They were helpful with getting houses for students who didn’t know what to do

The agency, and especially their client manager Ms Wood, were crucial in helping me secure my flat from abroad. I had difficulties getting in touch with other agencies because I can't call UK numbers and also, not many agencies bother with clients like me who can't do physical viewing. Ms Wood was always available, even outside UK working hours, and eased my communication with the landlord. Very satisfied with their service.

Unfortunately, I regret leaving a “positive” review earlier regarding this property I was shown from Chancellors.

On the day of the property, I mentioned how many tenants (3) would live in the flat and was told it was acceptable. However, after beginning the renting process, there was no news or update from the agency. They only replied after I chased them to ask for more information.
Then I was told that the landlord declined my offer because the “place would be too crowded” This would have been helpful if it was mentioned on the actual viewing day and not days after getting our hopes up!
For future reference, please let all your customers know this type of information in advance so that they don’t waste their time!

I think the staff at Chancellors is good at reacting to incentives. In particular, when I promised them to give good reviews if they can help resolve problems 1, 2, 3, 4, 5... They became very efficient and enthusiastic about solving my problems.

Emily Dinmore in the East Oxford office has been very helpful and polite, during the period of the advertising of our flat in Oxford. Including monitoring our flat, which we are remote from. She made a major contribution in the early sale of our property, helping to achieve a very good price in a falling market. She linked well with her employers sales monitoring main office.

Have been using Chancellors to let a property and they have been really good and professional.

Helen was very helpful compared to other agents and was very quick to follow up with myself and the landlord.

We sold our flat with Chancellors after a very rocky start with Anthony who undervalued our property by around 40k compared to the other 5 valuations we had (due to him seemingly having not done any research on the property and previous sold prices).
Anthony soon told us he'd found a perfect buyer willing to offer at the same level as the other valuers had suggested. We agreed to go with Chancellors for this reason, but the buyer never materialised (which we were told by others often happens with Chancellors). Luckily we did soon find buyers who were willing to offer at this value.
After accepting the offer, we were transferred to work with Emily Dinmore who was completely fantastic. She was so organised, efficient and friendly. She really went above and beyond to make sure things went smoothly. Even when she was on leave she made appropriate plans for others to fill in and our contact was seamless. Thank you Emily!

We had a terrible experience, negligent staff who made severe mistakes in our admin, causing our move to be postponed by 6 weeks the night before the actual moving day with zero compensation. We were regularly lied to about the landlord’s actions (we later found out in direct contact) and they tried to keep our deposit for damages to items that didn’t exist (we won this fight after a dispute). Chancellors drove us close to a nervous breakdown and I do not recommend working with them.
