Have used nice and easy for nearly 10 years. However their new formula is absolutely horrible! It smells so potent it makes my eyes cry and it’s irritating my skin even though I’ve never had this issue before. Will be looking for other brands as it’s unbearable experience dying my hair now

You need to put in metal instead of plastic tips to pull the hair out of the cap because the plastic bends and it's very very hard

I've been using Nice n Easy light blonde #9 for 10 years and was always happy with the results. Apparently the formula changed because I recently colored my hair and the mixture was purple, as opposed to the usual brown. I used it anyway, and now my hair has a greenish tint, nothing like the results I've had before. I should have known when the solution irritated my scalp that things had changed. I'm so disappointed that I now have to look for a different brand of hair color. Why did you mess with a good thing?

I have been dying my hair with nice and easy for many years now whatever they have changed in the dye has destroyed it. The dye burnt my scalp and snapped my ends and turned it green it was not even a blonde it was aurburn.i would advice anybody not to use this product as I had really healthy hair and I wrote to them and there answer was I should of done a patch test on dye that I use ever 4 weeks and they had no instructions that they had changed anythink. I would hate for anybody else for this to happen to as am left with burns and scabs and green hair 😒

You changed the formula and packaging with no warning on the package to consumers. The change in mixed product from white to dark red brown is shocking and signals quality control failure. Your rollout of these changes is horrific! Had to google to get a rep to discuss this with - you hide your number and the chat doesn't work. Pretty angry about the whole thing.

I have used Clairol Nice and Easy for years and this 10 minute new formula is not thick enough and runs everywhere and gets everywhere. The 10 minutes is very appealing, the drippiness is not. My hair is still wet, so I can’t review the quality of the color just yet.

I don’t usually use Claro and I picked it up by mistake but as long as I had it, I figured I might as well go ahead and use it. It was called dark brown. My hair has been dark brown on my life. Once I got done my hair was black black is unacceptable. This is not dark brown. It made my hair stringy it made it come out in clumps and when I first washed my hair a couple days later, the color came out in big spots so I have lighter spots all over my head from this product. I can’t give you any less stars I would give you -100 if I had a choice this is the worst product I have ever used and you ruined my hair. You need to take this crap off the market.i I think it would be nice if you would make reparations to people you ruined their hair

Clairol pro fixer! Turned my hair from brown to bright ginger, was so shocked Im off tomorrow first thing to get a dye. Certainly worked but cant believe Im left ginger!

I bought this and I thought it would be the color that it showed on the picture but no it wasn't really so what I did was I bought another one and I'm going to use it to make my hair brighter to see if it works but if it doesn't work then it's definitely going to be probably one star so

Terrible! Do not waste your money! Have used dark brown number 4 for many years..last 2 times...horrendous! I had no idea product had been changed..does not cover greys any more, leaves a strange green tinge to the hair, and 'colour' does not last at all..also I'm sure tge conditioner is different too...does not condition!!!! Very poor quality. Will never buy again..such a shame after so many years of using

Have been using medium brown nice and easy shade for years and it always used to colour and cover my grey well. I not sure why they have changed it is now to runny to put on, my greys are not fully covered and it comes out patchy and after a few washes there seems to be no colour, also my hair is not in the best condition now, it's a shame but will be looking for another brand now.

I've colored my hair for 50 years and I've used multiple products over this time. But....I bought 2 boxes of Clairol Nice and Easy, 8S Soft silver. My hair is long. I highly recommend you choose something else. It's been a week since I colored my hair. As soon as I put it in my hair, my scalp started burning. I didn't think much of it until later in the day when I realized my scalp was sore and there were blisters on the crown of my head. It has been over a week and I still have swelling and it is still painful. I just hope to God my hair doesn't fall out. I sent the company an email and it's been crikets from them. Ahh, they don't want to talk to me.

It dyed everything except my actual hair. Messy. Hate.

I bought this product at Walmart. #6 light brown. I called CSR because I was not satisfied with results. It did not cover gray hair at all. The representative asked for credit card information including the 3 digit code on the back. She was rude once I told her I was not giving her that information. I mean, Really?! It's not worth the $4 for you to have access to my card! Never will I ever purchase from Clariol again.

They've really messed up when they changed the formula, I bought medium brown.....I expected medium brown not green/ginger. Looks absolutely disgusting. I have to buy another dye to cover over this vile colour, I don't want to over process my hair, but look like I'll have to.

I've been using this for many years and feel really disappointed. I won't be buying any more, they don't deserve my money.

This brand completely ruined a perfect product. Ever since they stripped out the ammonia and all the original pre 2020 ingredients to jump on the "clean/ammonia-free" trend, the quality has completely tanked. It is no wonder everyone's hair looks completely ruined in 2026 because of these useless new formulas.Levels 8 and 9 used to deliver a clean, reliable blonde. Now, because they cut out the proper chemistry and the cool toning pigments, it turns your hair a cheap, disgusting brassy gold and bright yellow. The mix is thin, has zero gripping power, fails to lift correctly, and washes out into a warm mess immediately. Stop cheaping out on raw ingredients and bringing out watered-down rubbish under the guise of an "upgrade." The post 2020 formulas are completely useless.

I have used Nice'n'Easy no 5 Medium Brown for years. This time, after mixing, the mixture looked pinkish as I applied it, although it went darker as usual while it was working. However afterwards, the colour is not the same as usual. It is much lighter and has a brassy effect so there is a definite difference between my roots and the rest of my hair.

Have used Nice&Easy dark brown for over 15 years. Since the recent changes it does not deliver the same shade, and does NOT covsr my gray roots AT ALL(even though I leave it in for 45 min)!! The root spray that I have used for years has also become horrible! If I touch my hair anywhere near my scalp, my hands turn black..hours later! You claim the color will not do this . I don't understand how you can take consumers money, when all your product claims are not true. So disappointing!

Since you have stopped producing Clairol Nice and Easy non permanent BLACK no.83, I tried using the new Black soft colour. It produced really bad results. Dull, non-descript colour and a complete waste of time and money.
Would it be possible to re-introduce the original no.83?
