Offered £120 for a working device. Company claim it no longer works and only offered £11. Was fully working before sent to company. Had to pay for return postage and still not had my item back.

Thanks for your review.
As advised, your item has a faulty port and has suffered moisture exposure. The phone tells you this with an on screen warning and disables the port.
With regards to having not received your device back yet.. I’m not sure what you think the returns process or courier is but your review was left within 3 hours of this trade in being processed and your postage payment being made, meaning it would be impossible for us to have it back to you within that time, even if we were to personally hand deliver it.
I’m sorry we weren’t able to meet your expectations on this occasion but wish you the best of luck in future.

I stupidly put in the wrong bank details and they emailed me straight away to help rectify the problem. Problem sorted and the money is now in my account!

Gadget Reclaim offered me a great price for my phone - returns process was very easy & I was kept up to date with progress. Money was in my bank account within 24 hours of them receiving my old phone. Would happily use them again

Would Avoid
Give you a quote, send the device in and they simply claim the device is faulty then say you've got to pay to send it back to you - pretty disgraceful. Apparently the return fee is in their T&Cs but as you can imagine it's barely locate-able.
Very poor, wouldn't waste your time (or device!)

Whilst we don't mind a negative review when warranted, we do much prefer honest and factual ones - this one is neither.
The phone you sent us, you registered as working which is incorrect. it had a smashed screen, struggled to power up and was (and still is, if you'd like to check) locked to iCloud. This renders your device faulty and useless to anyone other than the owner of the iCloud account.
Returns fees are very clearly published across our site, and also comparison sites which you used, and our terms and conditions are purposely written in layman's terms without any "herein" "forthwith" and other rubbish jargon most people use to purposely try and hide things - Not us.
We are sorry you feel the need to write this review, but I hope on reflection you agree your device was faulty as described above and in emails, we have communicated to you.

Don't be fooled by the high initial offer
The business practices of this company make it a poor choice to sell your device. My perfect condition Galaxy S10+ was initially offered £146. Once they received it, they notify me the revised offer was half that price, apparently due to the battery capacity being below the 85% they require. I questioned this asking for evidence and eventually got a copy of the test report which showed it as 80%. The company provide no way for you to test your device in advance of shipping it, to know if it will/won't comply with their terms which are obscured and intentionally difficult to understand. I then rejected their offer and was told they had destroyed my original box/accessories which I returned the phone in and charged me £5 to send the phone back to me. After a week, the phone finally returned and I shipped it off to a competitor of this company and got £140 the next day - no fuss, no bait pricing. Choose another company to do business with is my advice.

Your device was reclassified due to having poor battery health, something which is very clearly published on our website must be above 85% capacity. It is very hard to miss as mentioned when you press the sell now button, it is clearly displayed in an alert pop-up window before proceeding to checkout. We provided a test report immediately to you when sending the order out and are always happy to do so and do for any offers that are amended.
As mentioned in our email exchange, you question our terms and conditions in relation to this device, yet you sent us another device also with a knowingly smashed back glass (outside of our terms and conditions) yet you thought this was fine?
Regarding our terms and conditions, these are purposely written in layman's terms without any "herein" "forthwith" and other rubbish jargon most people use to purposely try and hide things - Not us.
Your box was returned to you along with your phone also - no accessories were sent in with your phone.
Finally, in regards to a week later the phone being returned, your trade-in was requested to be returned right on the weekend, and also with a 3-day Royal mail strike was out of our control.
We are glad you managed to sell your device to someone else, other recyclers often have differing criteria, which is why it's important to always read things clearly before transacting.
