Do not buy Flode

Do not buy Flode! They pretend there is a warranty in place but find ways to wriggle out of it.

Here is my story about that ...

Bought a Flode Bojig for light use in a small cafe, used once per day. Had it installed in October by a qualified plumber. Cut to March, I found it not working, no one knows when it stopped working (that light use again!).

Call the plumber out, he says it is a mechanical manufacturing problem with the tap mechanism.

Go to Flode, they look into it and tell me I haven't changed the filters every six months so the warranty is void.

Six months would have been up at the end of April, this stopped working in March. When we switch the heating unit on, the filter light is still green suggesting it does not need changing yet (probably due to its light use).

The issue is mechanical, the button on the tap lever presses but nothing happens when pushing the lever back - no resistance, no click, no second position. Hence no hot water.

If this is what you get for supporting British manufacturing then give me Europe/China/India instead.

You have been warned!

Faulty Taps & Terrible Customer Service

Wish I had checked reviews here before purchasing a Flode Runda tap via B&Q trusted seller scheme. The tap began to leak shortly after installation and Flode have just fobbed me off with nice emails. I’ve had two plumbers check the tap and both confirmed the tap was faulty. Flode just want more pictures and seem to be blaming my water pressure, which is fine with the other 10 taps in the house!
B&Q should really reconsider having Flode as a ‘Trusted’ Seller as this is tainting their image.

Total rubbish

Total rubbish
Purchased a 3in1 tap, arrived quickly.
Fitted the tap for it to start leaking within a few hours.
Videos sent to flode and they tell me the tap is faulty so a replacement will be send.
I questioned how the tap can be faulty and not the boiler unit.
Anyway new tap arrived and fitted for it to be exactly the same.
This was purchased via B&Q who are even worse at taking no liability and are another company that should be avoided.
B&Q had advised me to dispose of the faulty products as the company won’t want them back.
So I ask for a refund and oh what a surprise the company want them back now!
Wish I had read these reviews before ordering

Outstanding service

Ordered a tap on Monday, arrived Tuesday !!! Really good quality product and outstanding service, wasn’t expecting my tap till Thursday !!

Tap is good. Customer Service is awful

The tap itself is good. Unlike the other reviews, ours hasn’t broken.
But when customer service is rude, condescending and unhelpful and they tell you your warranty is void due to not changing the filters in time despite the fact that they have been sold out every time we have tried to buy them…….

Not recommended. Definitely buy from another manufacturer.

With regard to the filters, replacement cartridges have remained available for purchase via our website as well as through major retailers. Regular filter changes are required to maintain performance and to keep the warranty valid, as outlined in our care and warranty guidelines. That said, we understand that sourcing parts can sometimes be frustrating, and we’re always happy to assist customers in locating stock where needed.

Waste of time

I purchased the unit and then fitted a few days later only to find ileaked within the unit so I returned it and eBay returned my money

Buyer beware

We have had our boiling water tap 18 months and it has started leaking from the underside of tank contacted customer service which you can no longer do by phone and they say our warranty is void due to not changing filter often enough I have told them we have a water softener so have 0 limescale but this doesn’t seem to make a difference to them any excuse to wriggle out of replacing the water tank

Filter replacement is a requirement of the warranty, not only to reduce limescale, but also to maintain overall system performance and protect the internal components. While having a water softener can certainly help with limescale, the filter performs additional functions beyond scale prevention, which is why regular changes are part of the warranty terms.
We also appreciate that the removal of phone support may feel inconvenient. We moved to a written support system to ensure all cases are properly documented and handled as efficiently as possible, but we’re always committed to reviewing each case fairly and in line with our policy.

Stay away

Look nice in the photos but the products are cheap and nasty; appalling after-sales service. Bought a boiling water tap. Tap arrived broken and needed replacement. Replacement tap subsequently broke anyway and then boiler unit cracked within one year of purchase. Customer service refused to replace or repair.
