But then Jess Howard took over my file and she was amazing talked me through everything always called me back and returned my emails. She definitely didn't let me get walked over and can not thank her enough!

We sold & purchased with CTW recently. From the moment we were introduced to Andrew, we knew we were in great hands. The set up process for both our sale and purchase was seamless, and the communication from the outset was faultless. Andrew answered all our (many!) queries quickly, and ensured that things ran on time, despite a tight timeline. My experience with this firm couldn't have been worse. I chose to work with them and regretted it countless times because the real estate agency (Charters) involved in my UK home purchase said they collaborated with them, implying the process would go more smoothly. Even though I provided every single document requested over a period of 2–3 weeks, they eventually stopped replying to my messages or, when they did respond, ignored the documents I had already submitted and asked for new things instead. Long story short, it’s a waste of time even if you open up your entire archive going back ten years of bank statements for their review. I found them completely unprofessional. I acknowledge that buying a home in the UK when your funds are abroad is not easy. However, the real issue is that they failed to admit they couldn't handle the job, causing me to waste both time and money. I subsequently engaged a different law firm and received the keys to the house last week; so, it is certainly doable. If your funds are also abroad, don't waste your time with this firm. In response to the email I sent to their complaints department, they simply sent back a generic template email they use for everyone, it was laughable and amateurish. My impression is that they are very unexperienced, incompetent, and lack an understanding of global business dynamics.

Chloe handled our sale we then bought another property but this wasn’t part of the original chain so went through the process twice it was stressful but Chloe kept us up to date & things went through as well as we wanted.

I can't recommend Cook Taylor Woodhouse highly enough. I used them for a linked sale and purchase, and two of their solicitors handled different sides of the chain: Chloe looked after my sale and my purchase, and Mesbah acted for the company buying my old property.

The party at the top of the chain set extremely tight deadlines and threatened to pull out if they weren't met, which could easily have caused the whole chain to collapse. Chloe and Mesbah both rose to the challenge. They worked quickly and efficiently, kept things moving, and completed everything within the time we were given, all without cutting corners.

Chloe was organised, responsive and reassuring throughout, and always kept me up to date during what was a very stressful time. Mesbah was equally impressive on the company purchase, and it was clear the two of them worked well together to get everything over the line.

I have recently used the services of CTW Solicitors.
I am very impressed with the support I have been given by Alexandra Spillett. She has been incredibly kind, supportive and helpful. I have found her to be professional and extremely efficient; I feel she goes above and beyond to help clients and this has been very reassuring.

Their service was exceptional from start to finish. We had all our queries answered and within three months of initial contact we were able to buy our first home. Everything was seamless and the staff and service were truly exceptional. I highly recommend their services.

This was the worst experience I have had buying and selling properties.

First off, you don’t get a solicitor. A ‘supervised’ para legal deals with all aspects of selling the house.

In my case Laura at Maidstone facilitated the sale of my house. I followed all instructions regarding filling out what was required via the portal, including verifying my ID, which they claimed hadn’t been done, despite the portal saying I had completed the task.

I sent everything off in a timely fashion. In May I sent them my bank details. It wasn’t until two days before the exchange date at the end of August that they informed me there was a problem with the account. When I asked why it had taken three months to notify me of this I was told it was because of my ID not being verified. Yet the problem was their end and was resolved within a week.

I was resent a questionnaire I had already completed weeks previously saying I hadn’t answered all the questions. I had, but for some reason she hadn’t read my responses. Again I was told that this was because I hadn’t completed the form properly.

Communication was sparodic and I was not kept up to date with proceedings. When I met the buyers they told me that their solicitor kept chasing them up and the reason given for them being so slow was down to me not providing information.

If you are paying for a solicitor you should get one.
