Had a really great experience with the Crest team. The communication to get everything booked was very easy, with transparency around prices and expectations. Team met turn around time as promised. Report was very detailed and had great advice for things to confirm ahead of exchange. Our family friend who's worked as a roofer his whole career quoted it's one of the best reports he's seen. Extremely happy with everything, and it's given us confidence and an action plan to move forward with the house buying process! Thank you!

I received 4 or 5 quotes & went with the lowest priced which, in advance, was a small concern. I need not have worried - the report was exactly what was needed for probate and the valuation was within a whisker of what an estate agent had estimated beforehand.

Filled in the online contact form asking for a quote for a survey on a 4 bedroom property. 2 days later and no response. Emailed them directly and again no response. Phoned them and was promised a form to fill in (via email) - and again nothing (Still nothing over a week later). Booked with another surveyor in the end!

I had a really great experience with Crest. They carried out a L3 homebuyers survey for me. They were really reasonably priced, prompt in booking in the visit (it was within 48 hours) and got very comprehensive survey back six working days later. Follow up questions - not that there were many as the report was very clear - were answered promptly. Unfortunately my chain has collapsed and so I won't actually be buying the house they carried out the survey for, but I will definitely be returning to them when I find a new property.

I would strongly advise against using this company. Our valuation report contained errors, including an incorrect property value. Despite requesting a correction, the revised report still contained miscalculations. This lack of attention to detail is highly unprofessional, and I will be reporting them to RICS.

DO. NOT. USE. THIS. COMPANY.

A gigantic and blatantly obvious stain on the ceiling was missed out from our survey report that will cost us thousands. It's evidence of a roof leak, easily visible from inside the property, and now we will have to get it repaired with a brand new baby on the house.

What's worse is that, once we complained, they showed that the surveyor HAD photographed the evidence, but for some reason it wasn't included in our report!(?)

The company's complaints process is deliberately difficult and drawn out in the hope that you will never complete it. We are still waiting for a response from our last email 3 weeks ago.

As with a lot of surveys, they cover themselves with caveats of things like "We can only access so much, to know more we recommend a [drain specialist], [roof inspection]" etc. and if this issue was on the outside of the house, I would completely understand. But if there's a patently obvious sign of an issue, inside a room, and we don't get told about it... What is the point of a survey at all!

Now, of course, we are worried about what else this sham operation missed on the survey and how much that will cost.

Please avoid this company!

I used Crest for the valuation of my property and they were very excellent from start to finish. The customer service was top notch and Thomas was very professional during the visit as well. My valuation report took 2 working days and I am very pleased with the overall service. I would highly recommend them.
