Credit Card sale fraud
FAB senior relationship officer sold Dubai First credit card by passing entire wrong information, saying that card free for life and comes with welcome bonuse etc but hundreds of annual subscription charges applied and on making complaint bank not even entertain complaint professionally, no action and respect to cusyomer at all even you sent multiple emails, systematic response without any human understandinf on your complaint.I really have bad experience with FAB Dubai First, dont recommend to trust them at all.
Credit Card Fraudullent sale with no action by the bank
It is disappointed with the services of Dubai First – FAB which is owned and operated by FAB (First Abu Dhabi Bank). I have been approached by FAB senior relationship officer introducing their Dubai First Cashback credit card, he completely passed wrong information about card just to make a fraud sale, majorly said “card is free for life”, welcome bonus etc; I was convinced and he got filled in digital form and without any bank call or verification they directly dispatched card in few days and card limit was not even up to the mark.
I come to know about this fraud when annual subscription charges applied on my card, I contacted customer service, instead of support or empathy, I was told to pay the annual subscription charges which can’t be reverse as per bank policy, I have again sent complaint form in email detail proof of messages but without any human understanding or investigation a systematic reply received saying that “reversal of annual membership charges has been denied.
This entire experience raises questions:
Ø How can a bank protect such fraudulent activity and impose entire loss/damages on customer?
> Is that mean bank allows their relationship officers to make credit card sales in all means!
> Why do bank not make a verification calls either I am approached by a authentic person
> Where is customer rights & satisfaction when they make complaints?
> Is that bank justice to your customers or do they just protect their staff?
All my given proof clearly shows that FAB sales staff did fraud but unfortunately bank did nothing, so entire damages put on customer, is that right and fair to customer? it is surprising and had a very bad experience with Dubai First - FAB.
DUBAI FIRST - CREDIT CARD PROVIDER WITH POOR CUSTOMER PROTECTION SYSTEM
I noticed my credit card was blocked, and when I checked the app, it showed 3 unknown charges, one of which was from a black market site. I called the bank immediately, asking them to reverse the charges, as the name alone indicated fraud. But the agent told me I had to wait for the merchant to claim the amount—why? It’s clearly fraud, so why wait?
Two days later, I filed a complaint, but after a month, they rejected my dispute, claiming an OTP was sent on May 15, even though the fraudulent transaction happened on June 13. How is an OTP valid for a month? The bank refused to provide further assistance, insisting it was my fault because they sent an OTP, which I never received. They passed this "authenticated" OTP to Sanadak, and once they say it’s been sent, there’s no further discussion, even if the customer didn’t receive it.
Don’t trust this bank. It’s obvious they have a poor customer protection system, and if their system fails, they won’t take accountability. They’ll let their clients suffer because of their own mistakes.
Violating their own Customer Service Charter
They sell you a free card and then hit you with hundreds in fees. The sales agent (Akshay Aggarwal) confirmed twice to me that it was a free card, but like hundreds of others, I was charged membership fees and spoken to horribly when I raised this with customer service. They don't care about you as a customer at all. I tried to raise a complaint and was told by call centre manager Nafees Haider that it is not FAB's policy to provide any response or to record a complaint (we have evidence of this as the conversation is recorded). This is in direct contradiction to their Customer Service Charter and I wrote to them to point this out because there's no other way to get in touch, and they've completely ignored me. Cancelling the card and hoping that one day they'll all be held to account.

