Great service

Did not wait too long for my order to arrive . Arrived on time . Carefully wrapped and now drinking out of snoopys mugs . They brighten our day . Thank you fat buddha.

family owned business, clean delivery, no issues! and the vegetarian haribos were a treat :D honestly would order from here again as the value was the best, also glad to know that my product has warranty with the official brand as this store is verified!

Useless customer service and utter contempt for customers

Ordered a pair of Redwing shoes along with a couple of shirts from them on Thursday 8th Jan totalling £453. it said that orders over £150 ordered before 2:30pm would be sent out with DPD for next working day delivery, so Friday. By Friday I hadn’t heard anything from them so contacted them via their website and said that I understand there’d been a storm so wasn’t bothered about a bit of a delay but do they know when it’ll be sent out. At about 4pm I received an email from DPD saying they were expecting a parcel. Great. Unfortunately they still haven’t received it and it’s now Tuesday 13th. I had a shambolically slow reply to my original email on Monday from someone called Aime saying they’d speak to the web team and get back to me. They never did. I’ve reached out via email now a further 2 or 3 times asking for it either to be sent out or refunded and they’ve completely ignored all of them except for an automated reply saying they’re working through their emails. So tomorrow morning I’ll have to start a charge back with my credit card provider. Awful company who treat customers with contempt who I wouldn’t recommend using.
Update: after informing them I wanted a refund or I would start a chargeback they didn’t refund me and instead sent the items out. They didn’t email me to inform me of that so the first thing I knew was when DPD said they’d be delivering today and I’m not there. Shambles.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m genuinely sorry for the delay with your order and for the poor communication around it.

This was not handled as it should have been. A DPD label being created can make it look as though the parcel is already moving, but it only means DPD have been notified to expect the parcel. In your case, the order should either have been dispatched sooner or you should have been clearly updated and given the option of a refund before it was sent.

I also completely understand how frustrating it is to receive a vague reply saying we’ll check with the web team and then not hear back. That is not the level of service we want to give, especially on a £453 order.

What I would say is that this was not contempt for customers. We are a small independent business and, at the time, we were dealing with weather-related courier disruption and a backlog of customer emails. That explains the delay, but it does not excuse the lack of clear follow-up.

I’m sorry again for the inconvenience caused here. We have since made changes to improve how online orders and customer emails are handled, because we know this experience fell well short of what customers should expect from us.

Ordered a fleece

Ordered a fleece on the 5th of December. DPD driver then took a picture of behind the building I live in - clearly stole it as no further action was taken to deliver it. Contacted FatBuddha - who are impossible to get ahold of, by the way, spoke to the most condescending salesperson who was unhelpful. Only just got a refund on the 9th of January when I wanted the fleece, but no stock..

We're really sorry that this happened with your order, and we completely understand how frustrating it must have been, especially when you wanted the fleece rather than a refund.

From what you've described, this was raised with DPD as a delivery issue, as the parcel showed as delivered, but the proof of delivery clearly did not resolve the matter. Unfortunately, when a courier marks a parcel as delivered, we have to follow their investigation process before we can take final action, which can be slow and is largely outside our control.

That said,we'ree sorry that you found it difficult to get hold of us and that your experience with us felt unhelpful. That is not the level of service we want anyone to receive.

By the time the claim was resolved, the fleece was no longer available, so the only option left to us was to refund you in full, which was processed on 9th January. We appreciate that this was not the outcome you wanted, and we’re sorry again for the delay and inconvenience caused.

Not worth the hassle, choose a reputable supplier.

Ordered a coat that arrived without tags/ new product label which meant I couldn't return it for the next size up.

Unfortunately I dont have a leg to stand on because how can I prove that.

Probably a great physical store, but I'd just avoid online purchases.

We do understand how frustrating it is when something doesn't work out size-wise, especially when you simply wanted to exchange for another size. For returns, we do need items to be returned in a resaleable condition with the original tags and product labels attached, as this is also what our suppliers and future customers expect from us.

We're pleased to hear you see value in the physical store, but we're disappointed that your online experience didn't match it. We are a small independent business, and we're continuing to improve our online processes so that customers receive the same level of care online as they would in-store.

Glad i found this store

Glad i found this store. Used a couple of times now and really like the products.
Service and delivery has been great, had to return a pair of boots with no problem which gave confidence to purchase more items.
Much prefer to use a smaller independent shop, highly recommend and great selection of products.

We couldn’t find a particular item a…

We couldn’t find a particular item a short time before Christmas to buy online….Fat Buddha had it ..!! We got it in good time , no added costs , a little treat with it. Try Fat Buddha every time before Amazon which didn’t have what we were looking for. Thank you! Will definitely be shopping with them again.

Great service

Great service, got a really good price on my bag in the Black Friday sale, so ordered a little something else. Good price for delivery and items come quickly and exactly as described. Would recommend this company and would definitely use again. Great selection of products.

Poor operation

Placed an order, paid for next day delivery & was contacted on the delivery day to say they were out of stock. Not good enough. I’m now left with no present for my husband. So disappointing.

You're absolutely right to be disappointed. When an order is placed with next day delivery, you should not be contacted on the delivery day to be told the item is out of stock. That is not the level of service we aim to provide, and we fully understand how frustrating and inconvenient this must have been.

We have recently made changes to our online stock and order processing to help prevent this happening again, but that does not change the fact that your experience was poor. We apologise sincerely for the disappointment caused and for leaving you without the gift you had planned.

No after-sales support at all

I bought jeans from them, the jeans were faulty, they've ignored my emails and when I phone it goes straight to answerphone - avoid using online, there's zero after sales support

Update - they did eventually respond and completely sorted my issue. I guess was just a bad time of year. Yes I would use them again

That isn’t the level of service we want to give, and I completely understand how frustrating it is when you’re trying to resolve a faulty item and can’t get a clear reply. We’ve had some pressure on our online support recently, but that doesn’t excuse you being left without help.

I’m sorry again for the poor experience, and for the difficulty getting through by phone. Our online team is best reached by email so there’s a clear record of the issue, but you should still have had a timely response.

A month after my order and still no item or refund

I ordered a pair of gloves from this site on the 17th November and when I received them they came up a little small so I requested an exchange and sent the item back. After waiting over a week I still hadn’t received my new item so I contacted them by email, I receive a reply that day saying the item was under the amount of money for an exchange and I would instead need a refund which I agreed to. Three weeks on and still no refund even after speaking to a member of staff who said he would escalate the issue to his manager. The phone now no longer gets answered and no matter what option you choose you just get sent to the shops answer machine. I have now had PayPal issue me a refund as they too haven’t been able to contact the shop.

Stay well clear of this place!
