Have used Evans Halshaw for many years to buy my cars. They have always been very friendly, trustworthy and helpful. This time a young man called Callum dealt with me, he kept in touch, sent all the paperwork over so that all I had to do was pick up my new car. Will always use this firm. Only gave it one star but doesn’t deserve that!
Such poor service. Car went in for a service and the girl wrote that I had complained about a creaking noise when turning wheel. I did not and that took an extra hour looking for it, on top of the 3hours!! for the service. Drove the car home and it now has noise which they will not look at for 3weeks!!! And then I have to sit all day. I will never have another Renault car.

Bought a 2018 Range Rover Evoque from my local Durham branch. Amanda helped get the car moved from another branch and answered any questions I had. Warranty could be better without having to spend more!

I bought my car from Evans Halshaw Durham 3 years ago. I took out the Emac service plan at the time. For 3 years I have been really pleased with everything. Communication is first class and the staff are all very polite and respectful. My car was very well cared for. Each time it was given back to me sparkling clean. I was particularly impressed by the fact that it was possible to have the car picked up from my home if necessary.
I sold my car recently because I got a mobility car so had to cancel the Emac plan. This was a very straightforward and easy process. Kim Thomas-Lee was a pleasure to deal with and talked me through everything.
Top marks to her and all of the staff I have dealt with over the years. Thank you all.

Just bought a Duster Prestige only to find it does not match the spec in the brochure. Evans Halshaw say it is because mine is an MY21 not an MY22 but the brochure does not mention either of these. Evans Halshaw at no point told me that my car would be a different, lower spec than the brochure. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. Make sure that you are getting the spec you expect before buying as Evans Halshaw will not tell you until it is too late. I have emailed you regarding this and what I think Evans Halshaw should do to rectify it. UPDATE. Just had Evans Halshaw on the phone. There only solution is that they order me a duster which matches the spec for delivery in about 5 months at which time they will value my car and I can pay extra for the correct spec. This means I will have to pay more for the car I believed they were selling me in the first place and I will lose money on the car they have already sold me. Pathetic customer service. Looks like I will have to involve the Motor Ombudsman. STAY CLEAR OF THESE PEOPLE OR BE PREPARED TO CHECK EVERY ITEM LISTED ON THE SPECIFICATION IS INCLUDED WITH YOUR VEHICLE.
UPDATE: The dealership want me to pay £400 to get the specification of car I should have already had. I have raised a case with the Motor Ombudsman instead, next step is seeing a solicitor.
UPDATE2. This company just gets worse. Turns out they are not an accredited organization with the Motor Ombudsman and do not subscribe to any of their Codes of Practice. They obviously think they can do whatever they want without any comeback from us the customers. Time for Legal intervention now. I think win or lose it will end up costing them more than if they treated their customers right and gave them what they should have got in the first place, the bill for time lost, resources and solicitors will be expensive plus the bad publicity. TOTAL SCAM ARTISTS

Went to view a car here today, over £13,000 so reasonable amount to pay for a 2nd hand car, I have never seen such a filthy car up for sale, Scruffy inside with dogs hairs all over, and it stunk. Told they would valet it but really!!! who wants to test drive something like that. You would have thought it would be clean for people to view. Also advertised on pictures with tow bar and on viewing the car it had been taken off. Disgusted
