Overpriced
My fault for buying an extreme example of fashion jewellery. My wife likes the pendant; luckily she doesn’t know how much it cost. I received a 10% discount for signing up to emails, but £190 for a tiny necklace and pendant with about £20 (I’m being generous) of intrinsic worth is extortionate. Also, what is “Rare Welsh gold”? It is the same as, and indistinguishable from, any other sort of gold. The fact that there isn’t much gold left in Wales is undoubtedly a shame but shouldn’t be an excuse to charge the earth. The necklace arrived rattling about in a little box. I shan’t make the same mistake again.

It’s my 70th coming up and my dear wife…
It’s my 70th coming up and my dear wife ask me what do I want for my special birthday.the reply I gave was a new watch. Due to us over the years has supported Clogau gold a company well know in wales for our gold accessories etc and must say always a quality service given..due to us been in Cardiff for a few days me and my husband wentin clogau shop and must say very impressed with choice and quality of men’s watches. Also shop assistant was polite and caring but didn’t know any technical information about the £550 watch that we were interested in. Anyway I wanted to support local clogau gold shop that was in carmarthen town. So we went in a few days to Carmarthen branch and ordered a special watch for my husband birthday.but I must stress Carmarthen store was as good as Cardiff in politeness but no training was given to staff about how technical the workings of a £550 watches works etc.also no wrist measuring tool just guess work. Anyway what I am trying to say is please get your lovely shop assistants trained.so when customers like me who wants to support a welsh company that they are up to date and give us confidence of buying from clogau gold.just hope really when my lovely wru watch returns to me after a few weeks removing linkages to fit my wrist that the guess work will be a good fitting?

I have owned clogau items since I was…
I have owned clogau items since I was young adult and always loved all the products. Recently one of my elastic bracelets broke, through general wear and tear it did break. It the first one that has broken on me.
I was passing by an outlet shop in Chester and mentioned this, they advised they could take a look and see if it could be repaired but may be at a cost. It got sent away three weeks and I hadn’t heard back until I got a knock on the door this morning.
Inside my special delivery box was my fixed bracelet, in a box with a new cleaning cloth. I was amazed.
Such fantastic customer service! Thank you so much!

Excellent Service
I damaged my bracelet and sent it to Clogau for repair, it was returned to me within 5 days and repairs completed free of charge. I love their products, I am an avid collector, I hope one day to have a worthy collection to gift to my granddaughters so the love of Welsh Gold continues.

I bought the Honey Bee ring at the cost…
I bought the Honey Bee ring at the cost of £430 online at C W Sellors Fine Jewellery, there is no real quality to this piece, It looks cheap and it is very thin it has none of the quality of the pieces I bought in the 90s, l will never buy Clogau again as far as I am concerned it's a rip-off.

Made in china. The 1 star is because clogau jewellery is made in china. And for the prices they charge absolutely disgusting. I just found this out right now. No wonder this country is going to the dogs with big business doing stuff like this.

Originally, all Clogau jewellery was manufactured in North Wales, but in 2005 the decision was made to move production overseas in an attempt to fulfil customer demands for shorter manufacturing and delivery times, and to sustain the growth of the brand.
The change has meant that the costs to both customer and company have been reduced, and customers now receive their jewellery with 2-3 working days, instead of several weeks. It has also meant that we can keep up with the demand for Clogau jewellery on the high street and, increasingly, internationally.
The majority of Clogau jewellery is made up of multiple components due to the addition of Welsh gold (usually in the rose gold detailing), thus complicating the manufacturing process. A team of dedicated employees are responsible for creating jewellery of the utmost beauty and quality.
We are happy to confirm each piece of Clogau jewellery contains a constant percentage of Welsh gold within the gold element of the jewellery.
We understand that customers and collectors of our jewellery need some assurance that Clogau contains Welsh gold and that the percentage is safeguarded so we have a meticulous quality system of assurance in place which ensures that the percentage is constant. These systems are audited annually by Edinburgh Assay Office and a separate certificate of assurance is issued each year.

Purchased items in stores have always had no issues but...... The online services using the online shop is beyond poor. Basic responses using the built in contact us system..... Nil. Email..... Nil. What's the point in having methods of communication if your staff can't respond to them.

Great customer service once again
Great customer service once again. Repaired my bracelet FOC and returned it in just over a week. Excellent service. Lovely company to deal with. Feel like they give you a personal service. 5 stars all the way for me, they always look after me well. Their jewellery is quality worth a look at their website folks. Can highly recommend.

