Just purchased a over the range GE microwave over the phone. David Reece was helpful and processed my request quickly, saving me a long trip to the Ardmore store. Have previously purchased a dishwasher, range, and refrigerator from the Glenside store. Service was excellent and prices were lower or equal to the big box stores, as verified at the point of sale via a Google search of the make and model.

Worked with Ian Chapin to purchase a 4K TV. He was excellent to work with and took very good care of me when there was a delay in receiving the TV. Besides receiving the original TV, I decided to purchase another TV and went directly to Ian without hesitation. I have never used Gerhards in the past for any appliances but surely will look to them in the future.

Second time we've purchased at Doylestown Gerhard's and both times were a breeze. Peter helped with washing machine purchase this time and it couldn't have been easier! And Mike the installer was great also! Would highly recommend the Doylestown store. We will use them next time!

We had a great experience at the Doylestown location, the associate Lorreta helped us with all of our questions and concerns. She made sure that we were familiar with the appliances and were completely happy with them. She was also very informative about the products we were interested in. I highly recommend going to see Lorreta for all of your appliance needs!
Horrible customer service, communication
My wife and I have shopped here before… We bought a grill as part of the Fourth of July sale… It came two weeks later than we were told, and arrived damaged… They finally communicated with us and when they tried to install it, the gas line was too short... I discovered this on my own…they took my current long gas line and threw it out
After calling customer service to rectify the problem of them throwing out my long gas line, they had no interest in helping me
They will not be getting my future business

A Gerhardt service technician came to our home on May 9, 2019 to check what was wrong with one of our ovens and the refrigerator door, which wasn't closing properly. He stated that we needed a new door and it would be ordered,
After many phone calls and MUCH confusion on the part of Gerhardt and Fast Appliance I received a notice that the door would be fixed on June 6, 2019. Two technicians came. Fixed the oven, but there was no door!
Back to the phone calls where no one seemed to know what I was talking about.
Finally on June 14, 2019 I speak with Ashley Williams. She not only apologized for the mess but was actually able to sort it out. She kept me updated on what was happening with the door.
The door was installed on June 28,2019.
Every major appliance in our kitchen is from Gerhardt. We purchased them from Gerhardt because we expected quality service, not the run around we would get from other vendors.
But back to Ashley. She showed genuine concern and was going to make this right. She should be commended for her customer service.
Should I need service again, I will not hesitate to contact her and save myself a lot of time.
Worst experience I have had with a…
Worst experience I have had with a merchant in a very long time. I bought a high-end refrigerator and their delivery personnel badly damaged an exterior door that now needs to be replaced. The delivery personnel contacted their supervisor- Anthony- who had them tell my wife that Gerhards would take care of it. This was more than a week ago and they are ignoring our calls and emails. This is just a bad business practice. Avoid this merchant to go to a reputable place instead!
The only way they are getting positive reviews is that they are writing them themselves.
Would rate sales, install and service at a negative 10 if possible.
Situation was resolved to my satisfaction.
Problems with product was recognized.
Washer/dryer returned and payment refunded.
Appreciate the cooperation from the appliance company.

Would rate sales, install and service at a negative 10 if possible. Washer and dryer caused water and structural damage to my house due to the excessive vibrations of the units. Units sold were not specified properly or installed properly for the application. Owner of company has refused to accept return of the units in accordance with their return policy on the order. Company's technician inspected the units and the installation and stated that the company should not sold the units to me. Owner and general manager of company have refused to acknowledge the issue or contact me directly.

Let me preface this review by saying my experience with Gerhard’s is the absolute worst retail experience I’ve ever encountered. I purchased four new appliances (a stove, dishwasher, refrigerator and vent hood) from Gerhard’s in November 2018. My wife and I decided to buy from Gerhard’s because we wanted to support a local company. I had never purchased anything from Gerhard’s before and after this experience will likely never again. To begin with, for delivery they gave me a several hour window for delivery which they kept pushing back (because they way overbooked) but told me they would definitely be delivering that day. Then they never showed and never called. By 9pm I finally figured they wouldn’t be coming that day. The next morning I called to find out when they’d be coming to deliver my appliances and they wanted to push me off until later because they had other deliveries scheduled. When I complained that I should be first, they gave in and said ok they would schedule me first for the day. In the first month, my new Kitchenaid dishwasher failed and the pump had to be replaced. From the beginning the Samsung fridge never kept the correct temperature. It varied from 42 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit (not a safe temp to store food). My wife and I have a new baby (she just turned one but when we bought the fridge she was about 6 months old). I called Gerhard’s about the faulty appliances and they scheduled their affiliate repair company “Fast Appliance.” They replaced the pump in the dishwasher and the fan in the fridge. The dishwasher repair worked and we haven’t had a problem with it since then. However, the fridge repair did not work and they came out a few weeks later to replace a sensor. That did not work either. A few weeks later they were out again and informed me there was a Freon leak and that they had to replace the compressor. After they replaced the compressor the fridge stopped working completely. They then wanted to replace the compressor again. At that point I called Samsung and told them I wanted a replacement fridge. After several calls they did agree to replace it. However, Gerhard’s refused to do the exchange. I spoke with several people from Gerhards’s and each was incredibly rude and unprofessional - Ashley, a “service manager,” Trish, a “delivery manager,” and TJ Scully, a “customer service manager.” I have to say I’ve never been treated so rudely and poorly by so many service representatives from one company. These people were absolutely no help and displayed no empathy for all the problems I experienced from the products their company sold me. Specifically, Ashley was the rudest of the three. When I told her how frustrated I was, she asked me to explain. When I explained all the problems with the fridge, the delivery etc. she told me I needed to take a breath, cut me off and then put me on hold without telling me she was going to do that. This is the absolutely most rudest I’ve ever been treated on the phone by anyone. Trish was supposed to call me back with an update but never did. When I spoke with TJ he was very condescending and said they were refusing to do the fridge exchange that Samsung had approved but wouldn’t provide me a reason. Then he called me back later and just said that their delivery department was refusing to do the exchange. The Samsung reps said they had never heard of a retailer refusing to do an exchange like that. After multiple calls with Samsung, I was finally able to get them to give me a full cash refund for the fridge. After over a month without a fridge, I received the refund and purchased an LG fridge from Best Buy. Best Buy was awesome. They delivered on time and communicated very professionally - I received two calls, text messages and emails. I’ve had the new fridge for about two weeks and it’s working great. Don’t be fooled by Gerhard’s. Stay away. They are absolutely terrible.
Shop Local
Purchased an entire kitchen from Gerhards, went in with photos and measurements but no idea what I would actually purchase. My sales rep Allie listend to my ideas and showed me the GE Cafe series in matte white and copper finishes (I didn’t want SS) It was perfect! Delivery and installation happened seamlessly. No one ever likes having time windows and taking a day off of work but it was so worth it once I had my appliances ready to go. I would highly recommend Gerhard’s over any big box store.
A Difficult Fix
Ashley in the office and Bob in the field got our refrigerator working. We experienced a 'perfect storm' of breakdowns that would have stymied most repair operations.
We were very well treated by Ashley, who was always understanding and professional in guiding us to a favorable fix.
Bob, our favorite technician, was never overwhelmed. He proved to be up to the task. The man is masterful.
Our family has always Bought at Gerhard's and now we'll always Fix at Gerhard's!

