I've ordered several things from forbiddenplanet.co.uk and I can't find any problems with them. I've received every order usually within a week, if an item is out of stock I've received it within a month which I think is reasonable. I'm very happy with the service they provide and will definitely be using them again!

I read the reviews shortly after ordering and wished I hadn't and was wanting to cancel my order. 2 of the 3 pop vinyls I ordered were here in about 7 days but I am still waiting on an order. I have been told it will be dispatched as soon as it comes in stock.

Placed an order recently and, after reading some of the negative reviews, thought that I may have made a mistake. However, my experience was perfect - I received a quick, helpful response to any emails I sent, and the order was despatched the week after my order was placed, as promised. Would definitely use again!

A year ago I bought a pop figure. After 6 weeks it did not arrive. The listing stated it was in stock when in fact was it not only out of stock but they had no idea when it is likely to be available. One year later I am still waiting on this item. The only reason I haven't demanded a refund is because the item I bought for £8.99 has become rare and is selling in excess of £60 on ebay and amazon. I've had en email today saying it will be in stock at the end of Feb, funnily enough I got the same email a month ago stating end of Jan. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

I ordered 3 Vinyl Idolz figures from this site. All 3 were shown as pre order items and all 3 arrived (in 2 shipments) within a month of the order date. I have just placed another order. Hopefully the service will be as good and trouble free this time.

16th April 2016 - My second order was for 3 items that were pre order. I item arrived fine and I got 2 emails from customer services advising me when the remaining 2 items should arrive. Second experience with them is ok so far.

If I could give this company a minus star rating I would.

Having ordered an item for a Christmas present at the beginning of December I still hadn't received it nearly two weeks later. Its been over a month now, and still heven't gotten it!!!!
Suggesting giving a discount was ignored. Im am NEVER shopping there again, nor recomending the site!

But you got a golden star in exceptionally lousy customer service!

I waited weeks for my order with no response from customer service.
When I finally got hold of them they apologised and told me my order would be dispatched immediately.
Then I receive an email to say 1 of my items is going to be delayed another 2 months and stating that "if I don't contact the company by the end of the day then my whole order will be cancelled and refunded"
(I was at work so I missed this email)
My whole order that I waited months to receive was cancelled, which makes me believe they just took my money and never even had the stock in the first place.
The customer service is nonexistent and when you do get through to them, their communication is poor/abysmal.
I am now still waiting for said refund and I will be sure to NEVER EVER use Forbidden Planet International again, making sure everyone knows what a despicable company they are.

No explanation or offer of a refund or compensation and only sent the item once I had asked for it.

Been waiting on an order now that was made on the 22nd december and I have still had no word on when it is going to be delivered. The item I ordered is in stock but I have had no status update on my order. I find their customer service to be terrible. They should send an e-mail when an order takes this long and actually respond to ones I have sent to them!! This is not the first time I have had a problem with them. I cancelled my last order from them as I eventually gave up waiting for it and ordered it elsewhere. The only good thing I can say about this site is their prices which are good but delivery and customer service is VERY poor.

I ordered £100 worth of Pop Vinyls with them; one of the biggest mistake of my life.
They happily took 100% of the money at the checkout but 1 week later and I still haven't heard anything from them, all of my 'online question forms' have been completely ignored too, so I can't even contact them.
All of my items were "in-stock" and I also ordered an item that was due to be released the next day (as soon as the release date came, the site automatically changed its status to out of stock/back order, which makes me think they never even had it in the first place)
I'm now reading all the horror stories of orders arriving months & years later, with little or no response from Forbidden Planet.
I'd like to cancel my order but I can't even do that now it seems.
I'm absolutely appauled by their lack of any service and I would advise everyone to avoid this company like the plague.
(They even trade as Forbidden Planet to fool some people into thinking they are the same company as .com - THEY ARE NOT!)

I used to buy from the Forbidden Planet shop in Coventry when I lived in the Midlands a few years ago, unfortunately I don't have a shop near me now I live in Norfolk.
I decided to try the Website, Unfortunately this was a big mistake I Bought In stock Item, but was told several days later that it was out of stock! even though I was sent an Order confirmation REFERENCE: #50729318

It was only a cheap item but that is not the point, I wasn't offered the item when it was back in stock, or an alternative or any kind of discount on a similar Item.
Very Poor, I won't be using again.

