I emailed Clogau Gold to ask whether they could advise on who might repair a bracelet I had had for some years. Emails were answered promptly, in a friendly and personal way and Clogau undertook the repair themselves at no charge. Fantastic service. Llongyfarchiadau!

Customer service is horrible. Website lacks tax information. Price does not contain VAT. They send a wrong bill and refuse to correct it.

I wanted to make myself a 10th wedding anniversary gift and got myself a charm bracelet. The price on the website was 119£, which corresponds to 154.41€ on the day of purchase. I paid 154.41€ (now you cannot do it anymore) and assumed that as the UK price contains VAT, in my order taxes has been also included. Unfortunately, later I learned they were not. That means that my price was 20% higher than listed because I had to still pay EU import taxes. Mine were especially high because I got a bill from Clogau for 154.41£ although I paid 154.41€. They refused to send a correct bill.

As with other reviews, customer service is a complete waste of time. I've filled in the returns form 4 times, nothing happens, you submit the form, it goes blank and that's it, no response from clogau. I then tried to reply to the order confirmation email, which it says you can do, still no response. Absolutely dire, they take your money but seems they aren't particularly keen to give it back in a refund. Wouldn't recommend buying on line would rather go to the shop next time, if there is a next time

Had a beautiful pendant bought for my birthday ( Past Present Future Pendant) and the matching ring for Christmas, absolutely beautiful. Angela at our local Broughton store was very friendly, welcoming
and helpful on both occasions.

Very disappointed I bought a for-get-me-not ring in gold about 5/6 years ago. My grandmother left me money and she loved clogau. So thought the ring was a lovely idea. Well the band snapped and sent away clogau to be repaired only to be told it’ll cost £85!
This was a dress ring and only worn on special occasions surely the ring should have a longer lifeline for £900?

Customer service is non existent!
I received a faulty item. I emailed Clogau 3 times and received no response. I had to open a case with PayPal and then they finally responded, telling me I had to return the item at my own expense. There was also a list on conditions. It’s the last item I will buy from Clogau. The quality and service is no longer there.

Over the past few months I have separately sent some much loved, well worn, gold items off for repair and each time they have been done FOC despite a local jeweller quoting hundreds. I cannot fault your after sales or the lovely people in your Cardiff store and your customer sevices centre. Da iawn pawb.

Ordered a pair of earrings from Clogau for a present. On the web site, they looked white and blue, Forget me Nots, no description of the stones mentioned, so I contacted the company for confirmation of what the stones were, I was informed they were white and blue Topaz, so I ordered the earrings
The earrings I received were tiny and not only was the middle stone, YELLOW, but they only vaguely resembled the picture on the web site.
Clogau did allow me to return them for a refund, but, at my own expense, a prepaid return label could be supplied, as a gesture of goodwill!
I have purchased jewellery from this company previously and been more than happy with the quality. After this latest experience, wont be doing so again, the quality does not warrant the cost.
NB, in response to Glogau - I received a pair of earings that had very little resemblance to those i ordered, not a slight difference. Buyers beware, this company can supply you with a piece of jewellery very different from what you ordered and maintain it was in the 'editing stage' that means you may end up very disappointed with the piece of jewellery you receive.

An update to my original review.

Remarkably following my original review my order status changed to indicate my order had been dispatched and a Royal Mail tracking number was provided. The Royal Mail tracking system stated they'd been advised of the order but hadn't received it from the vendor yet. Royal Mail advised if the status didn't change in 48hrs to contact the vendor.

Having contacted Clogau customer service using the email address advised I received a very quick response, a positive change to my previous experience.

I was advised my order had been lost in transport and a refund could be issued or the order resent, however one of the items ordered wasn't in stock. The order was dealt with quickly by the customer service representative, again another vast improvement.

I contacted Royal Mail regarding the lost order. I was advised the order wasn't lost and while a tracking number had been taken out for the delivery the physical items had not been handed to them.

While my subsequent experience with customer services was a vast improvement and the representative I dealt with was very efficient, I would suggest anyone ordering from Clogau take any information provided on their order with a very large pinch of salt and directly contact the delivery firm identified if there are any delays as the information provided by Clogau may not be wholly correct.

Having been a long standing customer, both instore and online, I purchased items in the online sales after Christmas. Money was taken immediately but products still haven't been dispatched two weeks later despite all items being shown as in stock.

I've contacted customer service three times requesting an update on my order. Despite receiving automated emails confirming my query has been received and a response would be provided within 48hrs I've received no updates what so ever.

While I appreciate the Christmas break and Royal Mail issues may cause delays I would expect dome form of response within this time frame.

