Overall a pretty awful experience. Firstly dreadful communication, left me and my partner hanging around for ages outside the airport waiting for them. Eventually he did show but had a very bad attitude towards us.
However the car worked fine and didn’t have any issues with it, dropped it back off and got a transfer to the airport.
Shame I they had a bad attitude and left us waiting.

We used Elephant rent a car and on the way back to drop off the car we stopped at a supermarket. Someone bumped in the back light of the car with their shopping trolley resulting in a small break to the left back light and a few barely visible scratches. Elephant rent a car completely exaggerated the damage charging us £750.00. Such liars and exaggeration saying there was more damage also to the front bumper which was impossible. Such thieves and scammers.

I had a parking collision that caused marks on the door and the mirror. Despite this, they decided that the cost was 1.150€ so they refused to return my part of €900 security deposit and even demanded additional payment. When I requested a detailed, written breakdown of the costs to review them, they declined to provide any documentation. The owner start shouting me and threating me "when you learn to drive come back" he said...

Flat tyre once - car changed within an hour and we were in a villa in the middle of nowhere!
This time husband accidentally req a manual instead of automatic - changed several hours later (during daytime hours) no problem at all. Have already booked for next hols too

Excellent service and great clean car. Staff superb and made picking up easy. We have used Elephant several times now as they are the best. We have tried others before but will always use Elephant. We hired a car in Paphos with Elephant that was delivered to our villa and we returned it back to their office in Paphos. Everything ran smoothly as planned, the car was in great condition, the guys were very friendly and helpful. We returned the car to their office and they dropped us at the airport, 20 mins in total. Very efficient. Would recommend.

We hired a car through Elephant Car Hire in Timi, Cyprus as we do each time we holiday in Cyprus once again great customer service. We were taken to the hire showroom where we were shown our car we were going to have for our 12 day stay. The car was in good condition with no problems at all for the duration of our holiday. We will be using Elephant Car Hire again when we come over next year they are great and very helpful.

Great customer experience in Cyprus. We hired 2 cars in Paphos. Picked up at the airport by a waiting Ray, who collected our bags, and took us to the office. He couldn't have been more helpful, and chatted about the island. Such a credit to the company. An efficiently run service, and so so much better than other car hire companies we have used. We'd use them again

Hired a car earlier than our flight landed. We got to the airport a few hours late only to be told that the booking was cancelled and no refund or amendment could be made. This does not make sense! If you make a booking, paid upfront in full, surely the vehicle you hired is yours for that period, no matter how late you arrive. The customer service was extremely unprofessional and of little help, just gloating that they have cancelled you booking and you lost all your money. They are quick to point out the terms and conditions. Easy money, with no effort, this must be the scam of the century! They fail to make you aware of the 'no show' policy when you make the booking but hide this in there terms and conditions as they know that this easy money to be made.

Do not refund full deposit and when in a rush to leave , have no choice but to dispute transaction in return home

Avoid these guys , trying to save €50
will cost you a lot more and you will have a sub standard vehicle

Used Elephant for a 18 day car hire. I was impressed with how quickly I was picked up from the airport and transferred to their depot. Processing was as quick as I have experienced. Every thing was as quoted and the fuel policy and car washing explained. No hard sell on insurance.
The car was fine and performed well. They also send photos of the car so there is less chance of any issues of disputed damage upon return.
Car return was as slick as pick up. I will use them again next time i am in Cyprus.

We have used Elephant car hire since 2019 cannot fault them , whilst there in 2019 they showed us round there two beautiful villas . They were exceptional and since 2019 have never stayed anywhere else . They are a lovely family who cannot do enough for you nothing is ever to much trouble . The first time we stayed arrived very late at night and got lost on our way to the Villa , we called the owner even though it was so late he stayed on the phone with us till we arrived . Needless to say we have no problem finding it now . They are such a lovely caring family and although there are many villas available we will never stay anywhere else or use any other car hire firm .

Absolute scam, I booked a car then found out from the pick up centre that they didnt have the car i had paid for. I was unable to contact Elephant car hire and was charged £45 cancellation fee after booking a product i did not recieve.

I have used this company 7 times on visits to Cyprus and found them to be very reliable, helpful and honest in their dealing with me. They have never let me down and are always on the end of phone if you have a problem,
unlike some of the big car hire operators.

Excellent car Hyundai i35, clean and with a good child car seat. Efficient pick up system even though we didn't find the agent at first as he was outside with another customer. Extremely helpful at the airport and helped to pack our cases in the car which we really appreciated. I missed the petrol arrangement of 37 euros for half a tank of petrol in the info.,but have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Someone had scratched the rear bumper (probably parking on a car park)
But the company informed me they couls polish the scratch out and ther would be no charge ! By other larger companies had I probably hat to pay for a complete bumper respray

Please be aware of this BAIT & SWITCH scam company! I made a rent a car booking via Elephant. In order to make a deposit payment you are being processed through a 3rd party #CarTrawler. You will have no idea that you are even dealing with #CarTrawler until you get a voucher. #Cartrawler withdrawn 2 deposits and two final payments from my credit card (without any permit). As soon as I figured it out, I cancelled the booking (three days in advance). I have not received the refund. When I complained customer service refused to cooperate. If I haven't cleaned my account, they would continue taking the money. Even if Elephant engaged another company for money transfer this should not release them from the responsibility!

Excellent company to deal with. Always return emails. things happen very quickly at the airport. i did manage to hand back the key at the airport but they have an unusual place to leave it if they are not there. Unable to check for damage in the dark. I was concerned about the scratches and dents I found the day after. Need not have worried. Half a tank of fuel when you get the car which you pay for at the airport. The 200 euro deposit is a bit slow in being returned but this is due to the bank. All that said I would recommend this company for car hire.

Auto gehuurd via deze oplichters voor Sulawesi.
Boekingscode gehad en daarop stond hoe laat en waar we de auto konden ophalen.Op het vliegveld in Makassar dus....
We hebben gewacht en gewacht, ook geprobeerd ze te bellen maar kregen geen contact.
Het opgegeven nummer bleek niet in gebruik...Kortom geen auto en een vakantiedag naar de vaantjes.
Gelukkig via erg vriendelijke hulp op het vliegveld alsnog een auto kunnen huren , zei het met uren vertraging.
Ben benieuwd of het bedrag toch wordt afgeschreven.
Zal wel weer een hoop gedoe met zich meebrengen.
Het opgegeven nummer van Elephant was trouwens ook niet te gebruiken vanuit Indonesie....

Kortom ik boek hier niets meer !

I always use this hire company when I travel to Cyprus and I will most likely use them again the only thing they changed this time was they took an extra 200 euros from my credit card and said that when the car was returned they would return the 200 this worried me as when you return the car you just lock it at the airport then go home with nobody to receive the car but when I got home and checked my credit card every thing was fine
