I went to go buy one of these cards to buy something from the Nintendo EShop and right when I put my card information in, it immediately locked my card and I'm unable to use it now, I waited for 4 days now and I am still unable to use it, I can't check my balance anymore. I had a previous card that I had used before and I tried to check the balance on that card and it worked completely fine.
When I called customer service, it told me the card wasn't activated from the store I bought it from even though i was able to register it after buying it and just hung up on me and won't send me to an actual agent. Never buying again

Had 2 as gifts, they don't work, registered it online, tried dot buy something, nope, error. Other one expired, couldn't use it any time I tried, have to call the stupid company to get a new one. They hang up. I will be letting people know this is a useless frustrating gift that will go right in the garbage next time.

What’s most frustrating is how subtle it all is, you don’t realize how much you’re losing until it’s too late. Customer support is unhelpful at best and dismissive at worst, leaving you stuck and out of pocket.
Do yourself a favor and stay far away from Joker Card Company. There are far better, more transparent options out there. Don’t learn this lesson the hard way.

I went to use the card on Amazon, because I got it as a gift for Christmas. It ended up being declined and I was confused because prior to this I never even opened the card, only to discover that it has been used in Montreal. I am in Toronto, and I found out that my card had been used via their "check balance" site. I have been unable to get in contact with anyone and would love to get my $100 back, because legally this is fraud.

UPDATE: JOKER reached out, but there was no info in the message, so far just a waste of time... so not a serious attempt at resolution - unless... they actually do send SOME info to me? Maybe?

I had to put a hold on my mail through Canada post. Bought a joker visa since it was a small purchase. My payment didn't go through. My friend then used their visa to help me out. It went through no problem! Then registered the joker visa. I tried to pay for a yoga class. It said 'insufficient funds'. So what joker visa did was take the money off for the mail hold anyway! It said pending for over 48 hours. This was after my friend already paid for my mail hold. Then I looked up the account again and the money was taken off $37.80. Where did it go! The vendor Canada Post wouldn't have taken it twice! I have reference number in my name. I believe Joker Visa are somehow depositing the exact amount in another account! Joker Visa are total scammers! They stole from me! I called them and the call purposely dropped after I tried to talk to someone! They should be under investigation!! They are deliberately filtering money into their own account. Scummy!

Terrible service. Got gifted a $100 card for Christmas, it was activated, and went to check now and the funds were drained by someone on the OPPOSITE end of my country. Complete scam. Tried contacting customer service and nothing was resolved. Family member is now out $100 and I cannot use my gift.

C'est la première fois que je trouve une carte horrible comme ça. je me débrouille très bien eninformatique et impossible de l'enregistrer.. j'ai tout juste réussi à l'activer de manière accidentelle et le service à la clientèle inexistant... On est en 2026 comment ça peut être impossible d'activer une carte par Internet il y a trop de moyens de vérification facile non c'est vraiment horrible

This is the only company that I had trouble with when it comes to prepaid cards. I registered the card correctly, I go to use it and it never works. Checking the balance is fine and trying to re-register the card gives me error and a number to call. Called that number provided followed through the AI prompts just to be transferred to a support staff. Was on hold for 5 minutes just to be disconnected.

This joker card is a straight scam. You can’t contact anyone for assistance. I contacted dollarama where the card was purchased. They claimed it was used, but can’t tell me where and when. I also hold dollarama accountable. They continue to sell this product, knowing it’s reputation.

This card is a scam, it doesn't work, declined at the stores and online. On their website and phone support they show that card is valid and full balance is available but it doesn't work. Trying to reach support, no luck, automated support just give balance information etc, no way to reach a real person to be able to ask them why it doesn't work. So looks like they give you scam cards and then hide away.

Visa card will not work on Amazon as of last night, today it will not work anywhere. This company obviously has reliability issues given the reviews here. I suggest making your local retailers aware of this so they can inform customers before they buy.

I had worst experience with the card when I loaded it was already used by unknown PayPal account. No customer service on phone. I have to "mail" my dispite. Then I tried through email but I think that is scam too. BHN support is handling the case. They asked for my personal information and when I gave them they disappeared. A total scam
