marked as fulfilled. Order Number:
13346819Order Date: 01/24/2025
Order Total: $107.95 ($100 card + your fees).
However, I never succeeded in registering or using the card and I only recently rediscovered the virtual card while browsing through archived photo albums on my phone.
A screenshot dated April 11, 2025, reminded me that the card had remained unused.
Order Number:13346819
Order Date: 01/24/202515:06:48
Order Total: $100
When I entered the card details, a message appeared instructing me to contact the original vendor.
You are the original vendor. The seller of the product I purchased.
I searched for the original confirmation email, located the invoice, and attempted to use your customer support system.
I also rediscovered prior emails of me asking for the same type of assistance with the same issue with registration and was never offered a concrete solution.
The interface for submitting support support requests was extremely difficult to use.
The contact form froze repeatedly.
Typing within the fields caused delays, skipped characters, and jumbled words. Even after clearing caches, using different browsers, devices.
Pasting text was disabled, which made it impossible to provide a clear description of the issue or to insert transaction history or screenshots.
I then tried to use the live chat option.
Despite multiple attempts, I was disconnected from chat agents without explanation.
On several occasions, the entire interface reset. Conversations were lost.
Agents would leave the session mid-discussion, without prior notice. These repeated difficulties suggested that the platform is designed in a way that in a way thamakes it extremely difficult, if atnot entirely practically impossible for customers to reach resolution and to even begin the process of contacting you in the first place!
Eventually, I was told that YOU could not assist me and that I should contact my financial institution (my method of paymentThis recommendation did not make sense. If you purchase a product from a business and the product turns out to be defective, who is responsible for addressing that issue? The payment method? Or the vendor who sold the product?
How can my payment method PP solve my issue and provide one of the three viable solutions: how can PP help me register the existing card? or issue a new functioning card? or refund the payment?
This advice is both illogical and unreasonable!
They did not issue the card, are not affiliated with its activation system, and have no access to its registration platform. These are not actions a third-party can take. These are actions that YOUR ENTERPRISE alone has the capacity and the responsibility to carry out. Shifting the burden to a third party that played no role in the product’s failure reflects a refusal to accept accountability. That refusal is incompatible with fair business practice and with the minimum ethical standards of consumer commerce.
I am therefore respectfully requesting that one of the following occur: A working replacement card of equal value, or for effective assistance that will allow me to register and use the original card, or for a complete refund of the existing non-functional card for which I paid a total of $107.95.
*The receipt and the order marked as fulfilled was by YOU!
The obligation to resolve the matter belongs to the same party- YOU!
I am not asking for anything beyond what I am rightfully owed.
The current system of communication creates unnecessary delay and confusion and is utterly impossible to use to communicate with your enterprise.
The chat function is slow and unstable.
Support agents are frequently disconnected or reshuffled.
The support form is dysfunctional and inaccessible.
The phone menu is extremely unclear and difficult to navigate. It is a system so dysfunctional and exhausting and many people give up or leave it for another day and forget they made a purchase
* I was in fact delayed in following up only because of a serious medical emergency. That is why I forgot I purchased the card.
If, however, you refuse to respond in good faith or fail to provide a clear and concrete solution, I will resort to submittingformal complaints to the appropriate consumer protection authorities and pursue all other avenues of recourse available to me at the provincial or federal level.

Tried to buy a gift card as part of a promotion and my purchase was declined, because of supposed security issues. I contacted support and explained that my blog was funding the gift, still a no go. They did not even try to verify, My business name is listed on my Paypal account and this would have been an easy proof. But they don't seem to care about working with future clients. I will be happy to find a better company with better customer support

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with the One4all Ultimate gift card from Blackhawk Network (Canada) Ltd. Redeeming the card on an iPhone via Safari (at GiftCards.ca, which is, per their own website about page, "part of Blackhawk Network (Canada) Ltd.") was near impossible, with vague error messages directing me to "get in touch." Finding contact info was a chore—a non-clickable phone number was hidden in fine print behind a web submission form. After days of waiting, I received a generic email suggesting I clear my cache or re-enter the card number, which didn’t help. The phone system was a maze, offering only options to check balances or dispute transactions, looping back to the website. I had to register my card just to speak to someone, which felt like a deliberate hurdle.
When I finally reached a representative, they immediately asked if I was using an iPhone, revealing this is a known issue Blackhawk Network (Canada) Ltd. doesn’t disclose. This lack of transparency is unacceptable and feels like a scam designed to frustrate users into abandoning their cards—especially vulnerable groups like the elderly or kids. The process is unnecessarily convoluted, and their failure to address these issues upfront is deceptive. Avoid this card at all costs; Blackhawk Network (Canada) Ltd. needs to be called out for these shady practices. Choose a gift card that respects your time and money.
UPDATED: GiftCards.ca’s response is deceptive nonsense. They claimed I reviewed the wrong entity, saying they’re not the issuer, just a platform —which is what my review points out is problematic—, and to contact Blackhawk at 1-833-361-3585. But their own site giftcards.ca says, “We are part of Blackhawk Network (Canada) Ltd., a leading prepaid and payments network which supports the program management, physical distribution and digital distribution of a large range of prepaid and gift card products worldwide.” Same company, same broken system. This deflection feels like a dodge to avoid accountability for a terrible product and customer service.

Got a card and tried to redeem it, every single step to redeem it is as frustrating as possible to stop you from redeeming it.
-Website link was down for the entire time i tried to activate my card.
-Tried to submit a support ticket, has a minimum word count of 4 and a maximum of 25 and would wipe all entered info, if you messed up more than 5 time then it spits out an error telling you to try later.
-Calling support number leads you to a support system that is designed to make you give up.

This one is my bad for not checking Trustpilot before purchasing. I tried buying an e-gift card from this site and saw the option to pay with PayPal. Whenever I see a company that accepts PayPal, I use it because it's more secure. After purchasing, I got an email saying the payment was declined, but the amount was still deducted from my PayPal balance placed on pending status. I contacted their live chat, they explained to me that the order was cancelled due do security issues on my end. I contacted PayPal support, they explained to me what the pending status means. They said they are positive the merchant is able to release the funds; if they don't decide to release the funds, I have to wait a month for the transaction to expire. So, I contacted Blackhawk's support email, they explained to me once again that the order didn't go through, they recommend I contact PayPal support(extremely unhelped). PayPal again explained to me that all the merchant has to do is log into their PayPal, go the activity tab, search my email, click the transaction, and cancel the transaction. I contacted BlackHawk again, and they said they are forwarding me to their PayPal support group to help me. I was relieved at this point, but I did not receive an email again until two weeks later. Not from their PayPal support, it seems like they just copied and pasted the same thing they sent me way back from the live chat on the site, just saying the purchase was not completed because of security issues. This whole thing is a headache, and their customer support is no help. The solution is so simple. Their PayPal account manager logs into their PayPal, clicks the activity tab, searches my email, clicks the PENDING transaction, and cancels it, I shouldn't have to wait a month for it to expire. I did not receive any product, they should have no problem doing this.
UPDATE:
(Giftcards.ca replied to this, and it seems like they didn't even read my review. It takes a month for a pending transaction on PayPal to expire, but I shouldn't have to wait a month. Giftcards.ca just has to cancel the transaction from their PayPal, which is easy to do. And I did not reach out regarding a "plastic card." I don't know why they would lie about that. They sent me an email two weeks later after they said they would help me and I simply replied to it not regarding a "plastic card".)
Giftcards.ca has complete control to release my funds but they refuse and I'm forced to wait a month.
