Richard and Suzanne at Freedom Mortgages have helped me buy my first home. It's not an easy process let me tell you, I've tried it before. This time I chose to enlist these two and they were absolutely terrific from start to finish. Their process is slick (and very robust) which I think sets up the initial conversations with lenders really well because they have all of the signed-off and verified information ready to go from the start. They handled all of the technical conversations with the lender and requested information from me quickly, processed it immediately and kept the ball rolling. They also communicated really well with the property seller's estate agent, handling everything in a very calm and methodical manner, which I think went a long way to making sure the seller felt comfortable enough to continue with the sale.

Underpinning all of the good stuff that they both do, they're genuinely just really nice people to deal with, and I felt like they actually cared about getting me on the ladder. I would, and will, recommend them to anyone who asks.

Before sharing this review, I read one that suggested that Suzanne was the only one who worked (I'm paraphrasing). I have to dispute this. While perhaps a little quieter, Richard is undoubtedly as key to Freedom's success as Suzanne. He has multiple clients to search for the best rates for and that, of course, means juggling those requests... while waiting for responses from and chasing multiple lenders with whom those requests lie. At least, from my musings, that's what I think. I commend him for the work that goes into that. We had spoken to more than one broker and Freedom came through for us. Think Beckham's free kick against Greece to secure England's World Cup qualification all those years ago. Or Jordan's game winning shot against the Utah Jazz to win the Bulls's last NBA Finals if basketball is more your thing! It really felt like our last chance long after all other options had fallen to the wayside. Richard and Freedom really came through for us.

Suzanne's work in supporting us throughout the process thereafter to make sure everything was properly submitted cannot be understated. Her attention to detail to make sure that every possible query a lender may have was impressive. Her customer detail was very much appreciated throughout that process.
