I have recently moved to a flat via chancellors. The flat was not cleaned, mould was there, used needles and trashes were there and the cooker was rusted. But when I informed Chancellor, Mandy has came there and looked at everything and informed the landlord. Within 2 days everything was done. Cleaning were done. Cooker was replaced. Mandy has asked landlord to do the decoration as well. Thank you Mandy and Chancellors for doing everything quickly. Thank you so much.

Our experience with Chancellors has been profoundly disappointing, defined by a distinct lack of administrative reliability and a complete failure to enforce basic standards of hygiene and maintenance.

The issues began prior to the tenancy, when Chancellors altered our move-in date after a specific date had already been formally agreed. Following this disruption, we were assured that a decent minimum standard of cleaning and preparation would be completed in advance of our arrival.

Regrettably, upon arriving today on our official move-in date, we found the flat in an appalling condition. The actual state of the property stands in stark and unacceptable contrast to the tenancy contract itself, which contains exceptionally strict terms dictating the pristine condition in which tenants must return the property at check-out. This represents a profound lack of reciprocal accountability; the agency enforces flawless compliance from tenants whilst handing over a property that fails to meet basic standards.

Domestic hygiene has been entirely overlooked: the floors have not been vacuumed, the carpets are dirty, the curtains remain unwashed and the mattresses are in an unacceptable state. The kitchen appliances are similarly compromised, with both the washing machine and the fridge left uncleaned. Furthermore, essential maintenance has been completely neglected; the kitchen sink is broken, the microwave is damaged and the mechanical extractor fans in both the toilet room and the bathroom are non-functional.

It is evident that the landlord has failed to address these ongoing issues for a number of years. It is deeply concerning that Chancellors—the largest letting agency in Oxford—permits landlords to hand over properties in such an egregious state of neglect whilst simultaneously holding tenants to incredibly stringent contractual obligations at checkout.

We expect Chancellors to take immediate responsibility, arrange an urgent professional deep clean and rectify these mechanical and structural defects without delay.

I expected a big agency in Oxfordshire to be hard to reach, but Chancellors Headington were the opposite - super easy to communicate with.Even when things went quiet on the paperwork side, they always came back quickly with answers and kept everything moving. No loose ends.
Shout to Jude for the viewings and James for handling the process. Great service overall, 9/10, with that last 1 point for me as an amazing client lol. Definitely recommending them!

We had a fantastic experience with Chancellors in Headington, especially working with Ibrar Hussain. From the start, he was proactive, professional, and genuinely helpful.
He kept us informed about new properties coming onto the market and was very aware of our situatio, that we only had one day in Oxford to view places. He made sure we were able to see several suitable properties in that short time, which we really appreciated. He also kept us updated throughout the day (even letting us know when another agent was running five minutes late), which made everything feel well organised and stress-free.
Ibrar processed our application quickly and kept us informed at every stage. He was genuinely enthusiastic when he called to say the landlord had accepted our application, which made the whole experience feel personal and positive.

I have been with Chancellors Headington for 7 years, and that fact alone should say it all, but anyway:
The services are top notch, taking care of every single thing needed for renting the property out. Staff (Poppy, Jude, etc.) is very attentive and responds to emails and deals with any arising issues promptly. Very happy indeed.
