My experience is at the Scottsdale store on talking stick but it’s the same all over. The company has very shady business practices focusing on over pressuring customers to buy tires before they need to.

Came in with a low tire. Was told tire was too low and could'nt add air because sidewall was damaged which later found out not to be true. They ordered a tire from Phoenix and would be there in 2 hours. After 3 hours said tire wouldn't make it there that day. Offered two new tires from another brand for less. I took it. After 5 1/2 hours finally got them on. A few days later low air light came on in dash. The front two tires were 9 pounds low. Went back and an hour in line to have air added. They lost 2 of my nice aftermarket valve stem caps. A bad experience from a previously trusted and used company.

If you don’t have anything to do with your tire and need sensor replaced by prepared to be on the bottom of the list and wait for 3 hours.

I will never take my cars at big o tires ever again, one of the worker name barnie payed my acima fee and signed the contract without out my approval after I told him I was paying cash, with a supervisor because the way he treated me was very bad,I have proof that acima shared with me! I also spoke with the director Mike and he told me that they paid for the fee and it started my contract, I then called barnie to give me my contract because acima is investigating and he refused. I will never ever take my cars at big o tires! This place needs to be investigated! This happened at big o tires on hunt hwy San tan valley az

We have been using the Discount Tire in Woodstock GA for a good 10+ years and for the longest time never had any problems. They were great! However, since 2022 we have really started noticing a decline in the honesty department and more situations scream scam. Yesterday was my final straw as to why I’m writing this review. I came in yesterday morning for an appointment I had made Sunday evening for a tire rotation/balance, and to get both the front driver tire and front passenger tire patched. Both tires had a small screw in them from what we believe is months of ongoing roadwork in the area. My husband removed the screws and plugged them Saturday evening (today is now Thursday ) refilled the tires with the small amount of air they needed and tested them with the soapy water method to see if the tires were leaking air which they were not. Before anyone at Discount Tire even assessed the situation, I was immediately told that I would automatically need new tires because the “ gummy sticky” plugs are not DOT approved. I had already figured they were going to try to tell me I needed new tires. So it started. He couldn’t find the last time that I purchased tires In the system. BecauseI had started noticing what I believe to be dishonesty, I have documented every time I have come to them since 2022. So I let him know that I would happily pull it up which I did and I let him know I got 4 new tires in March of 2025 at 176,525 miles. He conveniently could find that date on my account at that point. In February of 2026 when I came in for a rotation/balance at 185,220 miles I was told that when I came in for my next rotation/balance I would probably need two new tires. I got home and within the hour called them questioning why it says on their app that my appointment that day was missed even though I had just left there and had gotten my tires rotated and balanced. I wasn’t given a clear explanation, but I was reassured that everything is documented correctly in the system. Keep in mind I am keeping track of every single visit for whatever reason since 2022. At this very moment when I go on the app, every appointment that I have made in the past says canceled, the one from yesterday says missed, and there is not even one documented that I can see on my end for February of 2026 when I was last in. I find that very ironic, considering they base the prorated discount of any possible tires you buy on whether or not you’ve kept up with the proper balance and rotation of the tires that you have bought from them. So that brings me to yesterday when I came in with a milage of 190,031 and 2 plugs that most likely COULD be patched. I’m no tire expert nor is my husband, but he is very knowledgeable on cars/car parts/tires. He happened to call me yesterday when I was at Discount Tire right In the middle of the conversation I was having so I put him on the phone with the man at the front. It was a brief conversation, the man seemed visibly nervous. The conversation ended with them talking about the tread of the tires that were measured ( with that being another reason why I would most likely need new tires- at least 2, we didn’t get that far), and thats when my phone was handed back to me and with my husband on the other end he asked me to leave and he let me know we would find another place. According to my husband after he was told the tread measurements he said “ she doesn’t need new tires and both you and I know that”. Now, could I have needed new tires because of the SMALL screws that were removed and plugged? Possibly. I would have no idea. I will be taking my car elsewhere and updating this post when I get a second opinion, but to tell me I need new tires based on a plug that was used before even assessing the situation (my car never moved from the parking lot nor could you visibly see the plugs my husband used) is very questionable especially after already telling me I would soon need 2 new tires 11 MONTHS after getting 4 brand new tires AND with no visible previously attended appointments for rotations/balances done on the app that costumers use? Hmmmm. You can form your own opinion. My suggestion is to document everything on your own!

