I had a quote from MKM and was assured I couldn't get it better elsewhere... even after shopping on the web, nothing seemed to match that price i had. I called up Darlaston just to ask a question regarding their porcelain and BOOM! I was trapped! A lovely gentleman named Dan had me shocked, beat the prices and got me my delivery quicker than expected. He's a gem! So glad I called up.

Lay my slabs Thursday, Friday. Slabs turned up
On Thursday but the wrong slabs were sent. After about 10 phone calls I was told the correct slabs would be replaced the following day between 8-11am. At 11am I called again as the slabs hadn’t arrived to be told the truck was doing another drop in a different city. FINALLY after waiting two days a manager bothered to ring me back. To say he was rude is an understatement, he kept saying they’d given me a better slab than I ordered and ignoring the fact they were a different colour AND pattern. After asking me 10 times what do you want me to do about it, he agreed to refund the delivery fee only and not the 300+ pound id paid the builder to stand around twiddling his thumbs waiting for the incompetent idiots to deliver the correct slabs. I would never ever use these again and I’d URGE everybody else to avoid also looking at the other comments

Delivered on time, good quality products, and the delivery driver was extremely helpful. Great service. Thank you!

Order gravel to be delivered. Delivery window is 7.30- 5pm. Called at 4.45 to find out where my order was, was told they would find out and call me back before they closed. I had no call back. Order turned up at 6.15pm. Wasted day. More communication when it comes to deliveries would be great. Even an approximate window which is not given aside from the full day. First time customer won’t be ordering from these again. Paid £17 for the privilege of wasting a day.

Absolute Con! Draw you in with big signs advertising good prices but they don't show VAT! And when I actually went to purchase the person on the till was more concerned with customers walking around the shop than serving me and therefore put the wrong item in. Good job i checked the receipt and then had the 5 minute faff to get a refund. Absolutely terrible first experience and will never use again!! Avoid at all costs. There are much better and cheaper places available.

Very good builders merchants. I always assumed they were expensive until Danish, who I’ve known for many years, recommended I buy from here. He made sure I was well looked after on pricing and even beat competitor quotes. I’ll definitely be using Darlaston regularly for all future projects. Looking forward to doing plenty of business together.

I was due a delivery of blocks and sand today, I rang them was told my delivery is next Tuesday when I had receipt and email for delivery confirmation 20/05/2026.
I asked about delivery and asked for latest delivery I would accept the following day was told that won't happen!
I asked for refund then got part refund email then called them back to address this and complain about attitude and asked to speak with manager, given more attitude then told they were from accounts and when I advised I would be writing a review online I was given attitude comment- I WILL WITHHOLD YOUR REFUND THEN WITH PHONE PUT DOWN ON ME...

Two days before delivery, they called to say they don’t have the garden slabs I purchased!!! They took payment for the order, and the product was in stock at the time of purchase!!! My customer is waiting for the installation, and the ordered goods are missing!!! I do not recommend them!!!

Darlaston had problems delivering my order on the day promised but arranged for the next day. 7.30 pm my ordered arrived they put extra delivery on that night.

We placed an order over £500+ face to face in Darlaston Builders. They gave us the booking, Day and time for delivery. They then delivered our order a day before at a different address. Then when I rang to enquire what time they were delivering my order, they informed me that they already came the day before. The assistant was extremely rude, unpleasant, and disrespectful. How can you be arguing with a customer when you decide yo change the booking day and time without any consultation or agreement with the customer. Then you don't even apologise for your company's mistake.
They then begrudgingly agreed to deliver my original order on the day it was agreed.
They made the delivery driver leave our order until the very last time of the day 18.35pm . They deliberately sent the wrong items in our order. But because we don't want anything to do with these horrible, spiteful people who work there, our builders are professionals and they were able to use what we were given and create the project .
I wouldn't recommend a Dog to shop at Darlaston Builders unless you want to be served by a bunch if unprofessional Moron's.
The only decent professional person they have there is a lovely English lady who knows how to speak with customers and she is wasted there , don't know why she is working for them , she could do so much better any where but that Rubbish company.