I would not recommend anyone purchases online at present as it seems apparent orders cannot be fulfilled and customer services are I'll equipped to deal with queries.

Went in to enquire about a necklace my husband bought me last year, he purchased the tree of life necklace with the glass heart, we noticed a crack but couldn’t understand how.
Anyway long story short, we went into your store in broughton to ask how we go about getting it fixed with no receipt we did not expect to get much help.
But the lovely lady (I’m sorry I did not get her name, young girl with long blond hair) took a look at the necklace, asked if we had a bank statement for proof which we did, after showing this and proving it was within 12 months she presented me with a brand new necklace!! No repair work, no hassle, no waiting weeks, I could have cried. Thank you so much!!

I bought the ring we wanted, after my partner getting measured in store by a member of staff the ring came back and it was too big, they then resized it and it after measuring a second time it is still slightly too big. When shopping online there was a 15% discount promotion offer at the time, on checking out there was no area to apply this discount, I continued as I thought there must be a place later on in the checkout process. There was not, instead they gave a free gift which is made of leather which you had to select to compete the process, I contacted them and made them aware of this as both me and my partner are vegan and I found it ridiculous. They have made no efforts to rectify this issue. Very disappointed as we wanted to support a Welsh company and local ethically mined materials. Gutted.

Very disappointed with the new initial necklaces. My husband bought me the initial E costing £179 for my Birthday and although very pretty for the money very, very, very, delicate. The chain is extremely fine and the chain twists causing kinks and needing to untwist so the chain sits correctly. I have a number of Clogue items and this necklace is not worth the money!

I normally purchase from the high street store but on this occasion I purchased on the website. I understand that Royal Mail have been on strike and delivery or non delivery was out of Clogau’s hands but the customer service that I received was awful, actually even worse than awful.
I called on numerous occasions to receive any update on my order but unsuccessful attempts to get through!
Eventually I managed to speak to a Laura or Lauren, talk about rude!
If this person deals with customer service then she needs to look for a new job, the lack of compassion was zero and her tone was disgusting.
All I wanted was reassurance that I would eventually receive my order, unfortunately the attitude was it’s not my problem here’s a refund!

I looked on line about a certain ring and size , it showed they had them in stock in the Chester store so off I went to purchase it , when I got there there was no one seving in the ship but a guy did eventually come out from the back , I asked about the ring and he went in the back to look , he came back empty handed and said that they had none left . I then asked him did Broughton store have any as this was close to home . He said that he didn't know , I then asked if he could ring Broughton to see if they had the ring in stock to which I was told that he couldn't do this and I would have to call them or go down there myself . Awful experience for what was a quite expensive piece of jewellery, could of been handled a lot better . That said on the flip side the girl in the Broughton store was absolutely fantastic and couldn't of been more helpful . I will never go in the Chester branch again after that experience .

The staff at Clodau (Welsh Gold Jewellery) have been exceptionally kind, both at Head Office and in the Rhuthin shop. The Rhuthun ladies in particular could not have been more kind, caring and helpful and I'm so Grateful 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

Fantastic Quality jewellery & accessories every time thankyou, was waiting for a Christmas competition this year so far not one ,entered ever since they began was hoping for my lucky year 😂 seriously great company spent a lot of money on the wife here ,birthday & Christmas, valentines day, she's a Welsh lady & won't wear anything but Clogau jewellery & now has a massive collection, probably open her own branch 😂 thankyou Clogau for everything a very merry Christmas to you all at Clogau

I have been a customer of this company for a number of years purchased opposing earrings for an important birthday present only to receive two same earrings poor service very disappointed service poor as could not get hold of anybody to discuss this matter.

I wish I could give Clogau 0 stars. Contacted Clogau as purchased ring was needing repair under warranty. Sent photos of damage and was told to return.Returned my wife’s ring in September 22 along with return number supplied. After two weeks I had not heard anything. Contacted Clogau and was informed that they had the ring, but didn’t know who the owner was and were waiting to be contacted. Another two weeks pass and I contact them again, told that ring was off for repair and would be back soon. At no time whatsoever did Clogau contact me, I had to instigate every email. Finally after countless emails ring returned after being away over 2 months. Clogau customer service is deplorable. They must be dealing with so many returns that they cannot reply to customers. Avoid this company at all costs, the amount of gold content in their jewellery is minimal for what you pay . AVOID disappointment and stay well clear of Clogau and there customer services.

We wanted a new ring but unsure what the staff at the conway clogau shop were above and beyond with there assistance we have purchased many items over the years 1st class service