Absolutely dreadful Customer service
Absolutely dreadful! I originally bought a ring whose stones promptly became dull. Clogau does not issue refunds, and so I had the exchange the item. That's when the fun really started! I have never come across such an incompetent company before. Not only did they keep no record of our many interactions over the 2+ month period it took for them to finally send me the earrings, they lost my return. Fortunately, I had proof of postage and proof of delivery, even then it took me chasing them for over a week with said details to finally get the earrings.
The earring themselves, like most Clogau items are just overpriced silver with a tiny bit of gold. I'm certainly not going to go through all of that again to exchange them for another item, and I can't get a refund.
Dreadful service, incompetent, and even after all of my interactions with them, they could not even get my name right. I am J Mitchell, not G Mitchell!

Amazing Service - Thankyou
After wearing my Clogau necklace every day for over 30 years, the clasp broke. I contacted Clogau customer services for advice on repair and was told to return it for a free repair.
Today I received my repaired neckace - cleaned and repaired free of charge. Amazing service, the staff were responsive and knowledgeable. A Brilliant Company with great products and fantastic customer service. Thank you all.

Concern with elastic on beaded bracelet
My
Wife was sitting watching TV this evening when suddenly her Enfys Bach Affinity Bead Bracelet just fell from her wrist into many pieces.
Very disappointed that I paid £139 for the bracelet that’s barely lasted 15months.
Sadly cannot locate the receipt but I’ve always purchased directly from Clogau looking closely at what’s left of the bracelet then the way the elastic has shredded is obviously a sign of a fault in the design this has not broken in a way consistent to elastic snapping.
Maybe you may want to remember this if you are intending to buy similar as you may end up with the same
problem.

I bought 2 baby bangles and paid the extra to have them engraved, when they arrived the inscription was very hard to read and was engraved in the inside of the bangle , i thought it would of been engraved on the outside so that it was seen

Fantastic Customer Service
I went to the Clogau branch in Conwy today and had the pleasure of meeting your staff member Melissa.
She was knowledgeable without being pushy and I could tell the love she had for the pieces and company.
She was able to strike a note with both myself and my friend and it was one of the best customer service experiences I have had.
Unfortunately I currently couldn't afford to buy something on the spot but now that I have met Melissa and she has told us the Clogau background, not only will i be making sure I buy from yourselves when I do have the money but i want to come back to Conwy to make sure I buy it from Melissa and I will be recommending this company to friends.

Disappointing
I was given a ring from Clogau from a loved one. I tried it on christmas day and it seemed perfect. When it was just 16 days later I wore the ring, and it fell off. I was really worried as I'd never had any clogau jewellery. I phoned customer services who told me to take it to the
Bangor store. I travelled to Bangor with my partner, as advised, which was around 20 mins each way. The staff were very superior and stated that the ring was badly damaged ( the man said silver wears quickly, it was 17 days old. Worn once and tried on christmas day, which isn't really an endorsement for buying silver ) The staff said I need to bring in all the packaging ( I brought it I the box with a receipt) I asked the jiffy bags it came in from the internet? I've never heard of anything like that, why would someone buy you a gift and keep the plastic internet packaging, there was no paperwork, my receipt was on a email.
We were spoken down to and made to feel like the product was totally worthless at 17 days old. I'd gone to the store to ask for assistance and buy my daughters 21st birthday gift. Needless to say I didn't purchase anything, and nor would I again. I emailed, there was no reply, I called customer services which was closed, despite it being in the hours stated on the website. I do not recommend dealing with this company at all.

They cancelled order and I’ve had to chase the refund!
Purchased an item for my friend’s 50th birthday on 2nd January. Clogau emailed me on the 4th January to say they cannot fulfill the order. I have been chasing the refund ever since and it’s now the 15th January 2024 with no refund in sight. Appalling customer services and attitude and all of my questions to Henry in customer services have been ignored. When I pointed out they have 14 days to refund my money from the point they cancelled the order I was emailed to say they’d made a mistake saying money would be refunded in 10-14 days and that it would 3-5 working days. Untrustworthy and I will not be buying any Welsh gold from them ever again!

As mentioned, Henry has replied several times so is well aware of the issue and my complaint as to why I have had to chase to get a refund, which I still do not have. You are not a bank that I choose to leave my money with and I have never experienced a retailer cancel and order and not automatically issue a refund. He has given me no apology or answered my questions such as why you do not issue an automatic refund. I purchased this item on 2nd January 2024.

I have I have not got a tracking no ot dose not say to get any no on the return part of the sight sent pictures of the broken necklace everything even had the matching bracelett for Christmas that was pointless I did not have 30 pounds to send recorded delivery I keep emailing customer service very very disappointing think I shall recommend people use a different jewelry store now and certainly won't buy as gifts again very disappointing
