Please read before purchasing, You will regret ordering. We ordered 3 windows and a door. The door was delivered and the windows weren’t. Speaking to after sales and getting no answers apart from failed delivery, which there wasn’t even a delivery attempt! As they had several numbers to contact regarding delivery. Once they have your money they fail to sort anything or work with you. I now have to put a charge against my card to get the monies back. They are unhelpful and do not care.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.
I paid for a 4m door on the 10 of May; they promised eight weeks of installation time.
They have moved further up the installation three times.
They broke the glass in my house and didn't clean it up. They forced me to live with the door frame open for 16 weeks.
The total time waiting was 20 weeks. No explanations were given, no discount.
They use another company for manufacturing and installation, so is never their blame, and it is always some other company issues.
The most terrible company for customer treatment.
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

Thank you for your feedback on GFD Homes, all feedback is essential to us and I can only apologise to hear your are dissatisfied with the service you have received.
When looking over your order I can see you encountered a couple of initial delays due to glass from the manufacturers which sadly did have a knock-on effect on to your install date, for this we can only apologise. As you can imagine with large pieces of glass such as the ones required for your order they are not only large but extremely heavy and fragile.
To ensure your satisfaction with your new doors on occasion glass can fail at the quality control if there is a mark, blemish or chip which required remake glass to be made. We would hate to send out any glass that is not up to standard and leave you feeling disappointed in the product if we can avoid this however I can appreciate the delays you have encountered are frustrating and have left you dissatisfied with GFD Homes.
In light of your feedback on the installer’s breaking the glass and not cleaning it up, I have reached out for their comment on this as this is highly unusual from our experienced installers who are usually tidy and professional on-site.
We would never try to deflect blame and we working continuously with our suppliers to keep them accountable for any issues that may occur to minimise the impact on our customer’s to ensure we are servicing you in the best way possible.
The way we work at GFD Homes is by working directly with manufacturers to allow for our customers to purchase their products at a lower price. Along with this we work with a nationwide fitting team Martindales to be able to service the whole of the country and provided and end to end service for those who cannot find a local installer.
By doing so it means we can offer great products and service at a low to our customers which may not be available otherwise.
As we do offer our products at the lowest price possible it does not mean we do not compensate for delays or issues that occur with orders, however, I understand the support team did make a deduction from your balance as a gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience caused.
Once again I can only apologise for the issues you have encountered in your order journey but we do hope you love your new doors.

Superb Company
Cannot fault this company from start to finish the service was excellent my advisor Nick Curwen was great so helpful and patient. The correspondence was good also throughout, survey was fast as was production delivery and fitting, fitters where professional clean and efficient they also removed all the rubbish and the old door. Highly recommend this composite door is stunning exactly what I ordered but better than I had imagined 👍🏻👍🏻

Admin Errors
The patio doors I bought were excellent quality at a good price. The staff were always friendly.
Unfortunately, the administrative side of the company is a complete shambles
Incorrect billing, phone calls not returned. passed from department to department and small missing parts that were supposed to be sent out have not arrived.

Still haven’t received what I ordered
I ordered some smart bifolds 39 days ago. We was sent a final delivery date and the bifolds unfortunately didn’t turn up after loosing a days wage.
A week later after loosing a second days wage a set of bifolds turned up but we was absolutely gutted to find not only was they damaged but they are a cheaper alternative to the smart bifolds we ordered and paid for.
We are currently still waiting a refund, they aren’t communicating properly with us and we’ve had to call them on a different phone number for them to answer.
I feel so gutted that we’ve given this company £2720 of our very hard earned money. They’ve taken our money chucked us a poor attempt of bifold doors and were left feeling hopeless.
I wouldn’t even give them 1 star.
Please do not get caught out like we have.
After having to source our own knock on’s due to gfd homes not having them in time for the delivery date they gave us they reimburse us our money for knock on’s only (thank you) and we had to purchased them elsewhere.
The bifolds we purchased from gfd homes where SMART VISO 1000, 70mm profile as written on the order email. The knock on’s we had to source elsewhere where SMART KNOCK ON’s 70mm profile to fit the bifolds we purchased (profile measurements on gfd website). HOWEVER the bifolds we received where opal infinitive 80mm profile as written on the invoice letter when delivered.
So of course the smart knock on’s won’t fit on opal doors!!!
Still awaiting refund as our custom/contract was with and only with GFD HOMES nobody else not their suppliers or wherever they sourced them from.

I’m sorry to hear you are dissatisfied with the service and the product you have received from GFD Homes.
I can confirm you have received a genuine Smarts Systems product and not a ‘cheap alternative’ as you have suggested in your review. At GFD Homes we only work with approved Smart Systems suppliers so we are disappointed to hear you suggest the product is not genuine.
In regards to your order journey, I understand you experienced a delay on your order and also the frames have arrived damaged, I’m so sorry to hear this occurred.
Unfortunately, the delay with your order was due to a stock shortage of add-ons required on your order. As this was going to hold up your order till September I understand you managed to source your own addons which were reimbursed in full and delivery of your order followed 7 days after the initial delay was notified to you to allow you to move forward with installation.
We will always aim to get orders to our customers on the date specified however very rarely stock shortages can occur and sadly delays can occur. Our suppliers do try to keep this to a minimum and we will always advise our customers in their delivery email that the delivery date provided is based on current information from our suppliers in regards to the arrival of stock.
We are also sorry to hear your frame has arrived damaged, rest assured we are working with the manufacturer to come to a resolution for this.
As much as frame damage is as equally frustrating for you as it is for us, we have several options to resolve this without the need for a full refund and cancellation of your order. This would be a last resort if we could not resolve the damage reported which looking over your images will be possible.
As you are currently dealing with our customer service manager Sharon I will leave you in her very capable hands.
Once again I can only apologise for the issues you have had with your order but we will endeavour to come to a resolution you are satisfied with as soon as possible.

Great company
Great company, i was looked after by Nick at Global Doors but i wanted timber composite which could only be purchased through the sister company GFD.
Absolutely fantastic service, was not rushed into buying, in fact it was many calls to Nick over number of weeks, he was so thorough it was important to him things were right for me as he put it your spending a lot of money.
Doors arrived early, great email set up keeping me up to date with order.
Goods arrived well packaged , excellent quality very pleased customer
i would use again and have recommended to friends who are looking to buy new doors.

I found GFD Homes to be very…professional
I found GFD Homes to be very professional.
I had lots of contact from them keeping me updated with my order & arrived on the date given to me. I had two separate deliveries & both drivers contacted me 30 minutes before my delivery. Both items were extremely well packaged & the whole process was faultless.
