We visited Reading store Mark Lovegrove was friendly helpful and answered all our questions and explained everything making it a brilliant experience.We have purchased furniture for lounge dining room and bedroom for our new home which we can’t wait to take delivery of and once moved in we will be back for more

Great experience both in store and the delivery was very professional, I was actually taken aback!

Really great prices for superior furniture.
Lots of options available in a huge variety of coverings.
We we warmly greeted on entering the shop and once my requirements were know, we were directed to the areas in the showroom that met the requirements. We were allowed to wander around trying settees and when we kept coming back to the best one, we were then talked through all the options available, which were many. Choice made, the purchase was so easy and we chatted with the staff member whilst completing the paperwork.
Another good point is that to make access easy, the settee comes in pieces and will be taken to room and assembled for us and all the packaging removed.
So far we cannot fault any of the whole experience. Totally recommend this store.

Good attentive service not overbearing

Amazing service from Yemurai at furniture village reading. A great asset to the company. Yemu was extremely helpful and helped me find the perfect sofa with the quickest turnaround time. Nothing was too much trouble for her. A great quality sofa and the delivery guys were absolute gems.

Valentino looked after all our request and was excellent at customer service. Nothing was to much trouble. As a result we pitched 6k with of furniture

Extremely disappointing experience – £4,000 order cancelled and re-ordered without informing us

We placed an order with Furniture Village on 16 August for a dining table, chairs and sideboard worth approximately £4,000. We specifically went ahead with this purchase because we were assured that the items could be delivered within 3 weeks.

For almost three weeks, we received no communication or update. When I eventually checked the tracking myself, I was shocked to discover that our original order had been cancelled and a new order had been placed on 26 August — 10 days after our original purchase.

Nobody contacted us to explain why the original order was cancelled or why a new one had been created. Unsurprisingly, the estimated delivery date has now moved further ahead, despite the 3-week delivery promise being one of the main reasons we placed the order.

I then spent nearly 2 hours trying to get an explanation. Customer Services referred us back to the store, the store said they hadn't made the change, and the warehouse apparently hadn't made the change either. So somehow a £4,000 customer order has been cancelled and recreated, yet Furniture Village cannot tell us who did it, why it happened, or take ownership of the issue.

The only response we have received is essentially “sorry”.

For an order of this value, this level of communication and accountability is simply unacceptable. If there was an unavoidable delay, we should have been contacted and given an explanation and options. Instead, the order was changed behind the scenes without our knowledge, and we only discovered it because we checked ourselves.

We purchased from Furniture Village expecting a professional service, particularly after being given a clear delivery expectation at the point of sale. So far, the experience has been extremely disappointing.

I would like Furniture Village to investigate what actually happened to our original order, honour the delivery commitment we were given, and provide a proper resolution rather than simply passing us between departments and apologising.

We popped in to browse new dining tables on Saturday, went home to remeasure and make decisions and then returned on Sunday to make the purchase

Took the interest free option, as no further deals paying up front.

We purhased a Sofa at Furniture Village. Fantastic customer service provided by Jimmy Carey. A perfect balance of helpful attention, product knowledge ( answering our questions ) , providing options and giving us the time to make our own choices.

My wife and I came to the Romford branch in search of a sofa. A member of staff named Ali helped us to find the sofa we wanted, answer all our questions until we made our choice. I would recommend anyone coming to the Romford branch of Furniture Village to ask Ali for assistance.

Ali served us in store and he is very helpful, kind and gave us many options to think about, very good advise and I would definitely recommend this store to family and friends.
We bought our family dream sofa and Ali was always there whenever we were confused or need more support.

We visited Furniture Village in Reading this weekend to take a look at dining chairs and bar stools. We spent a fair bit of time with our three year old, wondering around and trying out all of the different chairs. Shopping for furniture with a three year old is not ideal but we were made to feel very welcome and were never rushed. Mark was fantastic at giving us all the help and information when we needed it but stepping back and letting us get on with things on our own and in our own time. He was very helpful and friendly at all times. The store had some brilliant deals on so we were able to eventually purchase the right items for us and have a new dining set coming in November. Would highly recommend this store.

We had Mohsin guide through choosing the right sofa for us. He was really helpful in telling us the different options we had that fit into our price range. Would definitely recommend his guidance!

We were helped by Mark. The shopping experience was pleasant and none pushing, we were allowed to look around without being followed and ‘sold to’. Mark took plenty of time to explain everything and answered all our questions, offered Tea & Coffee and ultimately make us feel welcome and under no pressure's. Highly recommend furniture Village if you are looking for a pleasant shopping experience.
