Afternoon tea at Dunston Hall, Norwich, Norfolk.
My friend and I went for afternoon tea at Dunston Hall which we decided was certainly overpriced at £20 per person given the quality of the food and the overall service.
Although the sandwiches were nice, if a little on the mean side, the cakes were particularly tired looking and unappealing and our tea and coffee were served without milk and cream, and twice we had to look for staff to help us.
Also, we were served just one helping of jam and cream for the scones which we then had to share which was naturally most unpleasant.
Our waitress, Tracy, did her best to make us feel welcome (even though we were seated in a rather gloomy corner) but we were left with the impression that she was also tidying up, and serving behind the bar as well as serving the teas.
Unfortunately both my friend and I left feeling very disappointed indeed.
