t really is with sadness that i am having to write this review about fresco box but, having being treated like a complete idiot, fobbed of, made promises and offered a refund and then to be completely ignored by the person in-charge.
EDIT- since this, the i have spoken to the owner who has told me he does not care about reviews and i will not be getting my money back. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE OR YOUR LIKELY TO GET RIPPED OF, GO THE OPPOSITE WAY TO YOUR GOAL, YOUR MEALS WILL NOT TURN UP, THEY WILL TURN UP GONE OFF AND THE MEALS WILL NOT CONTAIN THE NUTRITION ON THE BOX.
Please continue to read. i would not like anyone else to go through what i have been through with this company even to the point of i will NEVER go through a meal prep company again i will just stick to making my meals myself. This review is very lengthly but do continue to read and you can make your own mind up at the end.
I spent £350 with these guys to get a diet plan and 4 weeks of food, this offering is not even on the website it was tailor-made for myself, i have no doubt at all they are not use to people spending the money i did and i thought it would make me a top priority. How i was wrong.
The dietician contacted me who was nice enough, we got on and had a good chat regarding the food and service i would receive, i don't know to much about macros so i took what she said as good and i was told i would receive my first set of meals on X and then it would be smooth sailing from here on out!
My first set of meals arrived and they where completely incorrect, i was trying to loose weight and the meals could of not been further away from what me and the dietician spoke about if they tried, out of the 12 boxes i received 7 of them had incorrect meals, 4 of them didn't arrive when they where suppose to forcing me to not have meals on the meal plan on certain days, 1 of them arrived completely gone off and was told not to eat any of the meals in the box and another box after 3 days of leaving them in the fridge i tried 1 of the meals it smelt of and i threw it in the bin.
NEXT- 2 weeks in i checked my weight and i was completely astounded to know i had put weight ON- A LOT!!! After then stressing my concerns to the main guy at fresco box he told me the dietician was doing it all wrong, he questioned it himself why i had so many carbs in my meals & in a nutshell she didn't know what she was doing and from here on out he would overlook my meals personally. I said okay i will give you guys another chance never mind the fact in the middle of all this my meals still where not turning up on time etc etc but i had put so much into this i felt i had to stick with it!
My next set of meals arrive and i immediately have concerns regarding the weight and the amount of carbs in the meals so i call again, this time i weigh the meals while I'm on the phone to them and i'm told by the guy in charge the kitchen are not weighing the meals they are doing it wrong and are being lazy, the meals are all being done completely incorrectly they are so sorry and he will personally make my meals from now on, he told me that if i did not loose weight in one week he would refund me 100% of the money i spent and to let them make it right and i agreed.
The next week came and i received my first set of meals and then nothing came the second time and once again i'm sat waiting for food that was never going to come, once again he apologised but this time i said enough was enough i didn't want to do this no more, i was told they could not afford to do a full refund and i said i was happy with half of the money back. 5 days has passed since the first deadline for that to be refunded to me, i was then told it would be yesterday, i phoned yesterday and they told me it would be done by the end of the day. Since then i've been completely ignored and i have no doubt that the refund will not be happening, it's so sad that i've had to write this review.
Price is not everything people, stick to making your own meals.
