Great Service on a complex job! This blockage needed a Dyno engineer, a plumber and a joiner!

Al arrived on time, polite & friendly and got the job done - thank you!

Dyno-Rod caused nothing but stress over what should have been a straightforward issue.

I reported a blocked toilet via my home emergency cover and was told by Dyno-Rod that no one could attend that day, despite me having no usable toilet.

An appointment was arranged for the next morning, but the person who arrived was not a qualified plumber. After a brief attempt to plunge the toilet, they incorrectly concluded it needed to be removed and advised contacting my insurer for further work.

This led to a full day of back-and-forth between multiple companies (Policy Expert, Trinity, Sedgwick, and Dyno-Rod), none of whom communicated effectively. Dyno-Rod then said they couldn’t return for 8 days, completely unacceptable given the circumstances.

I arranged a local plumber at my own expense, who quickly identified the real issue: a blockage in an external pipe, which he resolved immediately via an access point. The earlier recommendation to remove the toilet was unnecessary.

Although the issue has since recurred, it is the same external drainage problem. My insurer again instructed Dyno-Rod, but despite explaining the previous misdiagnosis, they refused to reassess and insisted on the same unnecessary work before attending, again with a long wait time. They were dismissive on the phone and would not escalate my complaint.

Both my insurer and Sedgwick (the intermediary) appeared perplexed by the difficulties caused by Dyno-Rod.

Overall: poor diagnosis, poor communication, and no urgency in resolving a basic sanitation issue. I strongly recommend requesting an alternative provider if possible.

Yesterday, I found my drain completely blocked, spilling out sewage near my back door. I called domestic and general who insures my water, roof etc and less that 12 hours later, Kev from Dyno Rod, came all the way from Edinburgh, some 60 miles away to Northumberland, my home and cleaned out a totally blocked drain. He let me know in advance when he'd be st my home and got to work straight away, What a gem! He couldn't have been nicer, more pleasant, more helpful, more efficient! Can't get over how quickly my home was back to normal . Thank you, Kev. Thank you Dyno rod. Highly recommend.

I’ve had great service from Dyno-Rod as part of my contract with British Gas Homecare. I was very pleased with the work that the Plumber had done but a small issue arose afterwards and when I reported it to British Gas Homecare they did not respond well so I had to raise a complaint which was passed to Dyno-Rod for resolution. They have been brilliant - very understanding and supportive. I was pleased with the initial work but Ive had excellent customer service from Dyno-Rod in resolving the issue.

Fast and efficient with no hassle. Friendly engineer who told me what he was doing.

Dyno-Rod plumber came to fit a new kitchen tap as part of British Gas Homecare and left with two leaking connections under the kitchen sink. He came back to tighten both connections but left without checking or fixing either leak.

Excellent service from Jordan in sorting out a difficult leak on one of our sinks. Also taking ownership of a faulty shower and promising to get a solution. Thank you 🙏

Initial plumber attended to replace the pop up drain in our en-suite sink. He cracked the sink & left without saying.

I saw the damage & reported this to Dyno & they took responsibility for the damage.

They ordered a new sink & the plumber they sent was really good, had an issue getting the old sink off, as it had been previously fitted with glue!!

New tap required due to washer issues. This was ordered & fitted too.

The 2nd plumber I can’t praise enough for his professionalism & workmanship . The 1st plumber has been banned from my house.

Liam and Bryon have completed a number of issues with my outside drainage pipes. I have been kept in the loop at every stage, and consulted about the next steps. An an amazing duo that are person-centred in their approach and trusted to get on with the job.

I made a booking with Dyno-Rod on February 24th 2025, and they gave me an appointment for today (February 27th). Yesterday, I had a call from a customer allocation agent detailing the costs involved (£110.00 an hour + materials), and this was repeated to me again as if I may not be able to afford it (I am British-Asian). I said that this was fine and was anticipating a plumber today.

About an hour ago, I got a call to say that the plumber would not be arriving as he was on another job - and they couldn't get me anyone else. A nationwide service advertising 24/7 availability should have more than one plumber, surely. (And the earliest they could get another plumber is either Monday or next Friday. It is probably for most people to secure local SME plumbing companies rather than nationwide companies that run on a tight cadre of plumbers).

Everything well explained and double checked, as old parts had rusted and were difficult to remove. And because they are attached to Scottish Gas, I feel safer getting them.

Good support responses before booking the order in, during the work and after the work. Plumbing engineer was thorough and knew precisely what to do. Will use the firm again and easy to recommend to anyone.

Workman very friendly and helpful and came when they saus he would. Got the job done in a short time and very tidy

The coupling on one of external pipes burst on Sunday and a plumber was out in under 3 hours, can't fault this service and recommend them.Just make sure you are aware of the rates on a Sunday!Thankyou Dynorod.

We’re very pleased. We used Dyno-Rod through our British (Scottish) Gas HomeCare policy. They were very responsive, and did a really tricky outside plumbing job on a 3rd floor flat. Everything came together really well and we were kept up to date throughout the process.
