We approached connexions for a short term private contract in connection with TV & Film work. From the outset they were professional and delivered what was asked and beyond. We found the drivers friendly and flexible.

The service from this company is absolutely awful, they are consistently late (if they turn up at all). When getting in touch with the company, the representative who conversed with me was dismissive of the points I put forward.

If another bus company was available from my village I would choose that 10/10 times.

I was sat upstairs on doubledecker bus J800CXB when a guy came and sat next to me despite me being the only one sat upstairs. He was chatting to me and making me feel extremely uncomfortable. Fortunately, the bus driver noticed straight away and kicked him of the bus. Brilliant guy Route 13 00076

waited on a freezing cold dark night for 2 hours as a vulnerable 15 year old (with no other form of transport) just for not a single bus to show up i was left worried and uncertain weather i was ever going to make it home that night. went to the bus stop at 4:50pm for bus that was scheduled to come at 5:10pm i was constantly looking at the tracker on the app and no signs of any bus coming. 1 hour later at 6:12pm another bus as scheduled no sign of it. bus finally decided to show up at 7:00pm. absolutely and utterly disgraceful will never be using this service again if i could rate a zero i would. 64 bus service from aberford to leeds.

Connexions Bus 13 service route Haxby to Copmanthrope . Day on 14/07/2025 @ 13.00- 13.15 ish ( I don’t remember exact time Coz I was waiting for No. 5 bus ) Got picked up from Bellfarm bus stop to Stonebow. That bus driver had very rude tone and had a very nasty face while talking to me. First off he doesn’t slow down the bus even though I signalled to stop. Then he did opens the door has a nasty look on his face . I simply asked him If its going to theatre royal, says “No” in a rude tone. Asked him for Stonebow, says “ what??” in a rude tone. Asked him again then finally get a “yes”. Now i show him my NHS card he looks up at me like I’m asking for his personal property. Like of course I’m hoping for discount. Then I tell him ticket to stonebow , he gives a very dirty and egoistic look . Doesn’t have patience when i take bit time for my e wallet to tap. Starts fuming and sighing. Then when i turn to get to my seat as soon as I start walking speeds up the bus without giving a second. Now finally I’m on my seat then again he starts swearing about idk what but I clearly heard ‘ migrants’, while talking with other guy as if I and other passengers don’t exist. He was swearing the whole time driving from Bellfarm to Stonebow. Just in case, I want to say I’m a international person working in NHS. And I will expect the excellent service for myself as much as I dedicate my energy to patients . Just because one is not happy about their job doesn’t mean they openly start bullying the public . I mean we’re in 2025 now , and i don’t think anybody should be allowed to be racist also with that level of stupidity. And bare in mind we’ve got that ‘nasty look’ experience with this number bus with same driver (3 )times along with this. The other 2 experiences were when I was with my partner . But it was more in passive aggressive way. Where as this time he openly starts swearing I don’t how these company manages those kind of staffs and release them in Public. But may be he should go to Therapy or something

unable to contact the bus company through email or phone. In fact the phone number recorded message asked you to please hold, then cuts you off. Joke of a company.

We caught the 1145hrs last Friday from Bournmoor to Houghton Le Spring. The driver deserves praise for helping a lady in a wheelchair to board the bus and he even left the bus to pick up the glove she had dropped on the pavement. He was also happy to answer our questions about where to catch the return journey bus.

64 bus picks and chooses to come at 6:22/24 there is one bus into Leeds from aberford with no for warning of no bus I am getting up at 4 am to ensure I get this bus and to no avail this service is shocking it might be ‘family run’ then maybe you need to get your family out driving the buses so people who require this bus are not late

Yet another occasion when the 923 didn't come through East Keswick, but took a short cut along the A659. We could see him on the tracker, whilst three of us in E/K stood waiting in the rain. And last week the 781 didn't go to Moortown corner but eventually dropped us off 1.4 miles along the ring road. Shortcuts seem to be the thing with Connexions if the driver is running late.

The price of their school bus tickets is absolutely appalling and they should be ashamed they charge this amount. £735.00 and a massive increase from last year. Some pupils are having to pay even more depending on the area. I would love them to prove and justify their actual yearly spend compared to the extionate amount they charge per school year. As a single parent the bursary won't even cover that cost which is also meant to be used for school books and other important items. To exploit parents in this way for profit is disgusting.

I and others beg to differ over Mr Hornby's positive comments about The Harrogate Bus Company.
The way the senior management at Transdev/Harrogte Bus Company operate their X98 Deighton Bar- Wetherby- Leeds- Wetherby-Deighton Bar service is a total disgrace. This is because of the recent frequent cancellations passengers are having to endure.
My recent complaints have gone unresponded.
Today Friday May 10, I attempted to speak to a manager to complain about a further X98 cancellation.
I was told that all were in a meeting and that none were able to leave the meeting to speak to a revenue providing passenger.
This isn't good enough.
Frequent cancellation of busses, due to driver shortage or bus breakdown is not good enough.This reflects on the inability of management.You should have to lay on taxis or alternative transport in the event of failure. This should be a condition of the awarding of a licence for a route.
I must however praise the high calibre of the drivers. It's a pity that the management are not of the same high calibre.

Sat next to my partner as she had a horrific experience with a connections bus driver trying to force her to speed through our local village of Rufforth. She dutifully stuck to the various limits as he repeatedly tried to pressure her by driving too close. As we pulled into our drive he gave her the vees. We phoned to complain but was cut off. It’s all on our dashcam. Disgusting behaviour

Out of all the services in Leeds, the 11 is my favourite. On time and friendly drivers. As clean as they can be for busses these days.
Too many times first busses have just not shown up or are late constantly.

Ignored people waiting in the bus stop. Even after gesturing to stop.

A hopeless service. Been here 50 minutes and x52 at Harrogate a no show.....again.
No-one ever answers the phone either. Sick of standing in the cold for a bus that may or may not turn up.

Drivers not paying due care and attention, saying they didn't see us on the kirb as he drove through a huge dirty puddle, coats, clothes but more annoyingly my brand new £145 pair of emu suede boots totally soaked in dirty water, the company are refusing to pay for them to be cleaned, disgusting!

Connexions Buses drivers are some of the most friendly people you will find in the area. They will always wait, always smile and always want to have a chat! A while ago my nephew was travelling on the No.21 bus finishing at York Stownbow. He kindly drove the bus around the Hugate loop to save him from crossing a busy road, and dropping him off next to where i was waiting for him and the next bus. However, if travelling with them be prepared for a long wait. They very rarely run on-time, on a few experiences with the 21 and 13, they are mostly around 5 - 20 Mins late. Thanks for the great drivers though!
