Also, at the bottom of each page, there is a link to the contact page, named ‘Contact CYLEX’
We are really sorry you could not find any of the buttons.
Our services are free, and we try to offer support (by email, social media, etc.) to all of our customers. If you use either of them, we always answer all the requests.

My holiday home phone number was listed as being the local rugby club.As soon as I tracked down Cylex as the source of multiple calls looking for the rugby club I asked them to remove my number from the site which they did within 24 hrs of my request.

Amazingly easy process
I sent an email asking for information to be removed from our listing and got an almost immediate response.
The process was extremely efficient, timely and hassle free.

I had an issue with the Listing for my company. I sent a request for support to their email address, and I thought it would be one of those things that I never hear back from.
But then, within about 3 mins, I had a response! They did everything I asked, and even provided further help on a few things.

updating profile apparently not working - a glitch
Spent what seemed like an hour attempting to update a Lingfield Equine Distance Learning business listing/profile. It was simply a change of address and new info about the business. It just didn't seem to work and on completion of the new info, it would not 'save' the new information when I clicked 'save'. I could find no way to contact. Having reviewed on here I had contact from them and repeated the exercise which worked. FINALLY therefore we have up to date address on Cyclex. Thank you.

False information
I had a phone call asking about my B&B. I moved 10 years ago, my old house was pulled down and I stopped doing B&B!
When I googled B&B in Walton on Thames up came a picture of my old home! The ad said it had been checked 2 years previously......! Cylex obviously has a very odd way of “checking” the truth of the contents on it’s site.
It seems to be impossible to actually contact the company by phone ... but, as they DO seem to reply to negative reviews..... please can I have that that totally misleading advert removed!

Do the planet a favour turn the servers off.
It's the same terrible review process as Google. No one has proved who they are or if they have used the business, incredibly difficult to have a review removed. Hiding behind a really poor policy that typically says they don't do a thing.
I have nothing against bad reviews, in fact, if used correctly can be really constructive. But when they have an agenda the business should be able to have them removed. Or at least remove from the overall score.
Thanks for the feedback cylex it is much appreciated. Also a little disturbing how far you will probe into someone who provides a negertive review.
In the particular instance you refer, how can a meaningful review response be given to something that happened over 2 years ago. The review to which you refused to remove is part of a campaign of disruption. You have mearly allowed it to perpetuate.
Really all that cylex are interested in is driving traffic to the site where advertising space can be sold for a premium, at the expense if an unfortunate business that quite possibly never requested to be part of your directory.
You have even managed to prove my theory on the traffic as you have very skillfully managed to link back to your own site. Fabulous work. Well done! But after carefully reviewing your response, again for which I am grateful, also for the lesson in how to respond. The 1 star review will remain.

Our colleagues sent you an email where they’ve asked you to post a reply to that review because based on your email address and name, they could not determine that you represent the business in case. Hence, you can’t confirm or deny what the review actually states. Cylex provides a space for reviewers to share their opinions. Great concept but incredibly poor implementation
The site is terribly designed, really a bit misleading and not at all user friendly. They make it sound like they will contact local businesses with your request to get a number of quotes. This would be a fantastic service.
In reality the request is posted as some sort of classified board where anybody who logs onto the site can access it. Exactly why anybody other than relevant local businesses should be able to view the information is beyond me. Furthermore, there is no easy way to edit or delete a quote request.
You can also add files to your request, but this isn't made clear until after you've submitted the request. So if, like me, you go to the hassle of adding a link to the files this is unnecessary but again can't be removed because you can't edit what you wrote originally.
The site removes all formatting and paragraphing from your request making it hard to read and just looks incredibly unprofessional.
Finally, there is no information about which businesses have been sent, or reviewed, your request. I've yet to receive a single quote, but I have no idea if this is because local businesses don't want the job, or simply because they haven't seen it. So I'm going to have to manually get in touch with them all myself anyway, begging the question what exactly is the point of Cylex's quote requests?

We try to be transparent with everyone, both the users who ask for the quotes and also the businesses we contact regarding these quotes.
Regarding this statement “In reality the request is posted as some sort of classified board where anybody who logs onto the site can access it.” - have you tried to log in to your user account?
Once the request is posted, we also send our users an e-mail from where you can log in directly if you can’t remember your login details.