I received a call from Discount Tire and an email from customer care. I declined to answer the call as I’m not looking for a resolution. My goal is to make others aware and to encourage educating oneself on the industry. I did reply back to the email and said that as a costumer I expect honest, transparent service and because the current culture prioritizes maximizing transaction size over building authentic customer loyalty I lost total trust in Discount Tire and will be taking my business to competitors who offer a transparent and pressure free service environment. I hope corporate reviews how these aggressive store level profit metrics are actively driving away long term customers.

I highly recommend this business. These people are not amateurs - they are experts on tires and tire wear. They service what they sell. One of my DT tires had a nail. Tire was repaired and balanced correctly. No charge. The business will not try to sell you goods and services that are not needed. The DS service center in Mechanicsville has earned my trust and my business. Arthur Guruswamy

I only purchased two new tires. They said they would put the new tires on the rear of the vehicle as is reccommended. When they finished, the new tires were on the front . I guess they don't even take their own advice!

Cole at the Discount Tire Store in Branson, MO did a super job for us.

Great place to do business. I have used Discount Tire stores in OK, TX and MO and they have all be really good.

Long customer BUT TODAY things will change Discount Tire offers Insurance for your NEW tires. Today I came in w a bolt in the side of Brand new tire. MY INSURANCE for the all 4 tires I purchased HAS TO BE RENEWED. ONCE a Tire has to be REPLACED So WHY did I buy Insurance if it's CANCELED the minute you need a Replacement on 1 tire. Insurance covered the tired till now BUT IF I DO NOT RENEW N PURCHASED ANOTHER INSURANCE I WILL B out of MONEY.
I PAID OVER $300 FOR FIRST INSURANCE BUT IT WILL NOT CONTINUE IF I HAVE TO REPLACE A TIRE FOR ANY DAMAGE THAT CANT BE REPAIRED.

WILL LOOK FOR ANOTHER TIRE PLACE N WILL INQUIRE ALL the small Print

I highly recommend the Discount Tire at the Phillips & Sunbeam location, but I strongly advise everyone to avoid the San Jose location. The staff makes a major difference, and the San Jose branch is simply not it. They take advantage of single women by overcharging. I ended up paying almost $400 for only two tires. To make matters worse, they failed to give me a price estimate before the service began—they only handed it to me after the work was already started. They also told me it would take 45 minutes to an hour, but I was forced to wait 1.5 hours. When I realized what was happening and asked for my keys back so I could leave and go to another shop, the employee claimed he would match the competitor's price. He didn't. When I questioned him about the extra add-ons on my bill, he gave me an attitude and got incredibly rude. Save yourself the money and the headache. Just drive a little further down the road to the other Discount Tire location where they actually treat you right.

Discount Tire allowed their financial partner Synchrony bank to charge me an erroneous fee of 1.99 per billing cycle under the name and brand of Discount Tire. Synchrony representatives informed me that this is to cover a bill printed and mailed to me. The approximate cost to do so under bulk mail for Synchrony is 0.42 postage, print and paper, which means they have created a profit stream of 475%. Read that again, that is not a type-o - a markup of 475%

This massive profit point of 475% is forced upon me as a client, without my express permission or approval.

Synchrony Bank furthermore has a policy that I am forced to figure out how to go online, create an account, and find where and how to select that I do not want paper billing to avoid the 1.99 per month charge.

Now, I have a part time job trying to figure out how to get out of an ongoing fee/charge imposed upon me by Synchrony Bank.
Synchrony representatives told me exactly this, citing that they can not “change” my account status for me, all the while Synchrony indeed changed my account status to mandatory paper billing so that they could make an exorbitant profit margin on billing!

I want to say THANK YOU to Rudy & Sean at discount tire! We had a problem with tires on my caddy!!
We got there not long before closing.
Rudy got the guys in the shop to take care of us promptly.
Sean kept us informed on what was going on ( checking tire in dump tank etc).
They thoroughly checked every possible thing with tires. Discount tire actually kept me from having a blow-out on my way home!!!

