Carl was patient and helpful as we tried to make our decision.

Phillip was extremely helpful to us and answered all my questions. He went the extra mile, especially as the order was for overseas shipping, and I had to ask a friend to go into the store and liaise between us all.

Phillip was so pleasant and spoke with so much professionalism, and he made my first ever purchase at furniture village a pleasure. Phillip is a credit to Furniture Village, a real gem who should be promoted to store Manager!

We ordered a king size Zanetti ottoman bed from FV Abingdon. Delivery was quick and well organised. We were kept updated throughout and the guys arrived when expected.
The delivery specialists were Mickel and Chris. We can’t rate them ‘highly enough. They were very polite and friendly from our first interaction with them. They laid protection on our hall carpet and asked if they could take some photographs prior to bringing in the bed. They then brought the bed sections in and we showed them where it was to be built. They put us at our ease and said they’d let us know when it was complete. They finished quickly and we went to see it in situ. They checked if we wanted it moved at all and they moved it a few inches. They also ran through the features of the bed and how to operate it. Mickel and Chris couldn’t have been nicer to deal with or more efficient. Very happy customers.

Simon has been absolutely a master salesperson

The in store sales staff were very extremely helpful and friendly as indeed were the delivery team headed by Mickel.
Unfortunately one of the sofas that we purchased in June 2025 was found to be faulty on delivery in July.
It was at that stage everything went downhill!
We reported this to the store who advised that they would notify the central customer service dept who would then contact us directly.
This didn’t happen despite us chancing them regularly for an update and some action to resolve the matter.
At this stage we returned to the store to update them and they then chased CS for us who eventually acknowledged on 5 Sept that a replacement had been ordered and delivery should be around 8 weeks.
Early December we once again returned to the store as we hadn’t heard anything despite us requesting an update on progress several times.
After their intervention again we were given a delivery date of 7 January.
In view of the length of time and number of trips into store , around journey of 40 miles, we asked for some form of compensation as this had now taken 6 months to resolve however once again our emails etc were ignored by ‘customer service’ !!!!!

My query was dealt with efficiently by Kush who the explained the process and organised a repair team to come.

Lovely store with friendly professional staff. There is no hard sell - sales staff answer questions, provide options and always advise reflecting. Personally I’ve made 4 visits before making the final decision and each time every member of staff has been informative, helpful and very knowledgeable. Thank you - especially Carl.

Great costumer service. Didn't harass you....and allowed you to browse and take your time.

Carl at the Abingdon store has been so helpful. I went in on a Friday just to have a look and he was helpful but not overly salesmanship with trying to get a sale but letting me know I could get a coffee and he was there to help.
After a look around and some info from Carl I said I would be back on Sunday with my husband.
I went back today and found Carl and we made our purchase and was great full land thankful as Carl had the time and patience as we made our purchase.
Unfortunately we didn’t have a coffee or cookie (our choice) but everyone else made up for that! Anyways we are pleased we came back as we purchased our dining room set 3 years ago from Furniture Village and it was possibly Carl who helped us but a brilliant purchase again.

Very good service

There was a huge choice of sofas and chairs. We were not hassled by sales persons or pressured in any way. When we did need help it was available. The free coffee and cookies while we were choosing was a definite bonus!

The lady who served us, Liz Deane went above and beyond to help us. She gave us coffee and cookie, and made us feel we had as long as we needed. She did not put us under pressure to buy anything, and she knew the answer to all of our questions. She was struggling with the system playing up, but dealt with it professionally. Liz made our experience totally positive.