Gerhard's Appliance (Glenside store / rep. Malissa Bunn) waited until ONE HOUR before appliance delivery time window (11am-2pm on January 2, 2019) to let me know that the Sub-Zero refrigerator was on back order. I worked with Melissa and picked out the appliances months ahead of the project to avoid this situation, yet they failed to have the refrigerator on delivery day. My contractor and I had both spoken with Malissa and other Gerhard's employees on many occasions leading up to the delivery and they NEVER once mentioned that the refrigerator was on back order. These appliances were ordered and paid for on November 8, 2018 and at that time I specifically asked about product availability/back orders. Malissa assured me that all the appliances were available and that they would be procured and kept in their warehouse until delivery time. Very disappointed in their lack of professionalism and outright dishonesty!!!

Bought washer there with extended service contract. The company Gerhards uses for these contracts decided not to back up a rebate claim. Gehards backed the company instead of their NOW FORMER customer. Diane from Gerhards followed up with Nasty email. You have been warned!
Lie to Get a Sale
We purchased a GE Gas Dryer over 2 weeks ago, it was delivered on time, but we requested a call 30 minutes prior to put our dogs in their crates we get a call when the driver is on our street. Our dryer was a No Fit on the day of delivery. The driver stated that it could be taken apart to call the store on the Monday after delivery. So I called and spoke to our salesman Rich at the Grant Avenue store and he lied to me telling me No GE Dryers can be taken apart. So I called GE and confirmed it can be taken apart and still he continue to tell me it couldn't be taken apart. So we had to hire a private appliance company to come out and take apart the dryer which does come apart. So apparently a GE dryer does come apart and I have the proof. We are still waiting on the paperwork that was supposed to be mailed to us showing proof that we are receiving an additional 10 year warranty since we where lied too!
Don't let anyone ever tell you something can't come apart. If a sofa with a wooden frame can be taken apart so can a GE Dryer!

SERVICE WELL BELOW STANDARD...DON'T BUY AT GERHARD'S
Purchased an LG washer and dryer in Doylestown, salesman Mark Cooper, delivered 7/5/18. After first use, large amount of water leaked from bottom. Called Mark, he advised that a tech will come out to repair just one time and if not fixed he would order me a new washer. Tech was sent and said it was dispenser hose. I asked how so much water could come from such a small place, especially since it looked like it leaked from the bottom. He said he cannot look underneath because LG has a full panel underneath which encloses the mechanics and the whole panel would have to be removed in order to check. Part arrived and tech replaced. Washer leaked again, called Marc to have him honor his promise to replace the washer. Never heard from Marc. Called Marc again and he advised that he could no longer help me and that a T.J. from service was to call me. Never heard from T.J. Called my credit company to stop payment as I was not going to spend over $1,000.00 on a product that does not work and no satisfaction from company. I should have read all the Gerhard complaints from BBB, and Yelp (just to name a few) before I purchased from them. They have more than their share of service complaints. I purchased from them thinking their service (if needed) would far superior than the big box stores. Boy, was I wrong.
I love my new kitchen appliances
I purchased 4 new kitchen appliances. Rick from sales staff in Glenside was excellent. He was helpful, listened to what I was looking for, took notes, patiently answered all my questions, showed me various options offering suggestions, and was not overbearing. He provided a timely written quote. After the sale he was very helpful in explaining the installation and rebate process. He checked to make sure everything was in stock. Installation went seamlessly except when they went to install the dishwasher they realized it was incorrect color, stainless rather than slate. They contacted the office to get the process started for the right color before they left my house. The manufacturer had tagged the incorrect box. By the end of the week I had the correct dishwasher installed. I am pleased with the performance and look of the GE slate appliances. Only one minor comment, the refrigerator lighting is a little dimmer than expected for led lighting.