Discount tires on Highway 336 N. and I 45 has nothing but good service from start to finish. Will Matt anyone else else’s price and usually beat by 100 or two maybe more
Very professional won’t go to any other tire shop with them

Let me start by saying I was very dissatisfied with the so extended warranty on my new tires regardless of whether I had a tire alignment or not. I made my purchase last year with two new rims and 4 new tires totaling up to $900 one of the tires did not last the life of the tires which should be at least 3 yrs to 5 yrs. And the so call warranty gave no resolution at all. I told the guy there that the tire was in my trunk he looked at it and proceed to examine the others. Now I could have respected that he gave a solution to the tire in question but to come back and tell me all my tires are needing replacing is a not a option. Address the 1st problem then tell me about the others not hit me with replacing all 4 and I just got them less than 1yr and 4 months. I got better service from the dealership even though they advised me that I would come out cheaper getting the tires from Discount tires since that is who they use to order their tires from. At least the dealership would have given some kind of option discounted tires dues to wear and tear or something. I drive a Mercedes and when I went to Discount Tires in Plano I felt I was getting the best tires and warranty. Now I just feel like I was ripped off and feel like I'm getting ripped off again. No woman knows to get the alignment and sometimes a alignment at the time isn't in the person budget so it goes forgotten. But when you close to having a blow out and just so happen I didn't, but my daughter was just on the freeway less than 24 prior to the tire deflating and to have him say that if he present the tire in it condition for replacement it would be declined is totally not what i expected. No options at all just you can purchase a new set of tires. Im totally speechless and not in a good place to make another purchase from your establishment.

SCAM - WARNING!

They tell you that you will get a DISCOUNT on tires if they wear out before a certain mileage. Then when you go to get your discount, they then tell you the tires can't be warn out below a certain level to qualify for the discount. This is the problem with many American companies like Discount Tires, they are despicable scammers who intentionally withhold information until you try to claim their offer just to bait you.

I picked out some wheels and tires for my new truck on their web site. I called the local store before placing the order to ensure I had the correct TPM sensors. The person I spoke to was rude and kept saying "What you see online is correct. You just need to order it online". So I ordered it online. Later that day I get a call saying "We only have 3 of those wheels in the warehouse and cannot get any more. Would you like to pick another?" I said no. Just cancel the order. The next day I tried to order wheels somewhere else but couldn't because Discount still hasn't cancelled the order and issued me a refund. I called customer service and got no where with them either. Don't go to one of these places if you expect anything that resembles service.

I don't think it should take that long to remove the bolts take the tire off the axel, then find the leak with soap and water remove the nail, let the air out remove tire from rim grind down damaged portion where nail impacted the tire, then place patch, place tire back on the rim set it with the cheetah then air it up then place tire and rim back on the axel. So why did we wait a while hour if we had an appointment and this was all that is going to be done to the tire.unless of course they overbooked they're schedule. Then that sounds like poor time management on the managers part.

On 25 July @2026 I went in for a screw in my tire, and a few minutes later the Technician brought my wheel lock that he broke off. I told him to fix it, so he left. Then something told me to go and look, and sure enough, he had all four of my tires off, broke all my wheel locks off my new vehicle, and I asked What are you doing, I told him I am here for the right rear passenger tire with a screw in it. He looked confused, then I went to the front desk and said he does not know what he is doing. Sure enough, they mixed up my vehicle with another Honda. To make matters worse, they screwed up the wheel stud, so I had to take my vehicle to another place to correct what they did. This happened in Virginia Beach; right by the Dam neck Base. The incompetence I witnessed in that store was so bad. Do not go to Discount Tire; they will mess up your Vehicle.

Copperas Cove Texas location worst service ever. After confirming work to be done days before arriving when got there i was told they would not service me. Manager was very aggressive about tires having been purchased at Tire Rack and even called me a liar. Person who confirmed work to be done would not speak up and then decided to use manager narrative. Tire Rack tried to assist as they are sister companies but eventually sent me to a non related facility who did a great job. Never again will use discount tire.