Very poor banking experience I took a card from them and I was not informed of the annual fee. Despite spending around 20000dhs annualy, i received a membership fee of 4000 dhs. It takes around 1 hour to connect to a customer caee agent, in which 20mins gets wasted talking to Ai. I lost so much in phone balance itself trying to talk to customer agent. After answering they did not take any action and told me they cant take action on sales representative as it has been a year. One of the worst bank in UAE. They made all false commitments. Mr Mohammed Shoaib told me I will get 1200 joint bonus and annual fee free for my company . However I got first statement with annual fees. When I asked he stopped picking my call . No joint bonus . Vedika Belani is vice president . She also don’t respond . The worst service . Tricked by Dubai First Bank Representative
A bank representative called me from the official bank number on a recorded line and offered me the Dubai First Cashback Card. He clearly stated that the card was free for me and that I would receive an AED 500 card reactivation bonus without any spending criteria—just activation was required.
But in reality, there was no bonus at all. Instead, I was charged AED 418 as a membership fee. I tried to convince the bank, but they simply said that the charges are valid as per their terms and conditions.
In short, it feels like the bank allows its staff to mislead customers with false promises in order to trap them. Otherwise, such cases wouldn’t keep happening. I made the mistake of trusting the bank’s reputation and believing their representative.
In the end, I cancelled the card—because I didn’t want to deal with any more surprise charges. Very disappointed.

I’m very disappointed with the customer care service. I’ve tried calling several times, but no one answers, and the wait times are too long. When I finally get through, there’s no proper help or solution. This is unacceptable they really need to improve their customer support.
Complete Disaster from Start to Finish
Trying to BUY Wi-Fi from DU has been one of the most frustrating experiences of my life.
I ordered the Home Advanced Fiber package over the phone. The rep confirmed everything and said a technician would contact me in 24 hours. No one did. Two days later, I followed up but DU had no record of my order.
So I drove to their Marina Mall store, waited over an hour, and re-ordered. I gave my correct JLT address (twice). The next day, a technician called and he was waiting at IMPZ, nowhere near me. He left, and I was told someone else would contact me. Again, no one did.
This happened again, even after I filled out a form with my full JLT address in CAPITAL LETTERS. The next tech still went to IMPZ. I've spent nearly a week chasing DU, repeating myself, and wasting hours on the phone.
I still have no Wi-Fi, and this has impacted me and my wife’s ability to work from home.
This is more than poor service, this is negligence. DU seems completely incapable of handling a basic order.
If you value your time, peace of mind, and sanity, AVOID DU.

I had a very negative experience with FAB- Dubai First regarding their credit card offer. I was clearly told by the sales agent that the card had no hidden fees, was free for the first year, and that I would receive an iPhone as a gift – or its cash equivalent – after activation. They also mentioned that annual charges would only apply from the second year if I didn’t meet a certain spending threshold.
However, after I activated the card, I was immediately charged AED 420. It’s been almost two months, and I haven’t received any gift or compensation. When I contacted customer service, they told me I should have opened a savings account to be eligible for the iPhone – something never mentioned by the sales rep before activation. They said someone would call me within 3 working days to look into reversing the charges. It’s been 5 days, and I’ve heard nothing.
To make matters worse, the salesperson blocked my number on WhatsApp when I followed up, which is both unprofessional and unacceptable.
This whole experience feels like a bait-and-switch scheme. I strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this bank. Misleading customers and ignoring follow-ups is no way to build trust.

I am extremely disappointed with the misleading experience I had after applying for a Dubai First Credit Card through your online platform.
During the online application, there was no mention of any annual fee for the first year by an agent. However, after my application was submitted and the card was approved, your agent informed me over a phone call that an annual fee would be charged. This was never disclosed upfront on your website or during the application process.
Such practices are unethical and deceptive, and reflect very poorly on your brand. Charging an annual fee without clearly mentioning it beforehand feels like a deliberate attempt to mislead customers.
Based on this experience, I strongly advise others NOT to apply for the Dubai First Credit Card. Customers deserve transparency, honesty, and respect—none of which were demonstrated in this process.

Fraud bank the sales person calls and tells you to apply for the cashback card and promises that it is life time free card and also tells that you will get aed 1500 joining bonus in the first statement... The statement arrived 30 days and then in the first statement itself you get charged aed 420 annual fee and no joining bonus and after complaining in customer care they will tell u new rules which were not mentioned before........
