Bought a Volt Pulse for a 12 mile-a-day commute. In my forties and 20lbs overweight so hoping this will help.

Lyle and his company were fantastic. I emailed them to say I needed Friday or Saturday delivery and they suggested they deliver to a local bike shop and pay them to set it up for me. I live virtually opposite Lockes in Sandwich so this made a huge amount of sense.

VERY happy with my bike. Paired with a set of Red & Black "Ortlieb City Rear Roller" panniers it really looks "the business". Pleased to say you still have to put some effort in to maintain a steady 25km/h - but the motor is amazing - really puts a smile on your face - and the ability to cruise on the thumb-throttle whilst you get your breath back is great. Also can admit I enjoyed overtaking some racing bikes on a hybrid as an overweight 40-something perhaps a little too much :-)

Great product. Great company. Highly recommended if you can afford it - can't see how you would be disappointed.

I was very impressed with the help and assistance received when we went to visit the showroom at London Bridge, and I wasn't pressurised into buying anything. In fact we came back on another day, as it was pouring with rain the first day, and I was allowed to try out the bike around the local roads. Also as I am quite short I tried the bike with 2 different saddle and seatpin combinations to make sure what felt the most comfortable. We were impressed with the quality of the bike and the components on it. When the chap delivered the bike he went through everything with us again, and made sure we were happy with everything before he left us. I would most definitely recommend them to anyone thinking of buying an electric bike.

Full enjoyable discussions took place prior to purchasing my Alpine X 'E' MTB with both Lyle and Piers of the Electric Bike Store. It was delivered by special 'Volts' delivery Service at no cost to myself (customer). One little problem did occur - the front light was not working on the Bike so without hesitation, and at 'Volts' insistance, Piers from the Electric Bike Store very quickly delivered an exchange Alpine X 'E' MTB. At the same time he spent a considerable amount of his time explaining fully the Alpine X MTB operation details.
You could not ask for better service from the Electric Bike store, via Lyle and Piers Company Representatives.

I was going to buy a Volt Metro for my wife, who finds it difficult to keep up with me on road trips out on our mountain bikes. I arranged a test ride at the local dealers and it instantly put a smile on my face , so I decided to buy myself one as well !! The bikes are quality built, and a pleasure to ride, whilst easy to fold up and stow ( albeit a little on the heavy side compared with a standard bike due to the battery). First trip out we tentatively decided on a ride around the northern half of Windermere planning to return to Bowness on the ferry - a journey of around 15 miles. We enjoyed the bikes so much and didn't feel we'd put in any real effort ( because the pedal assist is really just like an extra set of gears) , that we decided to do the full circuit , clocking up 33 miles! It felt like a real achievement and whilst these are folding bikes with 20in wheels they coped on the lanes and by-roads without issue. As the days are now shortening I'm using mine for the occasional daily commute to work benefiting from the handy carrier / rack and lights which come as standard. Only issue so far has been a faulty pedal which was replaced with a better quality pair without question. I'm becoming quite an evangelist for these little bikes and can't recommend them highly enough. Just bear in mind that if you are thinking of buying an electric bike and surfing the net for the best deal as we all do, that this is a British company with an increasing string of dealers who go out of their way to address any issues or queries - you may not find that if the one that's made in China you bought off the 'net goes down. So well worth the premium price tag in my view.

We bought the Volt Alpine for my wife so we could go cycling together again, something we haven't done in years. The reviews of the bike looked good and we bought one following a test-ride. The delivery arrangement was through a third-party bike shop who took delivery of the bike and assembled it. Their first question to me was "was this an ex-display model" as there was a sizable chip on the frame. Volt responded well, knocking something off the price and adding a free lock. The bike itself has been fantastic. We cycled 56 very hilly miles on one charge and my wife now has a big smile at the top of each hill. Looking forwward to trying some off-road routes next.

What a great experience I had right from the first moment I telephoned you! I could immediately see that the person to whom I spoke really knew his stuff. No question was considered too trivial, and most important of all there was no hard sell. He told me all about each bike I mentioned and then put me in touch with a local branch as I'd decided to buy a Volt Pulse.
The person at the local branch was equally friendly and informative when I placed my order. I was kept informed about the progress of my purchase every step of the way during the 7 days I had to wait as the bicycle wasn't in stock at the time. On the day of dispatch I was given an actual time of delivery.
The good stuff didn't stop there either because when it arrived the delivery person fixed on the pedals and then had me riding up and down the street, each time advising me to try out a new feature. He stayed with me for at least 30 minutes.
Better still he had a spare saddle bag with him for me to purchase when I happened to mention I wish I'd ordered one. The transaction was done on the spot.
It seems nothing is too much trouble for this company and I have no reservations whatsoever about recommending them.

As for the bike itself, it is every bit as good as the advert claims. Riding back from work up a steady incline for a few miles is now almost effortless.

Volt bike is really amazing. I live in Enfield and work at Knightsbridge. This long distance I cover by my volt Pulse bike. Whatever, the weather or road conditions are, it doesn't matter. I enjoy my cycling without any tiredness. I love my bike.

i am very pleased with the volt pulse electric bike i am diabetic and need to keep fit so i ride the bike most days from sidcup kent to peckham london would recomend this bike thanks electric bike store keith sykes

Bought a bike in August from the guys so easy ,very helpful delivered to door in York super !

It was a really well thought through decision to buy an electric bike, and from that #electricmary, a very special Volt Burlington was born.

She has even started a blog and we are in danger of taking this all far to far indeed!

Good company and provided all the required information prior to the sale.

The Volt Pulse pedelec bicycle has been a revelation. It does everything claimed. Steep hills are easily climbed, the controls are childsplay and the cycling is fun. I find it doesn't
impair fitness training as the motor is easily turned off and conversely easily turned on
if required. The back light is excellent but the front light is a little dim off road but apart from that everything is brilliant. Its a pleasure to ride.

I have dealt with suppliers who mail you the product and keep a low profile after that.
These people are not like that...they are fully accountable, deliver the bikes fully assembled and all their bikes have the most necessary features, which are multiple gears and a boost throttle that can help you to move off up a hill.

I cannot recommend this provider highly enough.

bike doing great ,only one down side I can see is having to take seat off every time you take battery off to recharge.it would be much better if battery was in a better place,but overall I am delighted with this bike
