Absolute rubbish. No color at all. Most disappointed. Might as well put money down the drain. Will never use this company again.

I have been using Clairol for years but the past couple of uses it has dyed my hair much darker than usual and is a nightmare to rinse. I even had to pay a hairdresser to try and correct it.

Rubbish..new mixture/brew of clairol, nice &easy AVOID..if you ever split the batch (don't) there is a nominal amount of actual colour , hard to use , washes out super fast...CHANGE brand with haste..

Please bring back the old formula! Nice’n Easy to 10 minutes is awful! It doesn’t work at all. I’d much rather spend an extra 20 minutes and have better results. Meanwhile, I’m coloring twice a week with your new, 10 minute version. Do this soon, or I’m going to have to switch brands.

I bought my usual colour, used it for years - number 7 Dark Blonde and couldn’t believe it when the mixture turned purple! By this time I had applied it to my roots and within 6 minutes it was rinsed off! Why isn’t there a warning on the box that this is a different formula and it will look purple in colour?
When I googled this I see I wasn’t the only person to have got the fright of my life!
I’ll be looking for another company next time - sorry Clairol - not good enough! 😕

If I could give zero stars I would.
Used the colour strong, came out nothing even vaguely like on the box.
After 2 emails, hair pictures before and after photos of the box and a 15 minute interview I was told to provide receipt despite sending photo of box With bar codes etc.
They are basically too big to care about customers.

Have used Nice and Easy dark brown for years, but not any more, does not cover greys properly and new formular has left a green tinge on my hair, absolutely will be going with another brand.

I have been using nice and easy colours for years...there is something very odd and different recently..basically ..THEY DONT WORK...i dont know what they...clairol..have done..but the colour will not stay past one wash...total rip off u shall NOT be buying any more..would be very interested how many of you girls out there have the same prob...i know...its not me ...it is definatley the product

I’ve used this semi permanent black hair dye for over 10 years for my roots with no problems but recently it hasn’t been covering my grey roots very well & also washes out within a week,
Really disappointed I’m now going to hv to look for a alternative to use , 1 that actually works 😢

Used the product for many years with no problems, until this time. Disaster. Used usual colour 9.1 on blonde hair, it turned very dark grey with purple and lilac streaks, hideous.Cotacted a hairdresser who recommended, stripping the hair immediately.Calmed the colour slightly
Now been stripped 3 more times and 3 more toners. Still grey. Contacted the company, a very helpful young lady But after 4 nightmare days and countless treatments,very expensive for all the products, and even more treatments still necessary, I have been awarded a £9.00 refund. Will never use again
Be very very careful, I'm just lucky that I still have hair.

If I could have give this a zero star rating I would have!!! I have used Clairol nice and easy which use to be 118 medium brown and now known as 5 medium brown perminant colour dye for over 35 years without any issues at all. The last few times that they have changed the formular noticed my colour changing a bit each time i used it, but to be honest just thought it was because I must have a build up on the rest of my hair as have used it for many years and was not to bad and was better than having grey roots. But this time oh my god!!!!! I noticed a major change as I started to mix it up, the colour changed straight away as I mixed it, normally took a bit for the colour to change in the mixing bottle and was not as thick as normal, but carried on as normal and applied it as i have done for many years. When finished washing it all off, used the conditioner as normal and again this did not smell the same and was very thin, it normally takes a bit of time to wash out as I have very thick hair, but washed out straight away in seconds which again was not right. when i brushed my hair and looked in the mirror, it had not taken as normal it just looked like a dirty tea stain on my roots!!!! my hair once dried looks like a joke not even looking brown at all and looks far worse than having grey roots!! my hair is various different colours of what should have been medium brown where the formula keeps changing and is so dry feels like straw. I have spent so much time crying when I look at my hair and am so embarrassed for people to see me like this. I have had to work overtime at work just so I can afford to go to my hairdresser and get this rectified which will be done in next few days just so i can finally be happy with my hair and go out again as have been hiding away and be the colour it should have been. I am hoping that writing this review it will stop someone else having to experience what I have gone through.

Bought the sunset rose colorstrong to go from a medium strawberry blonde to more a solid reddish color. Followed all instructions and it didn't change my color at all. And I mean not at all. Very disappointed and will never buy this brand again

I have been using nice and easy for more years than I can count and lived the colour match to my hair. The colour I buy is medium brown number 5. Brought a bottle and mixed it and notice not a lot of smell and the formula had a pink tone amd when mixing turned purple, I thought I’m not putting thst on my hair, so I went and brought another so in total cost me £14 so not affordable, same thing slightly less pink so I used it as Thougjt maybe formula had changed. Results off green highlights where my greys are. Gutted as 2 interviews coming up and don’t want to look stupid. I also could not afford £14 on hair dye thst ruined my hair. I would like a refund L’Oréal. Needless to say will not be using this product again. Rather be grey

The last 2 times my hair has not covered very well and seems lighter than usual .Use brown/black .Greys not covering evenly

I’ve been using Clairol permanent hair dye for about 20 years, but over the last few years the colour has started bleeding onto towels for weeks after dyeing, which has led me to switch to Wella.

My older sister has vision problems at the moment so, I coloured her hair with the usual Medium Honey Blonde, last time, her hair had patches of Grey, this time when I did my own hair Light Beige Blonde, I can see my scalp a little more at the top and my head is sore, I ALWAYS rinse until I can no longer feel slimy hair and the water MUST be clear, I have ALWAYS done that, I will NEVER colour my hair again, never, Thanks very much Nice 'N' Easy.

I have been using Nice’n Easy 9B for years and never had a problem. The first thing I noticed was the liquid in the bottle was less. I the mixed it with the colour. The smell hit me straight away. It smelkedlike it did when my mum used to bleached her hair in the 70’s . Almost immediately i couldn’t breathe and had to get my inhaler. It’s actually given me an asthma attack. I’ve had to rinse it off before it took.
I have no idea why you have changed it but it was grey ish purple when it came out rather than the white.
I will be writing a complaint to head office. And will jot be using again. Very disappointed.

what my problem is, is that I have brought hair dye from you in the colour amber I have put it in my hair let it sat for 15 mins I’ve wasted it out and it has came back out red this is unacceptable for this to happen and now I have to walk around on with this bad colour in my hair I have been crying my eyes bawls out this is unacceptable again

Yuck! Far too runny and a strange colour too. The coverage is not is good as the original Nice 'n Easy either - such a disappointment!

I agree with all the other reviews, the quality of Nice and Easy permanent has gone down the pan! I've been using the black hair dye for 15+ years and since the product change, the grey coverage is really poor compared to before and has washed/ scratched off by week 4, plus the formula irritates my scalp a lot more more. And the conditioner just leaves my hair feeling claggy. Whoever thought it a good idea to change the formula should be sacked! And don't bother with the ammonia free one as that's even worse for coverage. Definitely time to change to a different brand!
