Really uncomfortable shoes. I thought Fly London was an upscale brand but I won’t buy them again!

I’ve been buying Fly London for as long as I can remember. Never had a problem with the boot up until my last two purchases. Both pairs had issues and when I tried to resolve the matter I was basically pushed from pillar to post. Customer services is shocking and they simply do not care. I would no longer recommend Fly London to anyone.

My little review of Fly SALV...

If you`ve never worn Fly SALV leather ankle boots, you are missing out on the most comfortable and stylish footwear experience ever. Ready to wear straight out of the box (thank you) – who want to suffer the `breaking in` period for new shoes. If shoemakers can`t make ready-to-wear shoes, please don`t make shoes. 

Sizing is spot-on (37), comfy rubber soles, soft leather uppers, lining and sock and the iconic Fly branding embossed at the back outside quarter – I love everyone to know I`m wearing a pair of beautifully crafted shoes!   

Uber hard wearing and a breeze to care for, (get matching shoe cream to keep them looking perfect), SALV is the footwear gift that keeps on giving. I am the proud owner of 7 pairs of SALV – I wear them summer and winter.  Work, holidays (yes, even in the Med in Summer), dog walking, to the shops...    

I love to mismatch a pair when I just can`t decide!  A talented work colleague, @ciaoflyer, loved the look and snapped me. I build my growing collection of bamboo socks and me-made dresses to compliment my SALV collection. Work, hols, dog walk & shopping wardrobe all sorted! Please never stop making SALV!

PS Can you please make an orange SALV?  Pantone 152 maybe with white elastic? Or Pantone colour of the year Viva Magenta? With white elastic?

Dreadful experience of online order. Sent from Portugal via Amsterdam, took 16 days. Boots were scuffed and mis-sized. Emails of complaint ignored (no response). Seem to only have one employee, Diane, who doesn't reply. Eventually refunded but the kept my €15 postage. Awful. Avoid at all costs

I have been wearing Fly London shoes and boots for years and then I discovered Asportuguesas too. I normally wear size 35 for both brands (yes, I have tiny feet), and very occasioanlly, I'll wear a size 36.

Anyway, Fly London's website has a sale on this August (Yay I thought) and I bought myself another pair of Asportuguesas slip on clogs in size 35, paying postage on top because it's in the sales. When the shoes came, I couldn't get my feet in, half my heel was hanging out and I really thought this is a faulty pair of shoes. I rang the Fly London shop in Edinburgh (where I have to post the return to) and I was told that I will have to pay for return postage even though I think there's a fault. The shop eventually said that they might consider refunding this return postage and they keep reiterating that this is the risk of buying online.

Anyway, I decided to swap for a size 36 (they did post that for free after I chased it up) and when that came, I just about got my feet in, albiet uncomfortably. I was so disappointed. How can this not be a fault? By this point, I was so annoyed by the whole experience that I just returned the shoes and suffered the loss of 3 sets of postage.

The whole shopping experience with the Fly London website is one of disappointment and hassle, and it felt like how internet shopping was like when it first started. It has left such a bad taste in my mouth.

Conclusion is - do NOT buy anything from the Fly London website. Their shoes and boots are fab but buy them from an actual shop or any other websites. It's just not worth the grief!

They've either lowered their standards or there are counterfeits in circulation, I've contacted them but they do not seem interested.

Cannot make a return because my email address suddenly isn't recognised, nor the order number. Nobody responds to my messages asking for help. The boots are much smaller than all the other 40s I've bought from Fly. I will never buy online direct from this company again.

Totally fantastic. Total Rubbish 🗑comes from 1* . These boots are real leather, and if you could be bothered to extra waterproof them and feed the leather with polish...you could know that...mmmm boots winter...yes you should love them and protect them x and spread the love buy your friends some.

I bought a pair of Salv boots on-line and they were a bit big. I emailed the Covent Garden store and within 10 mins Amy called me and left a message to say they had a smaller size in stock and they would keep them for me and to collect them whenever I was ready.

I went in today and Amy was there and she was just as helpful and nice in person as she was on the phone. Fantastic service.

Nach einem Hin und her habe ich endlich ein schönes Paar Schuhe gefunden und bestellt, leider stimmte die grosse nicht, also Retour , auf mein Geld warte ich vergeblich, werde mich am Montag leider an eine Institution wenden müssen. 160 Euro verschenke ich nicht.

I have been a fan of Fly London shoes for about 10 years. Lately my purchases have been hit or miss because of the seemingly random sizing. For a company this popular - sizing should have been sorted by this time.

I always found the products good but generally bought from Amazon. This time I went via head office. I bought a pair shoes then decided to send back and get a voucher. Shoes got back, trying to get hold of anyone in head office was a joke! The manager at Covent Garden acted like an entitled child when I tried to ask her. Finally after finding out that Portugal had a national holiday so this was the reason there was no answer on the phone; why not put this on your phone messege? A very nice woman helped me out. With the redemption of a 20% discount on my next order! But beware of going to Covent Garden; the manager is very self entitled!

Beware of buying Fly of London on line. I brought via Uk site in January , horrified to discover being sent from Portugal , looks like stuck in Holland via DPD tracking and Fly have replied to 1 of my 7 emails , will never buy from them again looks like £74 lost and that’s not including charges if I finally get them! Appalling customer service really sad as I love fly footwear !

Sole coming off boots after about 10 wears. So disappointed as these were leather boots and looked good quality. Was pleased with them on purchase. Comfortable, great colour and nice thick soles. I thought I'd let others know in case the soles coming off are a common fault with Fly boots.

I ordered a beautiful pair of shoes, which arrived a few days later. Unfortunately, although they were perfect in terms of quality and style, they were far too big. When I looked online to organise a return I discovered that there were no free returns (my bad for not checking). What they did not state clearly, however, was that I would have to pay to return them to Portugal, not their store in London. Also, I only had 2 weeks to do that. Also, when I tried to organise this through their website, the returns button you are supposed to click does not work. Also, their customer support chat assures you of a reply within a few hours. I have been waiting days for a reply. If you like their shoes, go to London to try them on - don't buy online.

When I bought from them I was a bit skeptical as the website design is not updated and the overall look and feel doesn't seem to be in line with a brand that charges 150 euros for a pair of boots. Also, after placing my order I received a confirmation, which is what you'd expect, but days passed and I didn't hear anything from them in terms of delivery. Emailed their CS asking for a tracking number just so that I can verify that I'm actually getting something for the money paid. I did receive a proper reply with proper information which calmed me down knowing that I haven't been scammed haha the next day I received my order in perfect condition! The product is also exactly as described and ordered. What I'm trying to say here is that the website and company are trustworthy so if you find a great deal on their website don't hesitate in placing your order :)