Bought 2 Pop Vinyl figures for me and my girlfriend on the 12th December (way before their "latest Christmas delivery" date) and had no sign of it or anything, happy enough to take my PayPal money straight away. E-mailed them to ask about it and they said it would be dispatched AFTER the New Year! After reading reviews on here I wish I never bothered, one less Christmas present under the tree now.

On checking it's 'status' I found Forbidden Planet hadn't even dispatched the item so I emailed to ask when I would receive it.

I received a reply stating although the item was in stock when I purchased it, it was no longer available when it came to be 'picked' for me. It was stated they'd requested more stock from the supplier but none has been confirmed.

However FP failed to notify me of any of this (no email, no phone call - nothing...) and I only became aware of it's unavailability when I chased my order up.

I have now cancelled the order as I do not feel I want to spend money with this company and I would advise anybody else to think twice to avoid hassle and disappointment.

For a company such as Forbidden Planet their service falls well short of the expected. Engage at your peril!

In 2015 when a store says 'in stock' it normally means you get a confirmation saying it has left within a couple of days.

I had ordered other Firefly models at the same time from two other places. Within 3 business days they were at my house.
Forbiddenplanet.co.uk took around 7 business days.

I can wait fine much longer, but don't tell me they are in stock when you have to order them in for delivery.

On the plus side they were packed well with no scratches or wear to the presentation box, so they hadn't been stored in one of their stores, which was nice because sometimes it is obvious when something has been sitting on a stores shelf.

It is the wrost experience ever!!! I got a confirmation email that the product was ready and all that it needed to charge to ship and wuala it got cancelled i was looking forward to this product for the hoildays, I AM NEVER GOING TO PRE-ORDER OR AT THIS POINT ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE EVER!

they make you wait 2-3 months after your preorder date has been and gone and they may cancel your order. i had £524 worth of pops and vinyl idoz preorderd with this shambles of a company. and after they notified me they were refunding me of a chucky pop with blood spat they couldnt get even though ive been waiting for 2 months for it to arrive the just refunded me. so i decided to email them my demands to cancel all my pops preoerders and inc bio shocks,strain,etc all the latest ones as i was done with this silly comapany. its not the official uk one anyways its split a few years ago from its perent company wich is .com and decided to use .co.uk for itself and and its bad delievrys and bead customer service. best go else where

Order a plush Serenity in February 2015, from forbiddenplanet.co.uk they changed the expected despatch date (April) on 3 occasions without informing me (I had to check the website and email them to find out what had happened) and failed to meet these dates.
Again they have failed to meet the most recent date 30th September and have just changed the date to "Coming Soon". No satisfactory response from the sales email address, I have just asked for a refund.
I will never order from these again.

Vi har været inde og se deres web side flere gange, men havde i september 2015 chancen for at besøge deres shop i London.
Det er en fed forretning hvor man kan finde en masse film gadgets.
Dog er det simpelthen "røver salg".
Vi havde lige været i en forlystelse, hvor vi kunne købe egne særlige items i forlystelsens egne shop. De er kendt for at være dyre, men alligevel var der gadgets i Forbiddenplanet der lå 10 - 100 pund over den originale shops pris. Så medmindre man har masser af penge og vil betale overpris, er det ikke tiden værd. Da vi påpegede over priserne i forretningen blev de tydeligvis irriterede.

I was at first worrying after reading the comments below. However I had no problems with my order. I pre-ordered some fallout pop vinyls. Received a dispatch email and they arrived 4 days later. No complaints. I even managed to cancel another existing order as i picked up those items in their store. No issues.

This is a mickey mouse company, we ordered over 30 pop vinyls over the course of 3-4 months, they arrived late, some were damaged, they got their backs up whenever you wanted to return something, we waited weeks for any refunds to be given and had to ring in, staff were unfriendly and unapologetic, try forbiddenplanet.com for any future orders because I will, its a bit of a con them using the .co.uk in their website name because they are not the true UK site.
