Have used the site a few times and had no problems although orders can take a long while to be sent out.

These people clearly arent interested in doing their job properly, respecting customers or finally, apologizing for being s**t at they job. They cannot be bothered about contacting you about order status or being professional. The only positive is, i got my order cancelled straight after asking. I ordered the same book from ebay which i should have done in the first place. Forbidden planet staff should be forbidden from having access to bank details as they hold no responsibility about anyone's money.

And OK site but very limited product range. The company is also VERY slow to process and despatch orders, things that should take hours take days (to be honest even hours are generous as it should be all automated) and then they send out deliveries on the back of a snail ... which has been covered in treacle.

With an average time of a week to receive a single in stock comic it really is pretty poor in this day and age.

Ordered some Harry Potter bits for a friends bday present, was then told these arent actually in stock and was refunded. This is the second time this has happened to me with their online store which is a shame as their physical store is amazing

Forbidden Planet is a great shop but their online store is just awful. I ordered two comics from them which were both shows as being in stock on the website. One of them was shipped out very quickly and got to me within a week, but the other one wasn't shipped out for another six months. It turns out they didn't actually have it in stock so they just waiting until they did have it to send it out, but they confirmed my order anyway. They didn't even take the money out of my bank account until they had sent out the second comic, so I had to try and make sure I had enough money in my bank for the six months that I was waiting.

Placed an order on Monday 17/07/2017 for 5 x Living Dead Dolls at £26.99 each.

Got to checkout and post & packing costs were calculated at £7.50.

Received an email on Wednesday 19/07/2017 which states - Upon processing this order down in dispatch department, DHL have advised that your address is within a remote area. Therefore, as well as the original £7.50 for postage paid, there is an extra charge of £17.50. Do you accept this delviery charge ?

I replied later that night with this message - I can confirm that I do not live in a remote area and No I do not accept any extra charge.

I have yet to receive any further response.

I live in Dumfries and Galloway next to the A75 which is a main road for traffic and a ferry route.

Hello

Apologies for the late response, I have since spoken to the warehouse and they have confirmed that this is a remote service area. We shouldn’t have requested the remote service charge from you, this was done in error (as we do with overseas) and you have already paid for the postage. We will split your order in to two parcels and send these via Royal Mail, as it being a remote area it would cost us more in postage. Once these have been dispatched you will receive a confirmation email.

Received my order today 24/07/2017 in three packages by Royal Mail. I have to say I am extremely happy, this is how it should have been in the first instance.

The Cambridge store is excellent but haven't brought online before. Staff helpful good selection of stock.

Placed an order over 2 months ago and still no email or any idea when it will come,ring up get passed from one company to another just checked my PayPal statement and says forbidden planet home shopping ltd and type it in Google and apparently business is dissolved according to HMRC so what the hell are they playing at still advertising and taking people's money.I have one upset little 7 year old who used his own birthday money to buy his present and now dont know who is responsible for refund absolutely disgusting will never ever order again 😠

Terrible customer service. A product I ordered went missing, in 4-5 email communications not once did I get an apology, just treated as though it was some how my fault, and still havent been issued the refund I was told I would get. Utterly unacceptable. Will never shop with them again, they obviously don't give a dam about their customers.

Ordered a pop from these guys 2 months ago, payment was taken and they still haven't got any stock, tried ringing them to cancel the order using the number on their website but the number was just some random persons number, i was so embarrassed, had to apologise to the guy for bothering him, this poor guy has his head wrecked from people ringing him all the time, should have never trusted this scamming company!

Great prices, massive selection of items with free p+p. The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is items can take a while to arrive-much longer than comparable sites.

Preordered several items in the past and I think I've maybe had one or two actually get dispatched. They happily take your money as soon as you order then leave you in the dark about release date. It hits the day they say stock is arriving and it changes to "Stock on the way soon". I've left a preorder without cancelling for ages before and it never changed to an actual date or got dispatched. I usually end up cancelling all preorders because I end up finding the item elsewhere before they even get stock.

Last time I cancelled a preorder, I contacted support and didn't even get a response, just an automated order update saying "The comments for your order are: CANCELLED". Doesn't seem like the best customer service...

This is a terrible company with no clue about the products that they have for sale on their website. I ordered an item a few years back that they told me they couldn't get hold of. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of ordering another item from them recently that was a limited edition. Thanks to the massive delay in them ultimately telling me that they couldn't get hold of the item (again) it meant I couldn't get hold of this now sold out item. This was despite the fact i'd contacted them repeatedly to find out the status of my item. Please don't make my mistake - avoid!

Absolutely disgusting behaviour from the London store. I went to purchase an item and the cashier refused to serve me after I gave him my membership details.... their reason was that I had returned an item that was faulty and they were no longer prepared to serve me!!!! I was so shocked and even after asking for the manager HE refused to discuss the issue.
Now I've been a customer of theirs since I was a teenager and could ride my bike into London. I've spent literally thousands of pounds with them and the way this guy spoke to me was revolting.
Majority of their customers are tourists and will never come back after their 'London city holiday' is over but absolutely disgraceful behaviour and will not be giving them my business again.

Ordered some funko pops and they arrived in terrible condition. The delivery box was fine so postal service not at fault but the inside was packed with too much bubble wrap so the boxes were crushed. Complained but after several emails, was told I couldn't return them for replacements, was given a refund and told I can do what I want with them. They were presents so couldn't give them in that condition. I have another order on the way which is too late to cancel and told that if it arrives in damaged condition, I will not get a refund this time. I don't want refunds, I would like my order packed properly. The customer service department is awful and I will never order from here again

Recieved my item..terrible condition..left 2 messages with costumer support ..still nothing..BEWARE..this company are crooks..I would never order a thing from this place again..company should be ashamed of themselves...garbage

Forbidden planet.co.uk used to be very good. But these days no matter what I order it's the same issue "awaiting stock"
No matter how long you wait, they never receive the stock and don't inform you unless you chase them up.
From now on I will only deal with forbidden planet.com

I ordered two books on the 19th October, paid just under £180 using PayPal. Received a message on 28th October stating that my order would be delivered within 3-5 weeks. Chased the order by telephone mid December, to be told I would probably get a response in January. As no response, and the telephone customer services were not taking phone calls in mid January, started chasing by email from the 19th January, to be told still awaiting stocks, sales department would respond back to me, no response again, chased again this week to be told "Unfortunately I have just been advised that this item has now sold out and we are unable to obtain any further supplies. Please be assured that your Paypal payment will now be refunded. I apologise for any disappointment and inconvenience caused". Never will I use this company again - 3 months of having my order and payment and them obtaining interest on my money and then not to receive the items. Appalling.
