Had car booked in for its first mot the gentleman who booked it in was professional polite helpful. He was very friendly offered a courtesy car. Didn’t need it for long as car flew mot. Excellent service

I purchased a car from Finlay Hill. He is a nice young man and very knowledgeable about cars.

Initially in person discussions about delivery of a car from the Vauxhall Walsall were promising with delivery of the car set to be up to 5 days after purchase (due to bank holiday). A great deal was made and we left happy.

Cue to 3 weeks later and I still didn't have the car in my possession after needing a quick turn around sale. The car arrived at the Cardiff store dented, scratched and chipped; not a good look. When told this was the case, I was ensured an investigation was to occur into the circumstances that lead to this, management would contact me and my car would take priority to be restored and in my possession that week.

After not hearing from management or Evans Halshaw Cardiff all that week, I emailed to ask for updates. In the email it was noted the car cosmetics would be done by Friday for a pick up early the following week (this was now from 3rd may - 18th may). I placed a complaint in regarding this service as I was receiving little update unless chasing and no further idea of when i could pick up my car. As a result, management contacted me via email 5 minutes later.

The email from management simply looked like a copy and paste from discussions with another employee and supported me no further in what to do next. Fastforward to this Monday 18th when i asked for clarity on where my car was, why management wasnt speaking with me and how the car had been left in this state and i'd been informed no work had been done on the car, they were still unaware how it arrived in this state and if i wanted compensation to speak to head office.

Since then, I contacted Motor Trust Blackburn for a similar car, and they hand delivered it Wednesday, this process took place from 6pm Monday - 5pm Wednesday and I've had nothing but great communication and trust with them.

To say i'm disappointed would be an understatement. For anyone looking to buy a car, i'd run the other way and don't look at getting the Vauxhall Crossland X (LR70 SUF) in orange because they probably won't tell you what state it turned up in to begin with.

I purchased a used car and the customer service I received from Rhys Ebdon was outstanding, I came over from Bristol & nothing was to much trouble his patience taking time to go through the car showing me how to connect with it, plus sorting the paperwork, a credit to the company.
I would recommend them if your looking to buy a car

Customer service was poor as car was ready 2 hours before I was informed. The issue was no chasing from the customer service person. Also, no health check received despite it being listed on the invoice.

Staff was understanding , customer service was good , only thing branch never done compared to other branches when car is in garage they send customer a video of what happened with out come .

I took my Corsa e in for a service today and handed key in to Rhys at the service desk. What an absolute pleasure it was to meet him. He was so courteous and helpful. He promised to ring me when the car was ready and gave me an estimate time. When I went to collect the car he went over the service report and explained everything very simply to me. I thanked him for his help and left to get my car. Regrettably I couldn't find the car in the busy car park so had to return to the desk. Rhys leapt into action,took my key ,went off and found my car. He was dismayed that the service team had not vacuumed the footwells so he went off and sorted that for me.
I felt very well looked after and will hopefully continue to use Evans Halshaw in the future. Thank you Rhys for "going the distance" .
